Why the Owner Chose Asheville
We chose Asheville to call home, and moved our family and our business down here in 1998. This is such an amazing location. We get all 4 seasons, but Spring and Fall are the most intense, which is just spectacular! Fairview, and the Falls at Edenderry afford quiet & privacy, the feel of living in the country, while only being 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. This is simply a great place to live, and a super place to visit.
The Unique Benefits at this Country House / Chateau
This house exudes warmth and relaxation. The minute you drive into The Falls at Edenderry you feel the connection with nature, and the serenity related to all the water & trees. Walking into the timber frame, the warmth and welcome of the home overtakes you. The house is simply huge, affording plenty of privacy, while also promoting a sense of gathering, and sharing amongst friends and family. The home opens up to allow the sounds of the waterfall to cascade throughout, creating a calm and serene atmosphere.
The Biltmore Estate is Asheville's #1 tourist destination. See website for tickets and information: http://www.biltmore.com/

Owner's Map of Asheville
We built this home to house our family and friends as life presented itself. It has at different times housed, 3 generations of our family, 2 sets of friends at the same time, an aunt, an uncle, 2 sets of grandparents, and many other friends and family sporadically! :-)
We have a stone plaque that hangs outside the door that reads; "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." This home was built to provide welcome and hospitality to all. We now hope that will hold true for many others as we open up this wonderful place for travelers from near and far visiting beautiful Asheville.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as described and the owners were very helful. Upon arriving we were pleased to see Christmas decorations. We didn't expect that at all. I was most impressed with the kitchen, it is nice for a house that sleeps so many to have enough dishes and silverware for everyone to use. We were a group of 15 and cooked all our meals except for the 1st night where we took the owners suggestion of the pizza place across form the Ingles. (very good pizza!) The property was clean and there was even firewood. We all agreed we would definately recommend this place to anyone who has a large group. We may even revisit during another season some time. Good times!

We had a group of 15 or so stay in the home - all extended family. It's a lovely house, equipped with everything you may need - toys for kids of all ages, games, many movies, and plenty of cookware and kitchen tools! Also, the home is situated in a beautiful area - we were able to go for runs and long walks, while also not being too far from shopping, entertainment and grocery stores. I highly, highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful, and the house was just perfect.

Our stay at Pine Hollow was made special by the owners as they did all they could to accommodate our wishes for the holidays. We enjoyed the great room and gathered around the wonderful stone fireplace numerous times to talk and read and enjoy family. The kitchen had just about everything you could want. The bedrooms were simply done with warm and soft bedding. There were also plenty of bathrooms. The location was beautiful. Everything into consideration we would easily say it was a perfect and super get away with all amenities right at our finger tips. There are great places to eat in Asheville, the Biltmore house tour was spectacular and the Gingerbread competition at the Grove Park in was wonderful. We loved our stay.

Bringing our family together for a week in the summer has been a tradition for the past 9 years. Without a doubt, our stay at Pine Hollow was the best to date. The owners were extremely helpful in answering my long list "interview" questions regarding the property and it's amenities. The house was even nicer than the pictures revealed and it was obvious the homeowners took pride in the presentation. The 8 children LOVED the swimming hole and had lots of fun jumping of the dock. It was amazing how much space the house offered - plenty of places to gather as well as spots to have some alone time. Cooking nightly meals was a delight in the well arranged kitchen and the spacious laundry room allowed us gals to gather and chat. I already miss my morning coffee on the deck with lovely vistas. We enjoyed the nearby Botanical gardens and of course the Biltmore Estates is a must see. Our crew of 18 have wonderful new memories and we're thankful to have found such a welcoming home.

Pine Hollow was a wonderful, beautiful mountain house! It's tucked away in the wilderness, but also close to Asheville, which was just what we were looking for. The house is HUGE and there's tons of privacy since the rooms and bathrooms are all so spread out. The homeowners are extremely helpful and worked with our timeline for checkin and checkout, and offered lots of recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. I highly recommend!

I loved Pine Hollow. I would recommend this house to anyone. The house is furnished with everything but your toothbrush. The views are beautiful. The owner was very gracious and made every effort to make our group welcome. I have traveled all over the U.S. and Europe this past year and this house is 5 star.

This house is amazing right down to the heated floor in one of the bathrooms upstairs. Lots of room, location is breathtakingly beautiful and the kitchen is a chefs dream. The entertainment room is huge and you could roast marshmallows over the firepit on the back deck. Very nice get away from the hustle and bustle. Great get away for our women's retreat. Loved the fireplace with all its rocks. Just a beautiful house with all the amenities. Thanks Steve for treating us so well....even if we had a Goldielocks in the group ha ha.
