We go to HHI a lot and always stay at an ocean view condo. This year we decided on short notice to take my 17 year daughter and a few of her friends. After searching we found the Ocean Gate Villas. We were a little concerned that not having an ocean view would be a disappointment. What a great place. Just outside the Sea Pines ocean gate, you are a short walk down a tree covered path to the beach. The villa layout was great for sleeping as well as good conversation. The pool was jsut off then patio. The girls enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the evening after a long day at the beach. The beach was not crowded where the path comes out. Although there was a lot going on a hundred yards up the beach so you could have it either way. We were very impressed with the villa and the location.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
