The house itself is lovely -- a great blend of 19th century charm and eclectic, quirky decor. The kitchen is beautiful, bedrooms large and comfortable. I was a little concerned, looking at the map, that the location wouldn't be good, but that wasn't the case at all. Savannah is a great walking town, and just about everything is within a mile of the house. It is slightly outside the heart of downtown, but that means it's quieter and parking is easy, and it's still only a 5-minute walk to some great restaurants, Forsyth Park, and a handful of the 24 town squares. There's a Kroger within walking distance for those who want to self-cater. Wish we'd stayed longer!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

We had a lovely stay in the 1855 house. Beautifully decorated, high ceilings and a cook's kitchen, it was just the break I needed with family after four months absence in Iraq. We loved wandering around Savannah's lovely squares - live oaks draped with Spanish Moss abound! Wireless worked well, big claw-foot tub, had a fire in the cute courtyard where my sons roasted marshmallows. A special thanks to the owner for sending back a forgotten toy.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.

We were blown away when we opened the front door to this beautiful home. The photos don't do it justice! It's comfortable, well equipped and we completely enjoyed our weekend here. The Location was fantastic and my favorite part was the fact that Our Bulldogs were welcome.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers.

Our party of 4 was extremely pleased with our stay. Comfortable beds, great location, and we loved the decorating mix of antiques with modern decor. Our friends, who arrived before us, texted us upon arrival that they felt like part of the Savannah elite in the house! I enjoyed a lovely afternoon reading (and napping) upstairs on the couch in the area off of the bedrooms while my friends watched a movie - it was nice to have several separate areas for everyone to do what they liked on their own. I also very much enjoyed several baths in the big cast iron tub. I My only suggestions are to supply a bath pillow and tray to allow further enjoyment for people like me who love bubble baths but don't have time at home to indulge in them, and adding a copy of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil to the DVD library would be a nice touch too. Fantastic house, and the owner was very easy to work with! Book this house, you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We rented both properties for our stay during the Rock & Roll Marathon weekend. There were 4 couples. We enjoyed having the kitchen to prepare dinner and breakfast, we enjoyed the courtyard almost the entire time. It was walking distance for the girls to go shopping, and for our dinner out one night. Kristin was so helpful. We booked right away for next year!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Some friends and I met in Savannah for a long weekend trip. First time I had utilized this site and rented a home instead of a hotel room. What a wonderful experience! The house, with its great location, history, and charm, turned out to be the centerpiece of the whole weekend. While the weather was unseasonably cold, it only gave us the excuse to spend more time at this comfortable house. So much so that on our final night, we decided to stay in and cook, having a wonderful leisurely dinner party in the large dining room. We will definitely try to rent this place again on our next trip to Savannah. If you want to really experience the charm of Savannah, I would highly encourage a stay here!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This house was breathtaking from the moment we set eyes on the front stairway. We rented both properties for a wedding ceremony with close family and friends and it was awesome. We had an early morning ceremony in the beautiful courtyard and a brunch on the main level. There was so much room and the place was charming. Kristin pays such great attention to the detail of the property that you can't help but marvel at the ambience that she has created. Everything was wonderful for our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean. My favorite place was the balcony just off the bathroom. You just slide the big window up and step out to a beautiful view. It was a nice place to reflect. My husband and I agree that we will be coming again soon to rent the garden level retreat for the two of us. Thanks Kristin for all you did to make our stay so enjoyable.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This is a beautiful property. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The pictures for this space do not do this home justice. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. The home is spacious. Beds were comfortable. The location was close to everything on a nice and quiet one-way street. Kristin was available to answer questions. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I would happily recommend it to friends and family. The rate was very reasonable and we were happy to be able to bring our dog along. We hope to return soon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway.

What an amazing house. My friends and I, from around the country, were all meeting in Savannah for a friends wedding and decided on a house instead of a bunch of hotel rooms. Picking this house was the best decision we made. The house is gorgeous and so beautifully decorated. Kristin was helpful, friendly, and just so great to deal with. My friends and I had the time of our lives in Savannah and a huge part of that was spend in this home. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks again, Kristin, for everything!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
