This lakefront home is clean and well-stocked. You just have to bring toiletries and food. Some food is provided in the pantry; most condiments are provided. The projection TV and hot tub are awesome!

This is a wonderful place for a weekend getaway or short vacation. The apartment has all the amenities and then some. I was a little concerned about being in someone's basement apartment, but it is soundproofed, and you don't even know the owners are there. The view is indescribable. There is a great dock for fishing and an awesome entertainment system. The whole place is quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was just the right temperature. There is a nice selection of books, movies and games. The owner even left us a plate of homemade cookies. We will definitely go back!

Lovely, quiet lakeside apartment.

What a gorgeous place! The owners provide not only a beautifully decorated, well-appointed two bedroom lakeside apartment, but also a hot-tub, Wifi, private parking, lake pier, covered patio and enough food in the pantry for a scrumptious breakfast! We were there for activities at nearby Suwanee, but would honestly have been just as happy to stay by the lake and enjoy the quiet and the beautiful views of water and autumn leaves. This will continue to be on our list of favorite VRBO places to stay.

The BEST Ever

My husband and I arrived a little earily then expected to find Kimberly cleaning. She was very nice and I enjoyed talking with her. The place was better then we thought from the pictures. It was great!!!! Everything from the cookies to the mints on the pillows to the food in the kitchen. I could not believe how nice it was. I even told my husband we couldn't stay in this place because it was too nice. Can't wait to go back in May. Lilli, thanks for working with us on our arrival date changing because of my husband braking his back. The hot tub did him alot of good. He will have surgery Nov. 1. Dave, thanks for the copy of your book. I've told everyone I see about it. Can't wait for it to become a movie and watch it on the BIG screen at your lovely home. Thanks for everything.

The amentities that this house offers, are more than expected. It has a great view. My family and I enjoyed the stay and wished we would have booked for a longer period. Once you get there and experiance this home it is hard to leave. The owerners of this property where great. The cookies and chocolates were a nice treat!

This more than met my expectations for a secluded, relaxing get away for our honeymoon. All you really need to bring is your clothes. There was so much extra amenities and hospitality that others don't take the time to do. If you forget something it is probably already there in the cabinets. And the lake view and dock was so nice. Cupboards and Frig were stocked. I will definitely book again Every year! Thank you so much Lilli and Dave.

We had a great stay. This rental was the best ever. We loved waking up on the Lake every morning and my son loves to fish so that was a bonus. No problem getting him out of bed in the morning, he was up before us every morning and down to the dock to fish and he caught a lot of fish but put them back in the Lake so others can enjoy. I recommend this rental and the homemade cookies at arrival made us feel so welcome. The owners answered all questioon we had and even had food in frig. and cabinets for us to use if need be. Was a great vacation and great place to stay would recommend highly, we give it 10 Stars.

My husband and I had a very relaxing extended getaway. We fished, enjoyed the hot tub and surrounding towns. The Stevens have a beautiful home. There were homemade cookies waiting for us and chocolates on our pillows. It is perfect for a family of 4 of 2 couples. The boat dock was perfect for fishing from. We will be return to enjoy another wonderful stay.

All items shown in the listing were met or exceeded during our visit. All equiment worked and the hot tub, projection television, peddle boat and well stocked refrigerator / pantry added to an outsatnding, enjoyable stay. I have already recommended this location to my friends. Harry & Kim

I surprised my husband with a spring weekend getaway and this place was aboslutely flawless! The pictures do not even do the view justice. We had varied weather, but enjoyed soaking up the sun on the clear days and reading a book on the dock, went into Winchester to the San Miguel Coffee shop and sat in the hot tub on the rainy day, and loved staying in and watching movies, making dinner, and enjoying all the ammenities Dave & Lilli offer. I echo all the responses here, a great place owned by a great couple willing to do all the little "extras". Not far from hiking (Fiery Gizzard) or Chattanooga! Highly recommend!

This is the perfect "getaway" for a couple or small family. Very private and overlooks the lake. The sunsets are gorgeous! Lilli is the perfect hostess/landlord and will answer any questions very promptly. The pantry and fridge were fully stocked. She left us homemade cookies... and even put chocolates on our pillow! We had an amazing anniversary and I would recommend this place to anyone (although I really want to keep it a secret!) Thank you Lilli & Dave for sharing your beautiful place!

WOW! was my reaction when I walked into this place. My husband and I decided to get away for the weekend without the kids (however, they would have loved it). All I wanted to do was relax and read, and my husband was able to bring his boat and park it the dock right below the property. There are far more anemeties given to you than are indicated. There was a fresh plate of yummy cookies, the fridge and pantries were all stocked. You had to go to the store for absolutely nothing. Where do you get that kind of service?? for the price. Nowhere I've ever stayed. The view is amazing. I'm sure fall would be even more beautiful. We could not have been any happier the entire weekend. P.S. Now my husband wants a projection screen - it is pretty cool. Thank you Lilli for everything you did to ensure our stay was wonderful and making sure we would have everything we needed before we even arrived. Sept. 16-18, 2011

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is beautiful beyond words. I was able to get some well needed rest. The place was beautifully decorated and the view was breathtaking. We did some fishing/paddle boating then relaxed in the hot tub in the evenings. Highly recommended and the owners are really sweet people. Will defiantely be returng soon!

We loved staying at this house. It is beautiful, clean and has a nice boat deck. It is a good place for small families. The view of the lake during fall is great and it has also a nice home theatre if you want to stay inside and relax.

We choose Home Away from Home properties to stay in for our 3 person family on most of our vacations and get aways. (3 -4 annually) This property is by far the best one we have had the pleasure of staying at. What you see in the pictures and what is described is what you get upon arrival, a wonderfully maintained, perfectly functioning property in a beautiful environment. Your hosts are lovely to work with and are genuinely interested in ensuring your stay is a perfect experience. They make you feel like you are part of their family or close friends you have had for years. We needed a central location to tour Tennessee from Nashville to Chattanooga. We took a zip line tour, explored the Cumberland Caverns and visited Ruby falls and Rock City. Our 10yo boy had a blast! Paddle boating at sunset was a fantastic way to end our adventurous days. Beautiful Location, functional property, great instructions on operating everything and everything worked and worked well. I would highly recommend this property, our expectations were totally exceeded!

Perfect Place to Get Away from the Everyday!

Before using this rental I knew the beauty of the area, but after I appreciated it more having spent time in the perfect accommodations. It is quiet and picturesque. It has everything you need for the perfect stay. The bed was comfortable along with the furniture. The kitchen is well stocked for staying in and cooking a quiet romantic meal. You can entertain yourself on the property or venture out and have pleanty to do in a short distance. My wife was totally pleased as this was the place I picked for our honeymoon. The owners Lilli and Dave were not there but made sure our stay was memorable and they are very knowledgable of the area and can direct you to sites worth seeing, places worth visiting and food worth eating. If you like nature, the outdoors, visiting historic places, romance, need a quiet place to relax, enjoy sightseeing, need to get away from it all or whatever you would love to stay here. I will recommend it to anyone and everyone I know. The only regret I had was not being able to stay longer. It is one of those places that just the view is a little peace of heaven on earth and allows you to enjoy God's creation at some of it's best. I could say a lot more but simply put is was great and we will be going back. Thank you Lilli and Dave!

A enjoyment for couples and family.

My husband came home for a vacation from over seas. We decided that is would be great to just get out of town, and spend some quality time with the whole family. We have two daughters ages of 17 to 19. I thought it was going to be hard to find things to keep teens interest but there are several things to do and places to go. A couple of mornings my youngest daughter and her father went fish of the dock. Later in the after noon we spend time swimming or taking the paddle boat across the lake. If it rained we would watch a movie and play the Wii system on the big screen. (which a big win for teens video games) We checked out the Falls Mill which is beautiful, and breath taking (GREAT TO PACK A ROMANTIC PICNIC) or a picnic for the family, with a waterfall right next to a creak. Another place we went to is the Jack Daniels Distillery which was very interesting, My oldest daughter was surprise to find out that Jack Daniels had die from kicking his Safe. After she had watch a Thousand Ways To Die (TV show) in which one of the ways to die was Jack Daniels death. We also went to Nashville to the Andrew Jackson's Plantation. Dave & Lili, this place is a great location and also very homey. You make everything easy and pleasant for everyone to stay here. You deserve a BIG HUG of appreciation. This is outstanding!!!!! BRAVO!!!

My husband Jeff and I wanted to escape and enjoy our boat on Tims Ford Lake. Each day was just breathtaking with nature and wildlife. Our accommodations were exceptional that included windows galore. When we were not outside we could continue to look out and view the beauty of the lake. I would definitely recommend this location to family and friends. Thank you Dave & Lili for everything.

Relaxation With A View

May 1-4, 2010 Scenery, tranquility, peace, quiet, wildlife, blue skies, storm filled skies….our last minute get-away was more than we could have hoped for. Lilli and Dave have gone the extra mile to anticipate our every need (and then some) for a memorable anniversary trip. We live in Spring Hill, TN and found ourselves tucked away in this paradise called Tim’s Ford during the week end that Nashville had the history making rain fall and flooding. The first few days we watched thunderstorm/lightening storms from the big windows and the last few days enjoyed beautiful blue skies and glass-like waters on the lake from the hot tub and dock. We found Lilli and Dave easy to work with in making arrangements. What wonderful hosts! They are knowledgeable of the area and were helpful in suggesting places to eat (Sunday brunch at Arezzo's in Winchester was outstanding) and visit. They even provided weather updates via text messaging:-) We’ll definitely return (with our boat, next time).

As seasoned travelers to upscale properties around the world we wondered what Tennessee may have to offer us for a weekend. With 7 in our party, including 2 toddlers and 3 teenagers for a quick weekend getaway, we found this property exquisite and every amenity thought of. Simply a gem in the middle of Tennessee that you would kick yourself if you missed. The view is tremendous, the furnishings well appointed, and every detail handled.. The Dock is great to fish from, the whole property is tranquil and relaxing. the paddle-boat witch seats three was awesome for the kids to take out and get around the lake. Although we didn't rent a boat, I'm certain you could and dock it here for going skiing during the summer. We wouldn't hesitate to re-rent this property from Dave and Lilli.
