Our family loved the stay at Delfin Feliz

My wife and I, along with our 3 children (ages 12, 15 & 16) stayed at the house during the month of November. From the pictures, we had an idea of the place. When we arrived, however, it was much more incredible. Plenty of space, fronting the ocean and sandy beach, a quiet neighborhood, excellent hospitality, a tranquil and secure setting. The boys rented boogie boards and used them daily. They also went into Montanita for surf lessons (look up Isidro at the Balsa Surf Camp). Daily walks on the beach; exploring the tide pools. We also took a trip to nearby Isla de la Plata. Another excursion was the Thermal baths at San Vicente. Met a lot of friendly people in town. We enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving at the beach-house. Aside from a turkey we found in nearby Salinas, we had Ecuatoriano food as well (shrimp & a few lobsters we found). Invited several of our new friends from Montanita. It was an excellent way to celebrate the American holiday in such a unique setting! Francisco & Nery, the helpers have been very accommodating, hard-working and friendly during our stay. All worked out well with the house. We highly recommend this property to prospective renters. Not only is it unique, but very economical for the comparables. We researched several properties on the internet and found the Delfin Feliz to be a solid notch above. Thanks again for the hospitality, Kim Anh. We hope to return someday. J. & C.W.

Yo soy originimante de Ecuador, Quito pero radico en Nueva York desde mi ninez. No habia regresado a Ecuador hace siete anios y decidi pasar mis vacaciones con mi esposo y tres hijos en Ecuador. Como nos encanta la playa decidimos rentar una casa al pie de el mar. Fue la decision mas inteligente que tuvimos. Esta casa al pie de el mar es una joya. Muy acojedora, limpia, comoda y moderna. Las fotos no le hacen justicia. Las familia que cuida la casa son tan amables dispuestos a todo para hacer nuestra estadia muy comoda. Pasamos los mejores dias de nuestras vacaciones en esta casa. Sabemos con seguridad que regresaremos en el futuro. Ahora tengo una razon para regresaar mas seguido a Ecuador.

Hermos acudido por tres anos consecutivos a la casa de la Playa en Las Nunes. Es un lugar comodo, confortable,amplio,limpio y seguro. Vamos en Diciembre con toda la familia (18personas), que incluye personas desde 7 meses de edad hasta 76 anos. Hay espacio para todos y se puede convivir con toda tranquilidad. La casa esta bien provista con implementos de cocina y comodidad en las habitaciones y tiene un buen servicio de limpieza. El pueblo esta cerca lo que permite abastecerse de todo to necesario y tiene muchas distracciones, restaurantes y artesanias para todas las edades. El mar en la puerta misma es un lujo y la playa ancha y segura son un lugar ideal para vacacionar. Nos gusta tanto que este ano regresaremos nuevamente. We have been attending for three consecutive years to the house in Las Nunes beach. It is a place that is reasonable,comfortable,big,clean and safe. We go in December with all the family(18 people),that includes people from 7 months old until 76 years old. There is room for everyone and we can live very peacefully. The house is well provided with kitchen utensils and comfort in the bedrooms and they have a good cleaning service. The town is close which allows you to stock with all the necessary and it has a lot of attractions,restaurants and flea markets for all ages. The ocean right at your door is a luxury and the beach is wide and safe, they are the ideal place for a vacation. We like it so much that we are coming back this year.

This is a great place if you are looking for a wonderful relaxing vacation spot located near a fun town with lots to do. I was part of a group of students that stayed here during the carnaval weekend. The house has tons of space for many places to sleep and have their own area, as well as being very affordable for students. The location on the beach is beautiful, also it is very private compared to the more crowded public or resort beaches. The owner was also very easy to work with, responded promptly, and accomodating to our situation. One of the best parts of our visit were the wonderful house keepers that take care of the property and whatever you might need during your stay. They kept the house clean throughout the visit and always had smiles on their faces. They will even cook meals for a small additional fee. There is also lots to do in Montinita. There is a bus to town or you can call a taxi, each ride will cost between 3 and 5 dollars. Throught the day the town is full of restaurants and intersting shops and stands to wonder through. I would reccomend trying some delicous seafood. There are also lots of places to rent surfboards other adventure shops. There are also plenty of fun clubs in town, especially during carnaval. The whole group had an amazing time and I hope we will be able to return in the future. I would definitely reccomend looking into this house for a vacation.

Beautiful beachfront home

My husband and I spent two weeks at this terrific beach house. The beach is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The beach is wide and the sand is clean. Only a handful of people walking by over the course of a day. You can walk out far into the ocean and still be only waist high in water. The house is wonderful, with a perfect location on the best part of the beach. It has splendid, unobstructed views of the ocean. There is a huge patio with hammocks.There is a kitchen, so you can make yourself at home. There is a wonderful couple who live on site. Although they don't speak English, they are extremely helpful. They keep the house spotlessly clean and are always available to help. There is a wonderful lawn and yard, too, where you can put out the lawn chairs if you don't want to sit on the beach. The owners of the property are just wonderful. I cannot express how helpful they are and how many tips we received for a wonderful vacation. The description of the house in the ad is completely accurate. I don't think the pictures do the property justice. The surrounding area is simply gorgeous. You could definitely spend your entire vacation at the house. But the fun town of Montanita is only a short cab ride away. We rented a car and that was perfect for us. Montanito has many great restaurants, such as Holaola and it is always busy. It also has a bank with an ATM, hairdresser, clothing shops and is perfect for food shopping. There are many activities close by: organized tours, horseback riding, ATV's. One of the great things about this stretch of beach is that it across the street begins very green jungle growth which is fun to explore. This house is perfect for getting to know the Ecuadorian people, as it is between several little pueblos. Try the beach in Olon to eat with the locals at one of the many cabanas. I highly recommend this property to anyone for a wonderful vacation.

Amazing Vacation

Mom, I wanted to thank you and Bruce for giving myself and Dustin the chance to experience Ecuador. I promised you I would go to this country with an open mind and an open heart. During my 8 days in Ecuador I really fell in love with the people of Ecuador as a whole. They were gentle and kind, the men were family oriented and hard working and the women took care of the households and little children. We are truly blessed to live in America, but I do have a great appreciation for the people in not just Ecuador but South America. Never did I feel threatened whether I was crossing a back alley way at night or walking the beach at night. I saw 4 year olds roaming around by themselves on empty streets and the police just smiled and waved. I went to the town of La Entrada and passed out small change to the children visited the church there and in Olong, and Montanita. It is important not to stereotype people until you experience them for yourself. I made a lot of amigos "friends" who i will remember for a long time and I hope to stay in contact and visit them once again. I did give Francisco and Najev $50.00 upon my departure. They deserved it even though they dont understand the hardships in the United States; I can only hope they will be good to you and protect you and Bruce with their lives as you both get older with age. Once again I thank you for the opportunity to visit Ecuador and I happy you both truly love your new home.

A Great Time at El Delfin!

We have stayed at El Delfin Feliz for two straight years now and have thoroughly enjoyed each occasion. The property is located on a prime, quite stretch of beach just north of Montanita, which is less than an 8 minute drive down the road. The house is big and open and can easily accommodate a large group of people. The local caretakers of the property, Francisco and Nari, live in a small house next door and are always available to help the guests. Hang in the hammocks on the veranda at sunset, sleep to the sound of ocean waves at night, and stroll the endless beach just outside your back door. El Delfin Feliz is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Ecuador's central coast. Ryan Michigan, USA
