  This was a trip of a lifetime. I was lucky to experience it with 5 of my friends and I can truly say it was a once in a lifetime experience. The location (right on the beach), service, and accommodations were excellent. It was truly mind blowing to be able to wake up on a private balcony and over look the beach every morning. The architecture of the house was by far the best on the beach, the stone work and attention to detail was very impressive. We spent most of our days in the veranda room, the Vatican designed floors and comfy hammocks made it not only relaxing but I felt truly at home. The kitchen and bathroom renovations were superb, I could tell they took time and paid attention to detail which I appreciate as a traveler. The double balcony's made the house stand out on this beach above all others. The staff took care of us like we were their own family and I will always remember Francisco and Nari. It was truly an experience to be able to receive fresh seafood delivered every morning to us from fisherman. On many days it was hard to leave the house and go into town because the house was so comfortable and relaxing. I came to relax and unwind and this will be my go to spot. I look forward to coming back again and visiting this lovely house. I appreciate the kindness and honesty of the owners and truly grateful for this lifetime experience.

  Well to start, I have never been in a "3rd" world country before, so even with such nice accommodations I have to say I was nervous before I left. BUT could I have been more wrong, the flight from DC to Ecuador was so smooth, total travel time was 9 hours. The driver who picked us up was very friendly and could speak great English, she also took us to the store to buy items such as snacks, soda, beer, basically anything packaged was good to buy. All food like meat and veggies and water could be bought cheap at local villages for a very small price, the BEST seafood I have ever had! Not to mention that we had shark, lobsters, crabs, fish, and squid brought to our house from people off the beach, they were friendly and gave us good prices. Speaking of money, for eating like a king all week I only brought 500$ cash and it was plenty. The bus that runs near the house was cheap and clean and took us to the local villages and the "party" town of Montonita. I am a dental student and this was exactly what I needed to "de-stress". We brought down dental supplies for the local children and they were all wonderful. Also people DON'T beg for money, like I have seen in Mexico. I traveled with 5 of my friends and had a blast. Some days we did not leave the house and just laid in the sun, and ate crab all day. Other days we went to Montonita to party with the locals. I can not wait to go back. Lastly, the people who work at the house are so nice and helpful, and their children are cute as can be, a wonderful family indeed.

  From the day we arrived to the day we departed, I was not met with anything but a relaxing atmosphere. The house and staff were both phenomenal, the weather was beautiful, and the locals were more than friendly. The owners went out of their way to ensure a successful trip, and it fell nothing short of that. The hospitable environment created by the staff made it feel like a home away from home. I strongly reccomend this rental property.

  My 5 friends and I stayed at this lovely beachfront villa for 7 days for our spring break. From the moment we drove past the gate into the driveway we were meeted with smiles and open arms from the helpers Francisco and his wife. Any request throughout the week they went above and beyond to accommodate us from calling taxis (which were 3-4$ to town) to cooking us food that was brought to us off the beach. Throughout the week the helpers cooked dishes from Mahi Mahi, Lobsters, Shrimp, Calamari, Crab, and Shark on our final night. Bus rides into town were 50 cents each way into town making this Villa even more convenient for our group of friends with a relatively low budget. Each of the views from the bedrooms were absolutely stunning and the breeze during the evenings while laying in hammocks on the Veranda truly made this a paradise for all of us. As our group explored about 2 miles each way on the beach, this Beachfront Villa's architecture was quite different than any other home on the beach. A once in a lifetime experience I hope that we can visit again in the future.

  A reviewer in an earlier post mentioned that as wonderful as the photos are, the owner's home at Las Nunez is even more spectacular. The house was perfect for our group of friends, and Francisco and Nari (the caretakers) did a wonderful job of keeping the home clean and comfortable. We appreciated the owner's communication and tips for getting around in Las Nunez and Montanita, as well. The porch facing the ocean became our central gathering place where we spent much of our time when we were not out sightseeing. Francisco and Nari prepared a wonderful meal for us from fish we brought home from a fishing trip. As the description indicates, vendors selling fish and shrimp came by every morning, and we bought fantastic fresh shrimp several days during our stay. We found a nice restaurant walking distance up the beach, as well. One morning, we watched the local community gather to help with the catch, and learned much about the local fishery from them. The owner also provided us with a contact who helped us navigate from Guayaquil to the house and then return to the airport when we had to leave. Our group very much enjoyed our stay at this house in Las Nunez and recommend it to everyone.

  This was a wonderful vacation for us (a family of 5). The house was perfectly located directly on the beach. We saw very few people walk by so it was very private. The house is huge so everyone had space of their own. The helpers were friendly and watched over everything so that we felt safe. The bedroom renovations were well done and very beautiful. As we were told, the bathrooms and the kitchen are in need of updating, but we ate most of our meals in Montanita so it worked out. The furnishings in the living areas were of a lesser quality and not particularly comfortable. However, we loved the two hammocks on the back porch and spent most of our time there. We loved being so close to Montanita. The public bus system worked out very well for us. We would catch the bus right at the end of the driveway and then take a taxi home in the evening. We took a picture of the distinctive house sign using our iPhone and showed the picture to the taxi drivers and they knew right where to take us. As Mrs. Whiting had warned, I do not recommend letting children in the water, especially at Montanita, unless they are just playing at the edge of the water. We did not fully realize how dangerous it could be because it doesn't look much different from what we are used to. Please be very careful with your children! Overall, we would recommend this home. It was a very good value and Mrs. Whiting is extremely helpful and honest. We enjoyed getting to know her very much and that really added to the experience for us. The Longmires

We're grateful for your review of our home and the areas. Being new to Ecuador, we're still learning about where to go get things, like some custom cushions for the furniture. Our kitchen is good by Ecuadorean standards, but for Americans it's not quite up to their higher standards. We made the decision to move to Ecuador for less material things, so we'll be rich instead in nature's beauty, and getting to know other cultures. Montanita is a famous surfing town of course, and we have hosted many professional surfing groups at our home. But there are times even the professionals have to be careful with the surf at Montanita. For you average swimmer, it's probably safer to start out right in front of our home. Entertainment, music and so many kinds of restaurants can be easily reached by taking the bus to Montanita right in front of our home for 40cents, and it's aslo about a 10 minutes ride. It's interesting to ride the bus, take in the local culture, and mingle with all the international people on the bus. So with all of that going on, who wants to stay at home to cook?   I have yet to stay at Paradise, but would like to offer a review thus far. I have been dealing with Kim for several weeks on the planning of my family vacation. My husband is originally from Ecuador and we have a 2nd home, outside the states, in Quito. Kim has spent the time to send and answer numerous emails from me as well as speaking on the phone with me. She has gone above and beyond my expectations to make sure that my family will be comfortable, know what to expect and have a safe and exciting journey in Montanita.   Five of us - a couple and three friends - came for a week and had a wonderful time. Beautiful unending beach and gentle but lively ocean, just beyond a beautiful yard, just beyond a delightful shaded veranda. The house is Kim Anh's work in progress (as she made sure we understood from the start) with four beachfront bedrooms sparkling and fresh, while the kitchen and some bathrooms are yet to be transformed (and needing it). It isn't a glamorous palace, although the refinished bedrooms belong in one, but its extremely comfortable, visitor friendly and all the room you could want for a dozen guests.

  We stayed a week at this beachfront home and it was wonderful. The stone renovation is exquisite, and the house itself is large, spotless, and very comfortable. It was just my boyfriend and I that stayed here, and as big as the house is, we felt right at home. The beach is really one of the best we have seen in the world. At most we would see maybe up to seven people a day walking along the beach, usually around the sunset time, but otherwise it is completely empty. It is great for long walks and plenty of activities like surfing and riding bikes. The location of this house is perfect because it is far enough from all the noise of Montanita, so you truly feel like your in peaceful paradise, but close enough to go in and out of town all day long if you wish. There are buses and taxis that can be taken, so no worries about getting there (only a 10 minute drive). The helpers living on site, Francisco and Nery are really wonderful people. We don't speak any spanish but were able to communicate just fine. They do a great job at keeping the house and grounds clean and tidy, and provide basic services such as making the bed and washing the towels. The owners of this house are very helpful and will do anything to ensure you have a wonderful time. This is a very special place and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a rental house in the area. We hope to come back again soon! Personal suggestions: In Montanita, eat at Tierra Verde(Ecuadorian food, fresh seafood, the best restaurant), Sushi & Thai (located across from Hola Ola, the best sushi), Tiki Limbo for breakfast. Also, take the bus or drive down to Las Tunas, you have to turn left at the house and its about 20 minutes away, and eat at Restaurant Jimmy which is at the beach and there are signs pointing to it. You wont be disappointed. To rent surfboards, go to LocalesPro in Montanita, formerly known as Balsa Surf Camp. Isidro (the owner) is a fantastic surfer and has a great personality. You won't be disappointed.

  My wife and I, along with our 3 children (ages 12, 15 & 16) stayed at the house during the month of November. From the pictures, we had an idea of the place. When we arrived, however, it was much more incredible. Plenty of space, fronting the ocean and sandy beach, a quiet neighborhood, excellent hospitality, a tranquil and secure setting. The boys rented boogie boards and used them daily. They also went into Montanita for surf lessons (look up Isidro at the Balsa Surf Camp). Daily walks on the beach; exploring the tide pools. We also took a trip to nearby Isla de la Plata. Another excursion was the Thermal baths at San Vicente. Met a lot of friendly people in town. We enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving at the beach-house. Aside from a turkey we found in nearby Salinas, we had Ecuatoriano food as well (shrimp & a few lobsters we found). Invited several of our new friends from Montanita. It was an excellent way to celebrate the American holiday in such a unique setting! Francisco & Nery, the helpers have been very accommodating, hard-working and friendly during our stay. All worked out well with the house. We highly recommend this property to prospective renters. Not only is it unique, but very economical for the comparables. We researched several properties on the internet and found the Delfin Feliz to be a solid notch above. Thanks again for the hospitality, Kim Anh. We hope to return someday. J. & C.W.
