We had an amazing two months stay at this quite property. We found the two bed, two bath apartment clean, maintained properly and well stocked with sheets, towels, kitchen items and cleaning supplies. The photo's posted were exactly how we found the apartment. The apartment is in the Bastille with a good assortment of restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. We were close to both the metro and bus lines. The owner was helpful with any questions we had about the general area, Paris or France. We would certainly stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend the property to family and friends

The property is perfectly located near the Metro with a short walk to Notre Dame. It is very easy to reach by train from the airport (only one metro change) Nearby supermarket, bakery, restaurants and a Saturday Market make self-catering very easy. David, our host was charming and most helpful on our arrival. Perfection was not expected for the rental charged but the unit was honestly presented. The second bedroom was rather tight and mechanical ventilation to the separate toilet would be an improvement as would the provision of a microwave oven,(could be suspended under the main bench) The kitchen utensils are those of a bachelor rather than a cook!(We did not use the piano!) We had a wonderful time in Paris and the amenity of the unit contributed largely to this. We would have no hesitation in staying at this apartment again and have recommended it to our friends.

Clean, cozy apartment as described. Location excellent for a "non-touristic" working neighborhood, with all amenities and shopping nearby (including a nice outdoor market by Bastille). David was very helpful in answering questions, helping us with our booking, and making sure we were comfortable for our stay. We rented this apartment particularly for its location in the 11th, as we have family that live there. However, would recommend this apartment for anyone seeking an apartment for a vacation or working stay in Paris. Very nice!

For my first time renting on VRBO I could not have had a better experience. The apartment was exactly as described, very clean, cute and comfortable....and actually quite large in comparison other Paris apartments I have seen. The 2 bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment and have their own bathrooms, which makes it an ideal situation if traveling with a group. The location was also ideal, close to major metro lines and steps from great food, yet safe and quiet in the evenings. The owner was more accommodating than even most hotels! He worked with our schedules both coming and going, and offered great advice about the neighborhood and city when we needed it. A perfect experience overall!

When you stay with David, your host will be a fellow "world traveler" who can swap war stories while he shows you around his beautifully and innovatively remodeled apartment. He's done all the work himself, so if you're a handyman the apartment itself could be a Parisian point of interest! Over a cup of tea, he'll give you a few tips on the neighborhood, most of which is slightly off the usual tourist route, allowing you to enjoy Paris with a bit more "privacy." The apartment is, if anything, nicer than the ad suggests, a real deal, located on a historic courtyard/passage across from a clothing wholesaler, with a private bench you can use to sit up and enoy the evening free of crowds. The dreaded "hypermarche" Carrefour is right down the block and serves as a great resource for those unfamilier with the location of local bakeries and wine shops or returning home at later hours than most locally owned businesses keep. A small boulangerie is directly across from the chain. At the Place de la Bastille there is an open air food market (as well as other markets) a few days a week for those who wish to cook at home. The Bastille metro is on the La Defense/ Vincennes line which whisks you straight to the heart of Paris in minutes and allows connections to virtually every other route. Another line goes straight to Place D'Italie. You will be across the river from the Latin Quarter and within easy walk of the Marais, Ile St. Louis and Pere Lachaise. The neighborhod itself contains many good cafes, bookstores and interesting walks which should give plenty of opportunities for exploration and relaxation away from the madding crowd. The southern edge of the city contains many excellent but neglected areas which are easily reached from here. You can begin or end your day in a comfortable, affordable place (both the neighborhod cafe and the apartment itself) but when it's time to head in for some shopping or museums, you'll be there before you know it. Go ahead and stay with this guy! He'll treat you right.
