- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Walk into this apartment and you will be swept away by the panoramic (180 degrees) views of the turquoise sea, blue skies, white coral sands, distant waves crashing over the barrier reef, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and pelicans and gulls sailing by your third-floor balcony. Standing on the balcony, you will almost believe you are on a cruise ship on the Caribbean Sea. This is Casita Blanca’s prized apartment, thanks to its third-floor corner location, unparalleled views, and spacious 3-bedroom layout!
This condo has been newly renovated, painted, and furnished with furnishings native to the Yucatán. It is the only apartment in Casita Blanca offering a direct ocean view from the master bedroom, so you can fall asleep listening to the gentle surf or wake up to the rising sun. There is a king-size bed in the master bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom, and a double futon in the third bedroom. The bedrooms have abundant closet space and a safe for your valuables. The renovated kitchen is fully equipped (with filtered water, coffee maker, microwave, tiled countertops, stools, etc.), and the dining area can easily seat six people around the teak table. Step out onto the large balcony, swing in the hammock, nap in the lounge chair, or just drink in the view. The apartment has Wi-Fi, cable TV, a CD and DVD player, as well as quality linens and towels, including extra beach towels.
Casita Blanca is a small family-owned complex located directly on the ocean in the charming Mexican fishing village of Puerto Morelos. Enjoy Casita Blanca's beautiful gardens, tiled swimming pool, lounge chairs, palapas, and the fabulous beach where you can swim, kayak, and snorkel. Casita Blanca’s resident managers, Roberto and Selene, are charming and friendly Spanish- and English-speaking hosts who will assist you with your vacation needs.
A few blocks away is the town of Puerto Morelos, a hidden jewel-of-a-town unspoiled by over-development. You can watch the fishermen come in with their catches at the end of each day, or arrange for first-class diving or snorkeling along the coral reef, a few hundred yards offshore. The town also has fantastic local restaurants, a grocery store, an English-language bookstore, weekly farmer and artisan markets, local spas and yoga classes. Need more action? Its an easy drive north to Cancún or south to Playa del Carmén for shops, crowds, and nightlife. Or, head south along the Riviera Maya to see its famed archaeological sites and ecological parks. There is no end to the delights that await you in this beautiful part of the world!

I'd buy this condo in a heartbeat! My husband and I had an amazing, quiet, restful, playful, creative time here. We're longing to return! It's perfect for a couple like us. Or for a family. Or with a couple of dear friends. Might be awkward for 3 couples...may be a little tight bathroom-wise. From the WONDERFUL master bedroom, you must walk thru the 3rd bedroom...so, there could be privacy issue...that's a personal thing...it wouldn't bother us particularly. But, as this stay there were just the 2 of us: FABULOUS!!! We usually do fancy timeshares and enjoyed ourselves more here! For us, it was about the light, the ocean and the beach, living in "real world", not a resort with only tourists. Enough of that! Being here instead was dreamy, delightful and inspiring! Experiencing living that close to the ocean. Getting back to nature, simplicity, no stress. Getting up with the sun, reading, swimming, long beach walks, buying fresh fish at the markets, fresh farm veggies at the Wednesday Farmer's Market...or hopping on the Collectivo to buy juice and veggies in Colonia. When there's a breeze, there are no mosquitios, so you can eat on the terrace or at the tasteful, handsome dining room table...light the candles, feel the breeze and gaze at the stars. Romantic! There's a fun, charming TIKI bar just next door with excellent ceviche, music and be sure to walk to the loos...hip, clean, cool, imaginative. Gotta see the "old bucket" shower surrounded by tropical plantings. Loved it! Oh...and: The A5 Condo owners are top-notch who will always communicate promptly, clearly, fully and are open to answer any questions you might have. Trustworthy and all-round super. Can't wait for our next visit!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

I had booked a property for our 20th Anniversary to surprise my husband. Prior to us coming the reservation was cancelled on us which left me in a state of panic as we were leaving the next day. I found the listing of Casita Blanca A5 and contacted a lovely man by the name of Carter he assured me his place would be there waiting for us and with such little notice. I felt confident it would work out just by the kind and attentive e-mail's that were sent by Carter. When we arrived we were met by Roberto WOW, he and his family were in an emergency situation of their own and he STILL managed to come and meet us. I just wanted to give him a big hug. There is every shred of truth to all previous reviews. The Condo is absolutely amazing and very user friendly. Put it this way "the beauty of the Condo reflects the beauty of the owners and manager" I can't thank them enough. I am 40 years old and my marriage of 20 years is my biggest accomplishment and it couldn't have been more perfect or romantic considering our location. I can't wait to show the pictures to our friends back in Calgary. Thank you so much again Casita Blanca suite A5 until next time because there will be a next time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We have enjoyed this light-filled condo for the past two winter vacations and highly recommend you book this specific unit in the complex. It is located on the top floor (3rd) and the view is spectacular ( you can see up and down the beach for miles). The condo is huge and is very comfortable and has the most glorious breeze that the air conditioners are never needed (and I always usually have them on in most units we have rented before). The condo has a full size refrigerator with a large freezer department. The furniture and colours used in the decor are tasteful, soothing and current. It is decidedly one of the nicest, most updated condo in Casita Blanca One of the things we love about the complex is the comraderie. Roberto and Selene, the managers, are persons that aim to please and I have only great things to say about their effort in making you comfortable. Rent this condo, you will fall in love with the unit and Puerto Morelos.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Rent this condo!!! You will not be disappointed! My family of 6 had the best time. The condo was impeccable. Extremely clean, the beds were super comfy, the location was the perfect distance from the town center, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements (we really appreciated the sharp knives). The view was to die for, Roberto and his wife were very attentive. The neighbors in the other condos were very friendly~ The pool area and the private beach area in front of the condo were great amenities as well. We will definitely return. Puerto Morelos is a beautiful little town, quiet and a wonderful alternative to the busy bustle of Cancun or Playa del Carmen.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We (two couples) very much enjoyed staying in this condo in May, 2011. The spacious and sunny condo is on the top (3rd) floor of the building closest to the beach, so we had spectacularly beautiful panoramic views of the beach and ocean from the private balcony. The ocean breezes constantly coming into the unit gave it a fresh, cool, airy feeling. The unit is tastefully furnished, very comfortable and well-equipped, and is cleaned twice a week. The Casita Blanca complex itself is a beautifully maintained place with an intimate feeling. It is managed by Roberto, who was consistently very friendly and helpful during our stay. We did travel some, including a trip to Playa del Carmen. But what we most enjoyed was strolling to the very clean beach right in front of the condo, lazing and reading in the sun, or shade from the palapas, taking long beach walks, and of course swims in the ocean. Then we would often walk on the beach into the center of town (about 10 minutes away), enjoy the laid-back un-touristy feeling of Puerto Morelos, and eat lunch or dinner at one of the numerous good local restaurants. Then we would walk back, and relax on the balcony. We had a great stay, and we think that either families or singles would too.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

What a beautiful spot! I've never been much of a condo person, but this place wasn't like my stereotype at all. It is on a very human scale, with only three floors, and two units of each floor. The grounds of the place are shady and green, and the pool area intimate. Roberto, who lives in the complex and manages it, is a very nice guy and extremely responsive to any requests we had.So the whole place feels more like a home than a hotel, and yet has all the advantages of a hotel! It also is extremely well-equipped, especially in the kitchen, having all those little things you need but don't think to ask about. I particularly enjoyed snorkeling right off the beach in front of Casita Blanca. I also liked the choice of two ways to walk into town. Going along the beach is beautiful. Walking via the road takes you past the bakery and the very good dive shop right next store. Don't miss the walk through the wildlife area, which starts by the hotel to the north of Casita Blanca. It is a raised boardwalk through a large wetland, which has amazing bird life and sunset views. I can't wait to go back to this very relaxing vacation spot.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car.

We had a wonderful stay at Casita Blanca. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The view is spectacular especiallly as it has windows on 3 sides which also provides an airy feel. We had a 2 year old and he loved every minute. It was quiet and friendly and had a satisfying walk to the town. We would go back there in a minute. The town square is the center with so many great restaurants. My favourite is Spagattinis- they have a lasagna that is like eating butter. Also we loved the massage in the Jungle, shopping in the Colonia for veggies and real orange juice. And of course, you cannot beat the snorkelling right off the beach.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Our family of 6 - incl kids ranging from ages 1- 11- stayed in Casita Blanca from Dec. 29-Jan. 5 We really enjoyed the unit and it suited our family's needs just as we hoped. It was really nice to leave the windows open at night and enjoy the fabulous ocean breeze. The view from the master bedroom and living area were beautiful. One word of caution- the balcony is not kid friendly (open rails) so we just made sure to keep the screen doors closed at all times. The kitchen was well set up with pots, pans and utensils for cooking. Typically we ate breakfast in the unit every morning, headed to the gorgeous beach and pool for a few hours and then walked 15 minutes down the beach into town for lunch. The property is beautifully maintained by Cesar. He kept the pool in great condition and our kids really enjoyed that it wasn't too deep (4 feet at "deep" end) Roberto was very responsive to our requests- brought up new water and even found a high chair for our squirmy toddler. The beach right in front of Casita Blanca is beautiful. We went into Playa del Carmen one day but were so overwhelmed with its craziness that we never left the Puerto Morelos beach after that. It was also a bonus to have the Ixchel Beach Bar right by our unit. Overall it was a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Puerto Morelos for a family vacation, and Casita Blanca for lodging.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Stayed in the condo the last ten days of October. The unit is in the building closest to the beach and on the top floor, so had enjoyable views -- from the living room, covered balcony, and big bedroom -- of the active beach, sea, and coral reef. Nice breeze cooled the apartment. The condo is very comfortable and well appointed. The condo manager was very responsive and helpful. Easy one kilometer walk into the village (by beach or sidewalk). The village is quite untouristy, yet has all desired restaurants, shops, and services. I went to a fun, festive, bilingual, dancing-to-live music Halloween party in the plaza, with lots of kids and costumes. I enjoyed day trips to Xelha, Xcaret, Playa del Carmen, and Puerto Aventuras. I would have gladly stayed longer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

It was our second stay at Casita Blanca. The condo is perfect, clean, large and simple. The view is the best at Casita Blanca. The beach is sandy, the pool is nice. Puerto Morelos is a nice small town (ten minutes by walk). It is close to the airport and the big touristics spots but it is very quite and people is nice. We went fishing, snorkeling, visited a zoo and relaxed at the pool or on the beach. Great stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: My wife and I are both academics, living in the New York City area on Long Island. We rented another condo in Casita Blanca, and liked it and Puerto Morelos so much that we bought our present condo there (see more below).
Why the Owner Chose Puerto Morelos:
We rented another unit at Casita Blanca early in 2010, and loved both the quiet fishing village of Puerto Morelos (only a 20 minute drive from Cancun International Airport), and the beautiful, quiet Casita Blanca situated right at the ocean beach. We liked the location of Casita Blanca- only a 10 minute walk to the center of town, but far enough to be on a very quiet part of the beach. While staying at Casita Blanca, we were shown a lovely spacious apartment on the third floor, with its gorgeous panoramic views of the ocean. We fell instantly in love with the apartment, bought it, and renovated and furnished it. We think that you and your family would very much enjoy a stay in our place.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
This is indeed a unique apartment- located on the third (top) floor, sunny and spacious with its three bedrooms, bathed by a constant sea breeze, and possessing a gorgeous panoramic ocean view that is the best in Casita Blanca.
