The cottage is part of a wine producing chateau and is surrounded by the vineyard. It has panoramic views of the Chateau d'Ansouis and the Luberon Hills. Ansouis is one of the most beautiful villages of France. There are many other scenic villages close by with hilltop castles and atmospheric provencal markets. The area is well served by first class restaurants and there are many stunning hikes or walks to work up a good appetite. It is 25 minutes to Aix en Provence and 50 minutes to Avignon.
This two bedroom cottage features a fully-equipped kitchen, a sitting room, and shower room with a washer dryer. It was fully refurbished in 2005.There is a private terrace for dining outside, equipped with a barbeque, with fabulous views over the vineyard and hills.
Guests have use of the owner's heated swimming pool,and the private tennis court on the property.
The Chateau is well placed to be a base for the summer festivals for Opera in Aix, Theatre in Avignon and Piano in Roque d'Antheron. It is also a good base for exploring the Roman cities of Arles, Nimes and Orange, the Pont du Gard and the scenic beauty of the Gorge du Verdon, the Camargue and the coast around Marseille. |
