Bridgewater is an oceanfront condo building located within the 24 hour security patrolled gated community of Litchfield by the Sea. There are miles of biking and walking paths, lakeside fishing, and close proximity to many golf courses, three of which are part of Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort. We are also proud to announce the completion of a $5 MILLION dollar resort grounds renovation to make your vacation at Litchfield even more fun and relaxing. The renovation includes a new Resort Entrance and Security house. We have also added newly paved roads and sidewalks for walking and jogging. A brand new Beach House has taken form on the ocean front with showers, sun deck and beach access. Of course, you still have your own private access to the beach from oceanfront Bridgewater building and in the summer months, canvas chairs and umbrellas are available for rent at the beach. A new gazebo at the largest lake in the resort along with a new fishing dock and boardwalk area along the lakeside. A canoe launch has now been added for those of you that would like to canoe in the canal that leads out to the Atlantic Ocean. The landscape has also taken a new look with the replacement of thousands of shrubs, trees and flowers. There are several new large water fountains that have been added to the resort. One of those being out front of our building at Bridgewater.
Our condo has a fabulous ocean view, overlooking the oceanfront pool, hot tub and lazy river. You have a wide open view of the Atlantic Ocean. Our condo was newly renovated in 2010, including new mattresses, carpet, tile, paint, cabinets and granite in the kitchen and bath. New flat screen HD TVs in living room and bedroom. The onsite laundry room for the Bridgewater building is conveniently located on the same floor, about 6 condos away.

If you need more entertainment, you are 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach, or 15 minutes north of historic Georgetown. You are 5 minutes away from the 'Seafood capital of SC', Murrell's Inlet. Litchfield Beach is very family oriented. Huntington State Park and Brookgreen Gardens are within a 3 minute drive. You are surrounded by several top-rated golf courses.

My wife and I had a fantastic time with our 4 year old at this property. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions that I had before our arrival. The condo was clean and well represented through the photos posted. For a small family this rental does the trick. I would not hesitate to rent this property again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a WONDERFUL stay at this condo last week. It exceeded our expectations and the owner was a pleasure to work with. We had no issues the entire time. The condo was very clean and updated and has a great view and beach access. All the staff was extremely nice as well. I highly recommend! This was our first visit to Litchfield By The Sea and we will definately be returning to the resort in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This rental went well from our initial contact with the owner to a final contact with him upon our return. We had no trouble entering the gated community and found the condo without a problem and it was just as advertised. A beautiful view of the beach and ocean along with a great outdoor pool for a morning swim after a walk on the beach. In my opinion the Litchfield Beach is the best beach in either of the two Carolinas. The excellent weather we had makes a great place to visit. Brookgreen Gardens and Georgetown, SC are both short drives for visits. Simply stated, we had a great visit.Recommended for: Age 55+.

We rented this condo to attend a wedding and could not have been happier with our experience. The unit was very clean, neat and nicely furnished. I took my mother-in-law with us and put her in the Murphy bed. She loved it. Everything worked perfectly and there were very nice linens and towels. The mattresses were excellent. The view was outstanding overlooking the pool and ocean. Also the grounds were immaculate! Dave is wonderful to work with and very responsive to all my emails and phone calls. I would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this place for a quick weekend getaway and it worked out perfectly for us. There was just 2 of us. So, it easily fit our needs. There was a beautiful view of the ocean and pool area. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. The owner (Dave) was great to deal with and very responsive to all my emails.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

I stayed at this Litchfield Beach condo for one week and LOVED it!!! It was very nice, conveniently located, comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the ocean....I had my morning coffee every morning watching the beautiful sunrise! The balcony also overlooked the hot tub, pool, and lazy river that guests were enjoying even in October! The Moorefield's, Dave and Jane Ann, were very accommodating and easy to work with. I look forward to returning to the Litchfield area and will always ask for this condo first!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is a terrific condo! Clean & completely enough room for our family of four (the Murphy bed was a big part of the fun for our kids!)--Easy beach access/pool/just a short walk to Starbuck's---beautiful beach! Would suggest 2 places to eat nearby that were kid friendly: Creek Ratz & Roz's Rice Mill Cafe. You can buy any sand toys/umbrella/beach stuff nearby. The Piggly Wiggly is simply across the street from the main entrance. A great place to stay! Relaxed locale, great condo, washer/drier just steps away!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a great place to stay with a family. We had 4 adults and 3 children 5,6 & 7. The beach, pool and lazy river is very close. The place was very nice decorated and up to date. The best thing about the stay it had an electronic door lock with no keys just a code. Everyone could go and come without keeping up with door keys. Great idea!! We have stayed North and middle Myrtle beach and here at Litchfield is the best place by far that we have stayed. Very close to golf, eating, shopping and anything else you would want to do and not as crowded as other places. The property was accurately shown and was very clean. Any questions was handled very quickly by the owner. I would recommend this property to anyone and if we go back we will probably stay their if available.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had never visited the Litchfield beach area before last week. We absolutely loved the condo and all the amenities. The condo was decorated very nicely and everything was newly renovated. Upon arrival it was easy to get in as the owner's of the condo had us taken care of at the check-in gate. It was so nice to go to a place that was as described and be very clean. I will definately want to vacation here year after year. The owners of the condo are the best people you could ever work with.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Jane Ann and I are from Mooresville, NC and have loved owning and staying at this property for several years now. Our kids really enjoy the pools and water play areas just as much as the beach itself. This truly is a family resort.
Why the Owner Chose Litchfield By The Sea:
We started visiting Litchfield by The Sea and the Bridgewater yearly with our close friends that owned a condo in the Bridgewater Bldg. After a couple of years, we decided that we had to invest in this incredible resort area, so we searched and found the unit we now have. We love the resort because it is so quiet, peaceful and secure. Our kids don't want to leave after spending time here and it is only 20 minutes from the Grand Strand area without the traffic.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Seconds away from the pool and beach, 20 minutes away from the aquarium, museum, water parks. A huge brackish saltwater water fishing pond with several types of salt water fish. Our kids love going over and catching Drum, Spots, Perch, Flounder and even Blue Crab out of this pond. The sunsets are incredible!
