Beautiful Rental Home on Lake Wawasee

This home is so close to the water of Lake Wawasee, that when you are sitting inside the living room and dining at the table, you will feel as if you are on the water. There are plenty of large windows in this home to give you the full appreciation of being this close.
This stone and siding home built in the 1930's will give you a nostalgic feel, as if you're visiting grandmother’s lakefront home. It has the best of both old and new as there is central air, a security system, and new constant pressure well (so you have plenty of water for all the showers to be used simultaneously).
This home has a lake cottage aura about it, as it has a nautical decor. Four of the bedrooms have antique furnishings that further give this home a feeling of nostalgia. There is also a child or teen room with two bunk beds. Everything is furnished in this home -- towels, washcloths, sheets and a completely ready-to-go kitchen, including a microwave, coffee-machine, toaster, pots and pans, silverware, and dishes. Grill outside your kitchen door in a picket-fenced flowered garden with a beautiful view of the lake.
Walk out the front door, take a few steps and you are on the new 100 foot long pier. There is plenty of sitting room to bask in the sun on the lounge area of the dock located 60 feet from the shore on the lake. Dive off the dock and swim 50 feet beyond to the diving and swim platform. In the morning, sit on the wicker furniture located on the seawall patio, drinking your coffee, and watching the morning waves of the water. A picnic table is placed on the patio of the seawall for direct lakeside dining. Take an afternoon nap on the hammock underneath the large oak trees, inches away from the water. Explore Lake Wawasee with a new 24 foot Sylvan Pontoon boat available for your use(a separate rental usage). Kayaks are also available for rental.

My family rented this house in June and it was great. The house slept 10 people with lots of space for 3 or 4 more. The house had everything we needed and we are really glad we chose it this years because I highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My husband, 6 children and 6 grandchildren had a great week staying in this nicely decorated and homey cottage! We loved the location, sandy beach for the kids, and lots of fun in the lake floating and talking. It brought back wonderful memories vacationing with my parents on the lake! The bunkbeds were an addes suprise! Thanks for the memories made!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My 4 sisters (ages 48-66) and I have a reunion every other year and this year decided to each invite a friend. This was the perfect place! All of us had clean, comfortable beds & plenty of shower access. We took turns cooking in the well equipped kitchen and on the grill. There was lots of laughter around the spacious dining table. The living room had room for us (and everyone's computers/ipads) to hang out. The pontoon afforded a shady lakeside "living room" as well as relaxing sightseeing trips around the lake. The location made trips to Essenhaus, Shipshewana's Blue Gate Theater, North Webster's Pilcher's Shoes & Rosie's Restaurant in Cromwell convenient. The owners have created a wonderful lake home & all of us recommend it without hesitation. Hope we'll get to be repeat customers!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our group of 13 (5 adults and 8 kids) rented the house and the boat over Memorial Weekend, and had a wonderful time, even though the weather did not co-operate as much as we would have liked it too. The house was very nice and there was plenty of sleeping room. The 3 1/2 bathrooms was a plus with such a big group. The lake is one of the prettiest we've seen. We had a few minor issues due to renting early in the season (the diving dock was not placed in the water yet) but both Bob and Ruth were very accomodating and offered us an additional day rental for the boat...which made all of the kids happy. Thank you both for offering your house up to our group...and for your generousity with the boat. We had a wonderful time and would recommend your property to all.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
