  We had a group of 5 cyclist that came out to enjoy the Colorado roads. This cabin located just 5 miles out of town was perfect. All the comforts of home but the charm of a cabin. This cabin is super convenient to town with incredible dining options, yet its secluded location back off a rural road high up in the mountains adds to the ideal image of a Colorado get away. The owners were actually always nearby. Very charming, helpful and a pleasure to rent from. I highly recommend this cabin (except at the end of August...that way its open for me to come back:-)

  We visited the Sunshine Villa manor, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The location is excellent - only fifteen minutes away from Boulder - yet we felt like we were way out in the country. The house was clean, comfortable and beautiful, with many amenities. We loved the "artful" extras, which made it even more special. The kids loved the lofts, and the great deck for sleeping outside. The Hatlands are very friendly and very pleasant to work with. Thanks for a memorable vacation!

  As we entered the mud room there was an immediate sense of tension draining from our bodies which was gracefully replaced by inner peace. As we walked through the house, we were assaulted with tranquility that the Hatlands either effortlessly or with cunning delight transformed there home into an mountain oasis. My family’s one wish was that we could've stayed longer. Thank you Hatland family for making Boulder and our vacation one to remember. Special thanks to a young person and Prince.

  We just returned from celebrating our daughter's wedding, held in nearby Lyons.We shared this lovely home with family members, totalling 9-10 people depending on the day. Such a peaceful setting - the weather had just cooled off. Unfortunately, the rain prevented us from using the expansive upper deck with its beautiful view. However, the layout of the home and the large comfortable kitchen provided us the room we needed to host a family party of 20-25 people comfortably. The surroundings were perfect for hikers as well as those who just preferred to "hang" in the swing chairs and do nothing. Just minutes from the center of Boulder and a quick ride up the road to the fantastic Gold Hill Inn. A wonderful place to come "home" to after a day of sightseeing.

  We just returned from a week long stay at this property and it was wonderful. We were a group of 9 and the cabin accommodated everyone. It is a beautiful place, secluded from the crazy Boulder life, but close enough to get there when you want to. The porch and deck provide two great places to sit and relax. Thanks Steven, Mira and Kia for a great week!

  My husband, 2 daughters (11 & 9 yrs), dog and I had a wonderful 4 nights. The Hatland family has done a beautiful job redoing the house and it was a perfect escape for us. We were close enough to use the cabin as a jumping off point for day trips to Estes Park and Gold Hill, as well as easy access (10+ min) to Boulder for shopping, entertainment and supplies. Yet we were secluded enough to feel like we were the only ones on the mountain. The house, itself, was well-done, with much artistic attention to detail. And the temperpedic mattress in the master was fantastic! While we enjoyed the trampoline, sky chairs, and breakfast on the kitchen patio, we most loved the upper deck in the evening with it's beautiful view. Thank you, Mira, Stephen and Kaia for lending us your house! We would stay again and definitely recommend it to others.

  I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone considering a rental in Boulder. It is about 15 minutes outside of town but well worth the drive. I wish we could have stayed longer. The home is very clean and cozy and the kitchen was huge. The views of the mountains and the serenity of the site were just tremendous. I miss it already. Thanks!

  The sprinkler under the trampoline recommendation was an absolute hit with the kids! The location made for a great take off point for our adventures in Boulder, Rocky Mountains and beyond. It also gave us that private mountain ranch feeling to come home to. Our kids particularly liked the movies for the evenings before bed. The kids loved it here and the adults loved sitting outside in the sky chairs, supervising endless fun. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and fun. What a great combo! Sincerely, Paul

  We had an amazing time in the peace and serenity of this home on Sunshine Canyon. While the fire damage to the area is evident, the rebirth was inspiring. Thank you for sharing your home.
