The vacation was terrific and so was the house. It was perfect for a family with 3 active boys. There was a great movie selection and we found everything we needed in the kitchen/laundry. Every morning, my husband and I enjoyed our coffee on the screened-in porch and watched the deer, birds and other wildlife. So peaceful and quiet. We loved the kayaks and canoe and the bikes. We have already suggested the house to some of our friends. We would stay there again. We loved the privacy of Seabrook, the safe biking available for our children, the tennis facilities and the lovely beaches.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our visit to beautiful Seabrook Island was made perfect by this welcoming, spacious, gracious house. We spanned four generations age-wise and there was something for everyone in the house and on the Island. The pictures can only hint at the loveliness of its interior and its location. Our winter visit was unseasonally sunny and warm. The extensive quiet beaches were glorious. Clear skies gave us amazing sunsets and moon rise. The wild life fascinated us and perhaps most memorable was the alligator that lay beside the sign warning us that alligators were dangerous. Was it real or a statue? It did not move, but it was real alright! After this we assumed the turtles were real and they quickly showed us their charming watery antics. An Arts and Crafts Show at the Lakehouse, drinks/brunch at the Clubhouse and browsing in Freshfields Village once again provided something for everyone with still much more to explore on future visits (yes please!).Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Lovely well equipped house feels like home from the moment you arrive. The Rascal Run location offers easy access to Beach, Lagoon, outstanding club facilities and to the Freshfields Village stores. Egret and Ibis were fishing just outside our window. What a great spot.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

New Seabrook Club facilities may be the best total package in the SE. Lakehouse fitness and pool areas are wonderful any time of year. Golf courses may be tough on higher handicappers, but conditioning is excellent and the clubhouse is first class and stands comparison to any exclusive private club. Drinks at sunset at Pelicans Nest will take you away to the islands (reminiscent of Marina Cay off Tortola to this sailor). Don't know who paid for all these new facilities in a recession, but we enjoyed them! The house on Rascal Run is perfect for extended family with two master suites upstairs - we left the teens downstairs to their own beds and business! With raised ceilings in huge Master with private porch and spacious bath - the people paying for the week could enjoy themselves as much as the rest of the family. And they all did with the nice extras: board games, extensive movies on DVD, and a Wii (sp?) video game setup in the greatroom - even a mini-library with an eclectic collection of fiction and non-fiction. BIG kitchen very functional with good flow to common areas - including well furnished screen porch overlooking the marsh where we saw cranes and other birds constantly, a deer and fawns early one morning, and even a bobcat that may have been as spooked as I was. When you leave food on the front porch (even in a cooler) a raccoon apparently visits at night, but we didn't see him. While you must either ride the 5-speed bikes provided (saves you from renting them!) or drive to the beach areas, the local crabbing dock and small boat launch are just across the street and provide interest to kids of all ages. We didn't take out the canoe or sea kayak provided in garage, but other visitors were going down the creek to the inlet between Seabrook and Kiawah. However, for early risers, take your coffee across and sit on the raised platform at the crabbing dock and see the early morning bird activity across the marsh, creek, and to the ocean. And let your stress dissolve naturally. And while getting to the beach at Seabrook is harder than at Myrtle or Hilton Head, the payoff is evident when you get there: no crowds. You can take the bocci balls provided and throw them as far as you like down the beach and you won't hit anyone unless you really try! Walk northeast (left?) from north beach and go to the inlet separating Seabrook from Kiawah - dolphins were close ashore! What a wonderful week! Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This house is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a fabulous vacation. It is new and clean. The marsh is so relaxing. It really "takes you away" from the hustle of everyday life. The beach at Seabrook is amazing--lots of room to play football or frisbee or to just lounge and soak up the sun. If you want a romantic or family getaway or a fun guys/gals vacation, this house fits the bill. Trust me, you won't want to go back to the real world, unless it is to get a lovely meal in Charleston! Just heavenly!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Fully stocked kitchen overlooks spacious living area, complete with large screen TV. The screened in porch is perfect for afternoon drinks, and overlooks the beautiful marsh complete with tropical sea birds. You'll sleep like a baby in the tranquill bedrooms with private baths. The master suite is huge with walkout second floor deck. The master bath includes a whirlpool tub and luxurious spa shower. If you're an early riser, you'll love walking next door to the 2 story crabbing dock for morning coffee overlooking both the ocean and the marsh. Stunning neighborhood with old Spanish oaks gently draped in moss provide great biking trails (bikes included). The ocean provides one of the most incredible private beaches on this planet. Enjoy the dolphins swimming in the lagoon with a glass of champagne at sunset. This will be one vacation home you will never forget ! We will come back here again and again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Wonderful place to stay. Great house to relax in, and is very convenient to Charleston(25 min. away). Very relaxing place to get away from it all. Easy drive(or bike ride) to a nearly deserted beach. Very quiet, great scenery, the marsh changes hourly and is relaxing to sit and watch. Great place for nature photography. Screened porch is great to read on or catch a nap. Very quiet no large crowds or a lot of noise.Seabrook is private and quiet House has washer and dryer, plus just about anything you'd want to have a great vacation. Can't wait to go back.!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
