  My husband and I stayed here one weekend as a quick getaway from San Francisco. The redwood hot tub was magical under the huge redwoods that surround it. The house was just the right size for a couple and my husband enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. I look back on this quick trip with found memories - it was truly like escaping somewhere magical. I hope we can stay here again soon.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. If you are looking for a different wine country experience - a bit off the beaten-path and close to the coast - this property and location is for you. We especially enjoyed morning tea and evening wine on the beautiful deck, surrounded by the redwoods. We would also recommend taking in a sunset at The River's End restaurant and brunch at Cape Fear Cafe if you should stay here.

  We loved our stay at Willowhaven. The house is clean, comfortable, beautiful and we felt totally pampered. We recommend this rental to everyone.

  Willowheaven is amazing. It really is an artistic masterpiece but comfortable at the same time. The redwoods provide a tranquil atmosphere and add to the beauty of the property. We Hope to stay here again.

  When we arrived at this home felt as though you forgot we were coming. Only two clean towels in the bathroom which did not smell good. Garbage in all of the cans, the only dish towel provided as more like a cleaning rag and had hair on it! I had to wash towels, sheets and clean the bathroom. Maybe take a look under the furniture some time. Also, very false advertising! Basement with game board. How about disgusting storage area if you dare go down there to do laundry! The glorious hot tub is a disgusting bowl of dirty water you don't dare put your body in. Great disappointment and very false advertising. May want to mention what a horrible neighborhood this house is in too. Would not recommen to anyone.

  Owner response: There obviously was a miscommunication with our housecleaners and the house was not cleaned before these guests arrived. If they had called and told us we would have had the house cleaned immediately. We also would have returned their money. As it turned out we didn't know there was a problem until we read this review several months later. It seems as though once angered these guests found fault with everything. As you can see other guests have given nothing other than rave reviews. We are so sorry these people had such a negative time.

  We spent the week at Willowhaven and what a fabulous vacation. We went kayaking, horseback riding, wine tasting, hiking and bicycling. And we always enjoyed coming home to the comfort and beauty of Willowhaven. I would highly recommend this rental and hope to stay here again soon.

  The hot tub surrounded by seven redwoods is truly amazing--so peaceful and rejuvenating it felt spiritual!
