We stayed here for our family vacation and we were very impressed. The place was very nice. We were across the street from the beach, which was a concern for us, but once we got there and figured we could leave our stuff on the beach all day long, there was no problem. The walk to the beach was nothing. Everything was convenient. Would definately recommend this place to anyone coming to Gulf Shores.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our family and some great friends of ours all stayed in this townhouse. The home was very clean and nice that made our stay relaxing. The beach is very close and clean with very little crowds. Just a couple of things that need replacing are some missing panels on the vertical blinds in the master bedroom and living room. The description listed a dvd player which it did not have. All those things minor and did not really effect our vacation. We recommend eating at Docs it was close and really good!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our family and our good friends stayed at Pleasure Isle Villas in June 2012. We had a wonderful experience. We have stayed in several VRBO places over the years. The townhome was clean and well equipped. The best features where the easy walk to the beach. It really is only 100 yards. You do have to cross the W. Beach Road, but the Pleasure Isle Boardwalk is easily accessible. Rent a beach cart and hauling your gear is no problem. The complex has a pool. Its not fancy, but it was clean and our kids loved taking a dip after dinner. It's only a short walk to Waves Convenience store (you pay for the convenience), an ice cream store, and S&S seafood mart. Order take out peel and eat them shrimp from S & S and enjoy at the condo-skip the long lines and save money and frustration. We used the charcoal grill 3 nights. The condo layout is great with plenty of closet storage. The condo has plenty of cookware, but not many dishes - plates, glasses, and bowls. We simply used paper plates and solo cups. The eating area is a minor frustation because you have to pull out the table from the wall to make room for everyone around the table and push it back for walk space later. Our recommendation is for the owners to remove the armoir and mount the flat screen tv to the wall making room for the table. All windows have the vertical blinds that we find frustrating. We always bring darkening sheets to block out the light so the kids will sleep in late in the morning. The upper deck has no furniture. But we loved it and had a great time and would stay again. If you have never been to Gulf Shores, go to Tacky Jacks (order the Tuna steak sandwich - its outstanding). If you choose to go to Lulu's in the summer, just be prepared to wait. Its a fun tourist trap with plenty to do while you wait 1 1/2 - 2 hours during the week and up to 3-4 hours on the weekend for the table. It's the experience not the food. The food is good, but you go for the experience.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

This unit is in a great location. Our family likes West Beach due to the "slower" feel, and the beach is not lined with all of the high rises. This house is across the street from the beach, just a short walk which was just fine with us. The negative features: The jetted tub didn't work, the bedroom furnishings and sofa are a bit dated, the upper deck didn't have any furniture for sitting, the kitchen wasn't well stocked (mixing bowls, grilling utensils, tea pitcher). The downstairs bedroom and the twin bedroom up stairs didn't have televisions. The positives: The upstairs small balcony has views of the beach. The granite counter tops, appliances (including washer and dryer), were great. There was storage on the parking level for the sandy beach items, the pool was never crowded, the neighbors were friendly, walking distance to an ice cream shop (which we frequented), a restaurant (West Beach Grille), and a general store (Waves). The kitchen table, and breakfast bar seating were nice. There was covered parking for two (large) vehicles. The owners were easy to work with and was quick to handle any questions/concerns. For the price, this is an EXCELLENT value!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+.

This was the perfect place for our family. Everything was just like the listing protrayed. The condo was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. It was not beach front but it was only a short couple minutes walk across the road. It was close to shopping, restaurants, and many attractions. The beaches were not crowded at all, at times there were only 4 or 5 other people on the beach where we were. The owners, or the person I dealt with was very helpful and nice. We are planning to book again for next year and maybe on over in the fall this year. Thanks for a wonderful time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was our first experience with VRBO and it was wonderful. We stayed the week of July 2-9th. The condo was just across the street from the gulf with its own private walk access. The unit was clean and well maintained. The bedrooms were spacious and the floor plan well thoughtout. The owner was very prompt in all emails. We have already scheduled to stay again in the same unit, and we have already recommended a friend to use the VRBO service. Thanks for a great family vacation!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The place was nice, I wouldn't say great. The last night we stayed the washer or dryer wouldn't work right, the jacuzzi tub didn't work at all, the sliding glass doors didn't lock and it wasn't cleaned as well as my sister or I thought it should be. Had problems with booking also, was told certain dates were available and that I was booked for those dates and then received a phone call stating a mistake had been made and if I still wanted the Duplex I had to be in Gulf Shores the next day and could only stay for 3 nights not the 4 that I had requested. However, the owner is super nice, and after talking to him he did make amends.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My family and I recently stayed for a week in this property. We were pleasantly suprised when we arrived. The pictures do not due it justice and it is larger than it appears. The property was up to date and comfortable and nicely equiped. The beach was close just a walk across the street. We were also very close to shoping and attractions. The area and other renters were quite and courteous and we didn't have any problems with noise. The covered parking for two cars was a nice bonus. For the money you cant beat this, property management was extrememly helpful and nice to work with. We would definatly stay in this property again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We were in Gulf Shores the month of February. Great location. We enjoyed the private access to the sugar-sand beach. The pool was nice, but too cool to make use of it. The villa was freshly painted since the photos were taken. It was very clean and the kitchen very well equipped. Comfortable beds. We appreciated the newly-installed WiFi. The owners were very helpful. There were not a lot of extra fees. We would come back again.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We went for a mid-week visit. Condo was VERY nice; had a very home-like feel to it. It is not beach-front but it is jut a simple trip across the road to get to the beaches. Also found beaches to be much less crowded than those in Florida. We had a GREAT time. Can't wait to go again next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/7
