*** New Free High-Speed Internet with Wifi ***
For the 2013 season the Internet/Wifi was upgraded to a much faster service. The new 10mbps is a fast Broadband connection, more like what most of us are used to at home.
We also added a Sony Playstation 3 for playing games and Blu-rays.

As a Photographer I wanted a getaway that would put me in a unique photographic location with moderately easy access. My criteria was to be semi-secluded, but not too far from civilization. My wife and I found this lot across the street from Rumbling Bald Resort. It's a 2-3 minute walk to the Golf course. We aren't inside the Resort, but we do have access to all of the paid amenities. (Golfing, Restaurants, Spa) It's a 2-minute drive to the restaurants, and the Ingles grocery store is around ten minutes. You get the best of everything. Asheville is 40 minutes from the Cabin.
The Cabin was completed in 2009 and we love it. We had the driveway paved so we wouldn't have to deal with tracking dirt into the Cabin. It's 1500 Sq feet, with huge front and back porches. The back porch is covered and has patio furniture and Gas grill. The front porch overlooks our wooded neighborhood.
The Cabin is wood throughout, with cathedral ceiling in the main downstairs living-room. We didn't want sheet rock anywhere. It has a warm relaxing feel to it. In the morning you'll hear the birds, and see the deer running through the neighborhood. The Bedrooms all have Queen size beds. Upstairs we built a large Bedroom/TV room, and put in a widescreen TV. The Cabin has central heating and AC.
The Golf courses in the resort are open to the public, as are the restaurants and the Spa, so these amenities can be used. Of course you also have Lake Lure locations and Chimney Rock Park.
Well-behaved Pets are welcome!

I just returned from a wonderful long weekend with my husband and our boys. What a great trip! The cabin is absolutely beautiful with all the comforts of home. We love Lake Lure, and have stayed in several area cabins but this one definitely gives more bang for the buck! Beautifully furnished, comfortable beds, and VERY clean. The owner is extremely helpful...even sending an email with nearby store hours, hospital and urgent care phone numbers and addresses, and a wealth of other helpful info. My family and I hope to return to the area during summer and would love to stay here again. :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: It was great to have you and your family. Really glad you enjoyed it, and hope to have you back. - Mark

This is a lovely, clean cabin, just like the photos and description promised. The family room furniture was very comfortable and we enjoyed bug-free evenings while playing games on the screened-in patio out back at night. We enjoyed the short ride to Lake Lure each day and then coming back to the cabin to relax on the front porch. The morning of our last day brought a surprise visit by a little fawn, nibbling on greens in the front lawn. This was the ideal home away from home for us. Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The cabin (home) is in a great location to visit Lake Lure15 min and Chimney Rock 20 min areas. Restaurants and local "attractions" are close by (zipline, rafting, etc). The Ingles grocery store is only 10 min away and they have everything you'll need. The home is newly built and beautifully decorated. All of the comforts of home. We had 4 adults and a small child and there was plenty of room for everyone and more. I would highly recommend to anyone getting away for a relaxing retreat. I intend to return in the Fall for another stay! Thank you to the Espisito's for a wonderful experience!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We recently returned from a weekend trip to Lake Lure. This cabin was beautiful! It made for a very relaxing and rejuvenating place to come back to after a fun day. It is directly across from the Roaring Bald Golf Course/Resort- which my husband loves to play at. Its about a 10-15minute drive into Chimney Rock from the Cabin- with great scenery along the way. Would highly recommend to others!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This place is exactly as described and more. The design and amenities are what you would expect from an upscale mountain vacation home. I especially liked the tiled floors in the kitchen and baths. The furniture and mattresses are topnotch. The large covered front porch with 3 ceiling fans was especially nice during a thunderstorm. I liked the open design with the numerous lighting options. One can tell the place is meant for an owners' vacation home and not primarily for rental. Also the rental rate is excellent for the value. Deer, wild turkey, and rabbits were observed from the porch, so bring your camera and zoom lens. Looking forward to hopefully going back next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
