  This was our 2nd year to stay in the yellow house on 5th St. in Pacific Grove Ca. and we're coming back next year! We are a group of six couples and with the apartment over the garage we are very comfortable. There are great views of the sea from the living room and master bedroom, the kitchen is large with plenty of counterspace, dishes etc. There's a wonderful walking path along the water across the street and an easy walk to Cannery Row in Monterey. We're all looking forward to our return!

  We absolutely loved our vacation in the charming yellow house. It was a true vacation, and we all left feeling very rested and happy. The home is very inviting. It is beautiful, and has a wonderful personality to it.It feels so well cared for and is well maintained. It is apparent that the owners love their place and want to share that with others. We rejoiced over the window seat, and almost fought over it! We thought the home was the perfect blend of the charm and loveliness of yesteryear, but with all of the ease and convenience of modern day. The location was ideal. Could you ask for more gorgeous views from the many windows? We loved the proximity to so many grand options too. The guest house is just as perfect as the main house, and a great option to have. We have all commented that we slept very well there. I am sure it is a combination of quality matresses and the soothing setting. The owners and the agents were very helpful and pleasant, and responded quickly to any question we had. They seemed truly interested in helping us to have a delightful time. We loved playing board games, reading, visiting, and renting bicycles and riding by the seaside. We thought the 17 mile drive was incredible, and the drive through Big Sur was absolutely spectacular- Not to be missed. We ate at some great restaurants in the area. We also found the cooler temperatures to be a bit of heaven after a hot summer where we live. Our only sorrow was that the time passed so quickly! This was a great find.

  This was a perfect home for our family's mini-vacation. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the very helpful and personable owner we knew we had made a good choice. We came to the area specifically to visit the Aquarium and it was a lovely and easy (even with small children) walk. This immaculate home is charming with lots of character. We can't wait to visit again.

  Eleven members of our women's investment club spent a great weekend at this lovely venue. Our criteria was having enough beds for everyone and this property provided that and much more. We ate all our meals at home and the kitchen was very well equiped. The home and guest house were beautifully furnished. The location was ideal as we could walk every where. We could even see Monterey Bay from the living room windows. The club agreed - we'll be back next year.

  From the moment we walked in the doors to this beautiful beach house we knew we were going to have an amazing Family Reunion Week! The cute beach décor, comfy furniture, the window seat with the awesome view and the creaky floors were enjoyed by all of us. We had 5 days of beautiful sunny weather which was great for kayaking with the sea otters and harbor seals, walking and biking the trails, taking a ton of pictures. Some of us went to the aquarium and really enjoyed it. Also the museum was great. We had great Martinis and Margarita at Peppers. The 17 Mile Drive was great on one of the days. We took a drive one day (35 miles) to Capitola which was a great, cute, and quaint little town where we had a yummy lunch @Paradise Beach grill. We worked 5 (!) puzzles read books, made braided bracelets, played a lot of cards, watched movies, ate a lot and just enjoyed each other’s company. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us

  A lovely older home that's been furnished with warm and cozy throws, comfortable furniture, and a view. It was the perfect weekend getaway!! This house sits almost across the street from the water's edge. Going for a run on the trail in either direction was Lover's Point and beyond with obvious breathtaking views and invigorating sea air. The other direction takes you through Cannery Row and into the downtown/wharf section with restaurants. The Aquarium is easily a short walk away. Grocery store is close and kitchen is well equipped for those of us who love to cook. All in all a comfortable and perfect vacation to enjoy time with our extended family. I would definitely recommend it!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

  We stayed in this house with three other couples for four days. It was a tremendous house. Everything was very clean and well decorated. The kitchen had everything - including blender and food processor. Lots of towels and extra blankets provided. There were even make-up towels in bathrooms. Loved sitting in bay window looking at ocean. There were three bouquets of tulips in house! We used grills on night and had all the utensils for that , also. Most equipped house I have ever stayed in. My only small complaint was the knives were not sharp. The kitchen needs a new floor, but I saw wood in the garage - guessing a project to be done. I would definitely stay in this house again!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  The yellow house by the sea was a wonderful place for our family weekend on the Monterey Peninsula. Steps away from the Monterey Coastal Trail; we loved being able to walk to the Aquarium, Lover's Point Park and the shops & restaurants near Cannery Row. The house was as beautiful, immaculate and comfortable as it looks in the photos (although all the white cushions and slipcovers made us a little nervous). The kitchen was impressively well equipped -- we needed for nothing. Also, Annee and everyone at Sanctuary Vacation Rentals helped make the whole rental process go smoothly. We can't wait to come back.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  What a beautiful place to get to stay. We all had the most beautiful week in such a special house, in a such a special location. The house was so accomodating for us. I was so happy to be able to get up in the morning and have a nice cup of coffee in a lovely cup and see the view with my Mom, Dad and kids. There is a lovely space for everyone in this house. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, sitting at the big family table to enjoy a meal and walking along the oceanside. I can't wait to come back again! The owners have made this house such a special place to stay! Thanks for a wonderful home to have our holiday!!!

  We stayed in the guest quarters above the garage. It was so peaceful and clean. We had two adults and three kids and we had pleanty of room. Would stay there again!
