Well come on in! Take your shoes off, pour a drink, step out onto the porch and let it all go. You've arrived at Therapy Island.
Peters Pond is known for its beauty, its fishing, and its family life style. Come on down, take a dip. I doubt you've been in cleaner water. The cottage is located in a private neighborhood. Most of us grew up together so it's a friendly atmosphere. The speed limit is 10 miles an hour so let the kids run and play. There's a play ground and grove.
The beach is spectacular. Extremely clean and gorgeous. There are pine trees on the upper part so if one person loves the shade, the other can lay in the sun just a few feet away. Perfect! There is also a child's raft in the shallows and an adult raft further out. The swimming area is roped in.
This three season cottage is perfect for almost anyone (unless you want froo froo shee shee - this is not your place). It's adorably decorated, clean, comfortably outfitted, and is in an outstanding location.
For you lovers out there, this is the type of cottage you think of when you think to yourself, "We should just get away together." Yes. It's what you've been picturing.
It's open ceilings, knotty pine walls, and charming decor make sure you enjoy your stay. There's a gas grill and ample outdoor seating available. The kitchen is outfitted to the max. We have things in there we don't know how to use!
It has all of the necessities and a uniqueness that can't be beat.
It's located on up on a private hill with only one other cottage (our Cousins place is next door- our grandfathers built both cottages together). As you sit on the screened in porch (a queen bed on one end and a single on the other so you can hear the crickets, see the fireflies, and watch the stars when you drift off) you will be looking out into the tree tops and down onto the pond. There is a large table for dinning, a love seat, a couple of big chairs, and the two single beds. This is where you'll probably end up most of the time. And if you're lucky enough to have a rain spell.. you've never heard it fall so beautifully than on this porch.
The living room is very cozy with a fake wood stove (it looks real, but no mess and you can have a cozy fire when it's 80 degrees! Who knew?!). Plenty of seating for everyone, a TON of movies to choose from, a zillion books on the porch "library". Look above the windows:) Take them when you leave if you haven't finished them! We have more.
All of the beds are comfy and have linens. Plenty of blankets for those chilly nights and a ton of beach towels too!
The shower is outdoors. Bring your Henna Shampoo:) Don't worry! It's private and it has a door vs. a curtain. Listen, this cottage is women owned and operated. We've got it covered!
If you come once you won't want to leave and you'll be back.

We picked this house originally because it was only a mile and a half from my Aunt's house and thought it would be good for a family reunion and it was by the water. Ended up being the perfect place to host our picnic and family and we loved the neighbors on the hill were are relatives of our owners. Great time, relaxing and fun. We especially loved hanging on the porch feeling the breeze. The kids loved sleeping out there too. I even have to say the outdoor shower was refreshing. I would definitely go back! Especially during that time because the weather was so great. We got back to Nashville and after one day missed hanging out on the cape!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I brought my two teenage daughters and four year old boy, as well as our dogs, and we had a fantastic time. The cottage is very cozy, neighbors were great, and the pond was fantastic! The owners were great and very down to earth. And we all loved the outdoor shower. I want one!! We visited other beaches, Zooquarium, and The Childrens Mueseum. All my kids had a ball. We were close to everything, yet far away to just relax. We will definitely be back.....Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This cottage is has a wonderful location and is a short drive away to the Martha's Vineyard ferries in Hyannis, the gorgeous Woods Hole and the laid back historic village of Falmouth. It is a quiet location, even though there are many cottages surrounding this one, everyone is polite and respectful to their neighbours. The private beach for the cottages is clean and well maintained...the kids can have hours of fun in the pond or take a short drive to Falmouth and enjoy the beach. The people who own this cottage make you feel right at home...we really did feel at home, it is a fantastic place to unwind. Our dog loved it too and loved the opportunity to swim in the pond before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. with us. Enjoy the outdoor shower - don't worry its very private and it is so refreshing to shower outdoors. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

Perfect for the family or a girls get away this cottage puts the "relax" in relaxation! Nothing like letting the kids roam free and feel independant while you have quality time on the hill or the beach. And the people in this community?! Forget about it! You won't find a more friendly, welcoming bunch. And the lobster trap coffee table? AWESOME touch. I think it's even a REAL lobster trap!;-)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
