We loved our time at the Hideaway. We would have breakfast on the lanai before heading out to explore each day. We enjoyed returning to these comfortable but very private quarters. It felt as if we had our own private jungle! This is a great location if you are seeking to avoid the hustle bustle of Honolulu, which we were. Great beaches nearby. Loved all of our food possibilities, too. We felt as if we were able to see the "real" Hawaii from here. Michael and Christine were wonderful to work with...always prompt in their communication. If we return to Oahu, I would definitely stay here!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We arrived here late Wednesday night of Thanksgiving weekend. At first I wondered what we had gotten ourselves pulling into the palm tree drive way late at night. But, once we made it inside I was pleasantly surprised! The jungle hideaway is very much as the description states. It is quaint, tucked away, and just right for a North Shore stay. In the morning, we were greeted by a view of lots of trees some which we later found out had avocado on them! There were a few little insects and a tiny little lizard that we saw at points during the stay, but the backdrop is the jungle so it's an easy trade off. I would def. recommend this spot if you want privacy and to just get away from the crowds. For the two of us, it was just right and exactly what we needed for our brief, yet lovely stay. By the way, Michael and Christine were awesome to deal with and very prompt with clarifications and requests! Thanks Michael and Christine!Recommended for: Romantic getaway

I am so glad we chose to stay at the Hideaway instead of a hotel or condo. It was so nice to have your own private place to come home to at the end of the day. We stayed in Waikiki for a convention at the beginning of the week and then the last five days here. The pictures and the comments from previous guests convinced us to stay and everything you see and read are true. The house was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. We did a shopping run at the grocery store at the bottom of the hill the first day and made breakfast daily and three dinners. A real savings vs. going out to eat. Christine was easy to communicate with and we were provided clear directions. Since we were here in November, the large Northshore waves didn't allow any snorkling, but we were able to swim in the pool under the Waimea Falls just down the street. We did spend plenty of time at the beaches walking in the water and enjoying the crashing waves and watching the surfers. We also watched the turtles swimming and even saw one on the beach sunning himself. We went on several hikes. There is a great hike at the Pali Lookout that I found on Yelp.To the right of the lookout there is a road closed sign and that is the start of the trail. Yelp has clear directions from there to a waterfall (a very small waterfall) and we did run into several people on the trail. There are so many beaches and things to do close by we were never bored and always stayed busy. If you want privacy yet close poximity to so many activities, you cannot go wrong staying at the Hideaway.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for such a wonderful review! So glad you chose to stay at the Hideaway and had such a great time.

I am a first time VRBO user and a first time visitor to Hawaii and The Hideaway couldn't have been more perfect for my family. The owners of the property answered all my questions and more prior to our arrival. During our stay, they provided a quite, comfortable, clean, and relaxing home for my husband, my 1 year old son, and myself. The Hideaway is right in the center of all the wonderful things the North Shore has to offer, including the excellent beaches. The property was well maintained and the queen sized bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. There are many windows and fans, so the house stays fairly cool, even in the Hawaiian heat. The deck is perfect for a sunrise breakfast or a late night barbeque. Having a 1 year old, I was a little concerned about the deck being so open, but there is a railing on there now that is not show in the picture, so there is no danger of little ones falling off. There is a Foodland at the bottom of the hill...sign up for the discount card if you plan on buying a lot of food. We saved about 25% in the week we were there. Waimea Bay is gorgeous...just make sure to get there early, as the parking lot fills up fast! Pupukea Beach is also wonderful. We did not get a chance to visit Shark's Cove, as the surf was too dangerous on the last few days of our stay. The Waimea Valley Gardens are a must...you get to see all the beautiful flowers of Hawaii and at the end of your hike, you get to swim in the Falls! Make sure you take a drive into Haleiwa for shopping and some amazing food. Stop at Turtle Beach on the way and see some sea turtles. In the opposite direction is Laie Point (another must see!) and the Polynesian Cultural Center. The North Shore is a great place to stay if you're looking for a relaxed, non-touristy vacation. The Hideaway provided us with a comfortable place to come "home" to every night. I miss it already.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had the opportunity to stay at the house for a week and loved every moment of it. The house is situated in a great neighborhood, very close to the North Shore beaches and the town of Haleiwa. With a grocery store at the bottom of the road, you are a close drive to the store for anything. The house is clean and kept up with new lighting, nice bathroom, newer kitchen fixtures and newer floors. It is even set back a little from the road giving you even more privacy and the hideaway feel. Honolulu and the airport are just about an hour away too, so if you want to do a day in the city it is within reach. I definitely recommend staying here and hope to return soon. Thanks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a very quiet get away on the North shore area away from the tourist side of Oahu. It is located more in the mountain area, so rain is very am, but refreshing. My two teenage boys managed the futon bed which I worried about at first. The beaches near by are wonderful to escape to quickly. There is a grocery store close by as well as Ted's Bakery and shrimp trucks all which are yummy. If you want to be closer to downtown, this might be too far away to drive (60 minutes) ,but swimming with turtles, snorkeling at shark's cove, and relaxing at home eating some BBQ was the best! Thanks for a very memoriable stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at the Waimea Hideaway was superb. It is tucked away from the street and neighbors. Perched up on the bluff where the tradewinds kept us pleasantly cool. The windows all across the back (facing the rain forest) gave us a feeling of being outdoors. We loved Waimea Canyon Botanical Garden and waterfall. Really an amazing display of tropical vegetation--spent two whole mornings wandering the grounds there. We found the much touted "shrimp trucks" to be a disappointment. Crowded; long waits for food, difficulty parking, etc. The local farmer produce stands and farmers markets provided us with amazing fruits for our breakfasts. It was wonderful to wake up each morning to the sounds of a myriad of birdsongs--even when it was raining.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Sounds like paradise to me!! So glad you enjoyed your stay.

We just returned home from a very relaxing and homey stay at the Waimea Hideaway. Everything I read in the description and the pictures were exactly as the home was found. The kitchen was stocked with enough bare minimums to make whatever you needed. The owners were extremely helpful and very quick to respond to my questions. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone going to the north shore. The location was close enough to the beaches and surrounding towns and attractions to take a break in the middle of the day if needed.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our time at the hideaway. It's just close enough to easily get to all that the N shore has to offer and far enough away to have a quiet home to relax. The location in a real neighborhood is nice but the house is tucked away so the privacy is excellent. We didn't have a problem with the mosquitos we had been warned about. Foodland at the bottom of the road is really convenient. We decided if Foodland didn't have something, we didn"t need it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the Hideaway 4/26 - 4/30 after several days on Waikiki while I attended a conference. What a welcome change of pace! The Hideaway was just as described - a quiet retreat yet easy to find and within minutes of everything we needed. (How convenient to have a grocery store less than 5 minutes away!) Coordination with the owner was very smooth and easy. The house is charming and was just the right size for our family of 4. The beach gear available for use was such a plus. Highlights of our stay included several visits to Waimea Bay Beach Park, turtles at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park, the historic temple ruins (heiau) just down the street, and sunset watching from Sunset Beach. We wished we could have stayed at the Hideaway for our whole visit instead of Waikiki. Next time... Thanks for a wonderful stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This quiet location proved to be a perfect location for us. Conveniently located on the North Shore and within easy drive of all of the North Shore and the East side of the island. We ventured into Honolulu to visit Pearl Harbor, but prefered sticking to the North and East. Communication with the owners was smooth and helpful. Favorite experiences: Opal Thai restaurant in Hale'iwa, turtles on shore at Turtle Beach, pie from Ted's Bakery at Sunset Beach, the historic heiau right down the road from the rental, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, Kualoa Ranch, the list goes on and on. We were there for a week and could have used more time, there is so much to see and do. Thanks for the great rental.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Sounds like you had a jam-packed, fun stay! It really is very easy to get around the island to do whatever you want, but so very nice to return to the calm and quiet of the North Shore to relax afterward. Thank you for staying and we hope you return again.

What a pleasant surprise! You never know what you're going to get until you arrive at the door and we had huge smiles on our faces from the first time we turned into the driveway. The Waimea Hideaway is a perfect location. You truly are 5 minutes from everything you need. The house was perfect for the two of us. It had all the basic ammenities and all we had to purchase were groceries. You feel like you are hidden away in the jungle with the sound of wild pigs, chickens and birds (if anyone is scared of wild pigs...don't be...they never got that close to the house and were really fun to listen to at dusk). The stock of boogie boards, snorkel equipment and beach accessories was perfect for us. We didn't have to rent a thing. After spending one afternoon on Waikiki, I'm so happy we chose to stay in the calm, serene North Shore. This house is truly a gem and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Christine and Mike for sharing this place with us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for the excellent review and I am SO happy the Hideaway worked out so well for you. Sounds like you were able to have some unique experiences while you were there that ones who rent at the beach never get to see. I agree completely about Waikiki...it is too busy and crowded to be paradise down there. The North Shore RULES!! Please come back and stay again. Christine

Wow! What a great spot! I arrived late at night so we just dropped our stuff and and went to sleep. What a great treat to wake up in the morning to a lush garden and birds singing. The location was perfect with walks at the end of the road and groceries and Starbucks at the bottom of the hill plus so many great spots to explore and eat at! We spent 5 days here and 5 at Waikiki and wished we had spent the whole time here instead. The home was even better than the photos And I would highly recommend it Thanks for great memoriesRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

we enjoyed our stay, the house was charming. The back porch was inviting and twice we saw wild pigs, the second time we saw a mamma with about six little pigs. The kitchen and dining area were nice, the couch in the living room is a futon couch, not comfortable to sit on, we brought in the chairs from outside, the table and chairs outside were nice We would recommend the place and if we get back to the north shore will stay therRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My daughter and I stayed at this lovely home for 12 days celebrating her 16th birthday. The house and grounds were immaculate and the location was perfect for us. We were so close to all of the beaches and attractions of the North Shore while having complete privacy. While staying there we enjoyed surfing, swimming, hiking, snorkeling, paddleboarding, shark diving, and best of all total relaxation! The rain forest that abuts the property is beautiful, waking up to singing birds and finding fresh giant avocados on the deck every morning was awesome! Communication and transactions with Michael went smoothly. He has done a great job at making his home the perfect getaway! We would absolutely recommend this home for a vacation. We had the privalige of staying at The Hideaway in January for a week ,we found the property to be better than what we expected, we loved the jungle surrounds and all it has to offer, the peace & quite, the birds, lizards and the gorgeous smells of nature. It is far enough away from the business of the beach area to be very private yet not isolated, what you see in the photos is exactly what you get, clean tidy and very homely. We had no trouble with ants or Mosquitos must have been the right time of the year. Foodland & Starsbucks at the bottom of the street is very convenient and I found the staff and locals to be very friendly and helpful. We loved the casual lay back feeling you get on the North Shore, We enjoyed the Big Waves at Pipeline, turtles at Haleiwa, the Shrimp Trucks are Fabulous we don't have those in Australia. Thankyou Michael & Christine for the ease in which we communicated, it is always a concern booking accomodation online but you made us feel very comfortable. I will definately be recommending the Hideway to family & friends. We enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway. The communication and transactions with the owner were prompt, accurate and the accommodations were exactly as described. We stayed the first week of the year in January, and the weather was perfect. If you like big surf, this is the place, as the whole island turned out when there was high surf warnings for the North Shore. We sat on the beach watching the huge waves crash along with hundreds of other, entranced by the power of the sea. The famous Waimea Bay is virtually across the street and while the 'Eddie' did not happen during our stay, it was great watching the surfers from the overlook, reached by walking down the path from the historic site right there on Pupukea Road. It is likely staying here would be an entirely different expereince in the summer months. We found it a wonderful opportunity to find the real Oahu, apart from the tourist sites in Honolulu. Despite the guidebook review, we had an excellent dinner at the restaurant (Ole?) at Turtle Bay Resort, and found a great beach with turtles right at the shore off Waialua Beach road. In January, we were not greatly bothered by mosquitoes or ants at all. Hideaway is in a very relaxed, 'jungle' environment and really makes you feel as if you are a resident of the island, not just a tourist staying at some beachside condo. If you want to feel really 'Hawaiian' - well, you can't really, but staying here is probably the closest you can get.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

FULL DISCLOSURE: The property is owned by my brother in law. I needed a vacation and my brother in law, Michael, offered his place to me and my wife of 17 years. The first day we came into town we bought some groceries and authentic Kona Coffee. The next morning, I brewed up a batch in the coffee maker I found in the kitchen. I grabbed a mug, a novel and sat outside on the porch. My wife was sleeping in and I kept drinking the coffee, reading and enjoying the Bird of Paradise flowers, avocados, flowers and birds. It was so relaxing and very private. The huge bay windows look out, but there are not any neighbors behind the property to look in. We cooked dinner on the gas grill outside. I recommend getting some pineapple at a roadside stand and grilling it with some chicken or burgers. Groceries are expensive, but it was nice to have a few things on-hand and we enjoyed making some nice meals together. I definitely recommend getting some Roselani Ice Cream. It is made in Hawaii and the coconut pudding and chocolate macadamia nut flavors are awesome. And, if you mix the two together...Oh my. I hope you enjoy the place when you get there. I know I did.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the Hideaway to attend a friend's wedding at the Sunset Ranch. Our stay was excellent. The website is very accurate in describing the unit and Christine was wonderful in quickly responding to any inquiries that we had. The entire transaction process was flawless and nearly everything was done via email (we had decided to send a check as payment, but you can utilize PayPal to make payment). The instructions provided are very clear on how to check in as well as check out instructions. The unit is about a mile or two from the main road and there is a Foodland (a local grocery store) at the bottom of the mountain should you need to buy any grocery. The unit itself comes with a stove and oven, microwave, and full refrigerator, all the necessities to make any home cooked meal. Pots and pans, as well as plates, utensils and cooking utensils are provided, so you don't really need to bring any additional supplies. A gas range available for use outside makes for a great BBQ, something that we utilized. While there were only a few cable stations that we could watch, if you have an ipad or a laptop, with the necessary wires (you need to provide), you can easily connect them to the HD TV available in the unit, and the surround sound was an extra plus. Other reviews mentioned the mosquitoes. Unfortunately mosquitoes are abundant in Hawaii (I am a local resident who have lived on Oahu my entire life). Especially on the North Shore, where there are an abundance of plants and water, any property on the North Shore will likely have this problem. I really admire the owner's acknowledgment of this and provide mosquitoes punks that worked really well when we were there. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again when we want to visit the North Shore.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The short of it: We stayed 5 nights at the end of May 2011. We LOVED it!!!. The long of it: We have stayed at a LOT of VRBO locations on Oahu, we have never had a bad experience but some stand out above the others. From the first communication with Mike this was above the norm. Even though we are familiar with the area we were very impressed with Mike's comprehensive information in regards to the North Shore and the lodging. Other VRBO owners should take note! Things that are important to us and The Hideaway delivered 100%... PRIVACY :) not always easy to come by with a rental but this place really does. We never saw or heard anyone else... just the sounds of all the trees and birds and midnight rain. The whole property was immaculate. The kitchen was in perfect working condition and we used it a lot. The deck was large and we did have a relaxed cookout with some of our local family. The bedding was very nice and comfy and loved the large walk-in shower. Very nice touch to have the beach supplies to use at your discretion. The location is really great, the grocery is at the bottom of the road, all your best surf beaches are right there. Another recommendation to add to the many posted in other reviews is to take time to visit Waimea Valley Hiāipaka across from Waimea Bay Beach. If we find ourselves staying on the North Shore again (and I hope we do) this is the very first place we will look to without hesitation. Thank you Mike and Christine for being a class act and doing business the right way... that made our vacation time stress free and special. :) SB & DSRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. It was the perfect location, just minutes away from Shark's Cove and Wiamea Bay, yet extremely private. We stayed for over a week and never saw the neighbors, yet they are close, seperated by large privacy fences. The location of this place on the North Shore is perfect to relax as opposed to Wiakiki with all the tourists and traffic. Mike and Christine were extremely easy to work with and when we arrived, the place as immaculate. Very nice and clean property. The price was absolutely right but had all the amenities of the more expensive rentals. Close to the North Shore, a grocery store and all the cute, eclectic towns on the north shore. Has everything you need to for laundry, grilling and cooking. Mike even includes snorkel gear. Neighbors on both sides, but a privacy fence so you don't feel too alone but won't notice them either. Mike was very easy to work with and had great communication. I appreciate the prompt refund. Don't hesitate to snap this one up if it's available!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Katherine, Thank you for the kind review. I appreciated all your feedback as well, I am already working on implementing it as well. Mahalo, Christine

We absolutely loved staying in the North Shore area and at the Hideaway! It's now at the top of our list for vacation spots and hope to be back someday! The Hideaway was clean and had a beautiful granite kitchen and tiled bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed having a place to retreat to after long days full of activities. While here, we did it all... - Visited Pearl Harbor and the memorials - Stopped by the Dole plantation for some tasty treats and a fresh pineapple - Visited the Polynesian Cultural Center - Did some snorkeling in Shark's Cove (thanks for the gear!) - Saw lots of sea turtles along the beach - Hiked up Pupukea road and to the waterfall in Waimea valley - Hit the Haleiwa farmer's market for fresh veggies and fruit - BBQ'd some chicken and fresh pineapple kabobs on the back porch Hope to be back someday to do it all again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much! We appreciate your assistance with this, it helps other guests so much to see what a great place the Hideaway is! Mahalo, Christine

My wife and I were trying to decide between this place and various beachfront condos. We ended up choosing this place because we liked the idea of having privacy and a real kitchen. Most other places either shared walls with other condos or were 2nd units on the owner's property, detracting from your sense of privacy. Many condos only have hotplates and microwaves, not real stoves. We were nervous that it would be far away from things but as it turned out the location was absolutely terrific. We're quite picky when it comes to travel, and we certainly would complain if the owner had made it out to seem like this was closer to things than it actually was. In fact the location was one of the best features. Because it's in the mountains, and is set back from the street, you get a sense that you've really got your own private little place. It's a very short drive up into the mountains, a couple minutes basically around the corner from Shark's Cove (world-class snorkeling), Pupukea Grill (get the spicy ahi & better shave ice than Matsumoto's!) and other delicious food trucks and the convenient Foodland (and Starbucks). It's a very short drive to Banzai Pipeline (awe-inspiring surfing), and Waimea Bay (beautiful protected beach), and a quick trip to reach Haleiwa's shops and restaurants. The owner has upgraded the kitchen and bathroom above what would be merely acceptable. Granite countertops, Pergo and a large shower are nice touches to make the stay more enjoyable. The entertainment center is perfect for techies like me. MP3 and VGA connections, speakers throughout the living room and kitchen, plus wifi lend themselves nicely to Netflix or Pandora. The deck, BBQ and beautiful back yard were great to take advantage of, although the mosquitoes were out when we visited. We left some bug spray there for future guests, just remember to put some on before you go outside and you'll be fine. It is a jungle retreat, after all, what do you expect? Having laundry onsite was super convenient, and the owner generously supplied detergent and other essentials like snorkeling gear & guide books. You can also park your car off-street, right next to the door. Mike, the owner, was kind, very accommodating and quick to respond to any e-mails. For all these reasons we will certainly return here on our next trip to the North Shore. If it's still available, I highly recommend you reserve the Waimea Hideaway.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Wow, that is one of the kindest reviews!!! Thank you so much. I really appreciate how you brought out that the location is the best feature, I think that will help potential guests to look beyond the fact that it is not a beach front property. We can't wait to have you back. Mahalo, Christine

The Hideaway is exactly that--a beautiful space tucked back in the trees in a remarkable neighborhood. It's peaceful and feels far away from everything, and yet it's just a short drive down to all the fun and adventure of the North Shore. We loved being up on the North Shore, away from the crowds and chaos of Waikiki. We walked or ran in the neighborhood everyday, enjoying the beautiful homes and gardens. The house itself was exactly what we needed--comfortable, clean, and with every amenity. Mike and his sister Christine were really helpful and flexible, working with us to accommodate our schedule to the extent they were able. They responded to emails quickly and positively. We plan to return one day--hopefully very soon! Thanks so much for helping making our vacation such a dream.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Gail & Molly, Thank you so much for the great review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you are able to return to the peacefulness of Pupukea real soon! Mahalo, Christine

This is a perfect place to stay on the North Shore, especially for a couple. It is away from the hustle and bustle and is nice and quiet but less than 10 minutes away from the beach. The house is equipped with everything you need and is great for cooking and BBQing. If you are into birding the deck is a great spot! I would recommend this place to anyone - the price is a steal for the amenities.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you want to escape the crowds of Honolulu and get away from the commotion of the beach crowds, visit the Hideaway! Minutes away from some of the world's best surfing...days on the beach, nights up on the mountain above it all with only the birds and the wind to listen to at night. The place was cozy and well lit, and the two sliding glass doors were great for ventilation. Add to all this a barbeque and large deck, and you've got a steal of a deal! Thanks Michael for a great stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I traveled to Oahu in September and we all had a great time. The Hideaway is very private and peaceful. We enjoyed several BBQ's on the great deck (Mmmm grilled pineapple and teriyaki chicken is divine!) The North Shore is definitely the place to be if you want to experience a great time away from all the hustle and bustle. The Hideaway had everything we needed and it was wonderful to have a full kitchen. The grocery store and farmers market is right down the road and we saved so much money preparing our own delightful meals with local produce! We were able to see Hawaiian Green Sea turtles resting on a beach and eating seaweed, that was incredible experience and the beach was minutes from the house! The sunsets from Puu O Mahuka Heiau State Park right down the road from the Hideaway were stunning! This is an exceptional location it is so close to everything on the North Shore and it has all the comforts of home...We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I have been able to stay at the hideaway on two occasions. My first time there was in June, and next was in December. Both times we had an exceptional stay. The hideaway was immaculate appon arrival, and had all the comforts of home. I really enjoyed the privacy of the hideaway. We loved having our own kitchen, great deck for BBQing and a back yard with avocado, papaya and banana trees!! The property even backs up to a jungle reserve!! Talk about romantic!!! Anyway, the North Shore is where I like to go on Oahu. It has that old school Hawaii feel, and is very laid back. We got to do some hikes to the falls, jumped off the big rock at waimea bay and of course tons of surfing and snorkling! I would call the North Shore paradise.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
