This condo exceeded all my expectations! The location was perfect. Close enough to walk to shops, dinning, the beach and a great home base to explore the entire island. We stayed for 6 days, but this condo was so well stocked and comfortable, we could have stayed all month with no problem. When we spent the day at the beach everything we needed was there for us, chairs, cooler, umbrella even sunscreen for those who forgot. The kitchen had everything I needed to make a great meal. I loved eating out on the lanai. These owners thought of everything to make our stay relaxing and fun. There were lots of resources of activities to enjoy on the island & great books. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is fantastic; I hate bringing home a suitcase of dirty clothes. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were outstanding, now I’ve never mentioned sheets before, but when you sleep on them you’re sure to agree. I appreciated the attention to detail in making this condo beautiful and comfortable. There were 2 of us, however I think having another couple with us would have been fine too! I would not hesitate to book with them again and I would recommend this condo to anyone who looking for an outstanding experience on Maui.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We've stayed at Maui Vista several times and have always enjoyed the convenience of it's location. It is close to the beach and with in walking distance to anything you need. This is the nicest unit we have ever been in at Maui Vista. It was clean and well appointed. Owners were responsive. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I have gone on line in the past to find rental holiday accommodations with mixed results, but our stay at Tropical Island Condo more then lived up to the description and our expectations. The interior was very nicely appointed; kitchen appliances and equipment top notch and the grounds were immaculate. Being right across the street from Kamaole1 Beach at the Charlie Young Park was so convenient. We checked out many other beaches on the Island but kept coming back to "our" beach. All of our questions and request where dealt with quickly Karen was so accommodating. A week before we left we received a pkg. of brochures and maps to help us plan some of our road trips; I was so impressed. The gentleman who looks after their unit stopped into introduce himself and was also very helpful. There is a decent selection within walking distance for shops, services and eating places it is very comfortable for two but would be a little too cosy for some people with four. A family with small children may be ok. It was an exceptional stay and would definitely return to this property and recommend it unconditionally.

I could not end my vacation and not write a review on our rental ...which was amazing. First when booking Karen and Steve responded within hours to every email. What you see in the pics is what you get. I was fortunate to see many of the other rentals and ours hands down was the best. The kitchen is very well equipped, the closet is stocked with beach chairs, Matts, cooler, beach towels. The beach is across the street. Restaurants and stores all within walking distance both ways. This is a very central location and convenient to drive to any part of the island without wasting a whole day driving. Must sees are road to Hana, Willie K he plays at Mulligans every Wed and Thurs 10 min drive, sunsets are amazing at the Charlie young beach. This is a rental you will not regret. Steve & Karen, thanks for sharing your amazing condo. We met so many of the other residents, great group here at Maui Vista. Your condo is by far the nicest decor of all I visited. Snorkeling was amazing - the turtles...wow! Kihei Cafe was a regular stop almost daily. And great ice cream up by Denny's. One request - a land line. It would be very convenient to be able to call locally. We will definitely be back...hopefully sooner rather than later, haha! Thanks again :)

The condo was perfect for us (2). It was nicely upgraded and well laid out. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was a cooler, beach chairs, mats, snorkeling gear, beach towels and everything we could possibly have needed for our 2 week stay. The unit was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The Lanai faced the parking lot but that didn't take away from the experience; it was fun to watch all the comings and goings of the complex.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I make annual vacations to Kihei and try to stay at the Maui Vista. We love the complex as it is generally very quiet, clean and well cared for. The location is perfect as you can walk almost any of the local resteraunts, watch the sunsets across the street and the beach is beautiful. This unit in paticular is one of my favourites for sure. It is as beautiful as the pictures show. It is also a very open configuration which we particuarly enjoyed. There is nothing you need to bring to enjoy the beach - coolers,chairs,mats and beach towels are provided. My husband and I slept both in the bedroom and on the Murphy bed. The bedroom matress is very comfortable and quiet. We tried the Murphy bed, again very comfortable but found that if you leave the sliding glass doors open you will hear a fair amount of noise from the parking area ( 5 am seems to be the start up time). This is easily remedied by shutting the door and turning on the efficient air conditioning or fan. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to visit Kihe. Karen and Steve are wonderful to deal with as is the property manager. The only reason I never gave this an excellent rating was due to there being no phone service in the unit. I am from Canada and even with a plan on my cell the calls and air time add up quickly.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was the nicest condo I've seen (it looks just like the pictures) and I've seen quite a few. The 2nd building is far enough from the street that it's pretty quiet. The couches & bed were super comfortable. All the bedding/cookware/flatware were upscale and of excellent quality. Being so close to Charley Young Beach was awesome! I stayed in north Kihei before and the beaches that were walking distance were not as nice. We watched the sunset at the beach almost every night here. We also went boogie boarding (they have 1 provided in the unit). There are plenty of places that are easy to walk to (shopping, restaurants) and the main surfing beach is really close too (2 min drive). I would have given it 5 stars but when we arrived the apartment had not been cleaned. I called the local contact number and his wife, Linda, owns the cleaning company and came over that night to clean everything up. She also stopped by a few days later to drop off some flowers as an apology. The rest of our trip was great and everything in the condo was perfect. We're coming back over the summer and sad to see that it's not available for the time we'll be there.

Dear Steve & Karen, Thank you for opening your condo to us, we had a beautiful vacation here in Maui and it was in no small part due to this gorgeous, comfortable, and well located condo. This was our second time to Hawaii and first time to Maui. As I was 31 weeks pregnant we had a very low-key trip filled with whale watching, sun bathing, bbqing, dining, and resting. We highly recommend Hawaii Ocean Project's Whale watching tour, a trip to the upcountry, sunset on Charley Young Beach, beaches at Makena-Wailea, and the Tiki Lounge. Mahalo!

What a fabulous week we spent in Kihei, the natural surroundings made even better by having such a great home base to operate from. Steve and Karen have thought of and supplied everything needed for the perfect vacation in their beautiful condo, from beach chairs to tennis supplies to a cooler for packing lunch along on your day trips. With Charley Young beach right across the street, we found it easy to pack up and make the very short walk to the sand multiple times daily. Great snorkeling with easy access on both ends of the beach as well. Shops and restaurants abound either way you turn from the condo, rendering driving nearly unnecessary if you plan to stick close to "home". The condo itself is beautifully and comfortably finished, allowing those who stay immediate relaxation. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and tools, making it easy to whip up a meal if the mood strikes. Grocery stores are nearby and easy to find, allowing some real money saving options if you don't wish to dine out every day. Parking at the condo is easy to come by - We could always peek out and see our car if we wanted to from the lanai. Posted "quiet hours" between 10pm and 8am keep the premises peaceful, and we were awaked every day with the sound of tropical birds rather than voices from neighbors. All-in-all, a wonderful place we would return to in a heartbeat, and fully plan on doing so!

We've had such a fantastic week, our first time in Maui. Lots of activity as well as quiet. Went in an outrigger twice, the first time aiding a Portland fellow who encountered a shark as it attached itself to his leg. I've never paddled that hard in my life. What a story to tell when we get home! Loved our trip to Hana - such a paradise. Came home around the tip. Patchy road but amazing scenery & views. Were entranced watching a group swing dance to an amazing blues band over at Three's bar. Will be looking for lessons at home. Thank you Karen & Steve for your lovely condo.

We spent some lovely time here in Maui. The weather was excellent, sunny, warm. The apartment was a great home away from home and we enjoyed it very much indeed. As places to eat go, we'd recommend Cafe O'Lei. In terms of diving the trip with the Maui Dive Shop was excellent, good quality and knowledgeable dive masters. Thanks a lot from all of us.

Clean, modern, lots of storage and great finishings. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. Perfect place to celebrate our wedding. We especially loved the ice maker feature on the fridge!

We thoroughly enjoyed spending our 40th wedding anniversary on Maui - made even more special because we were able to stay here - love the design - "simple elegance" fully knowing that there was nothing simple about the attention to every detail. We have wainscoting at home so for us it was very homey. Loved the variety of beaches & we snorkeled or visited beaches nearly daily. Thank you for your friendliness & generosity!!

Karen and Steve were a pleasure to work with - prompt and professional. The condo was impeccably clean, well updated, very comfortable and full of amenities. A tip for future renters: they do provide a starting supply of paper goods, but if you are staying more than a few days you will need to buy toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. There was a selection of spices in the cabinet which was nice, and of course an otherwise well-equipped kitchen. The location of the condo was perfect, walking distance to the beach & many dining options. We would highly recommend this place for a romantic and wonderful stay in Maui!

From the moment I contacted Steve and Karen, the experience was nothing but perfect. They followed up quickly and made the process very easy. This was the second time I had visited Maui and the first time for my new husband as we were celebrating the first half of our honeymoon. As soon as we stepped in we were very impressed because the condo looks exactly as it is pictured. It was modern, clean and just gorgeous. The extra little amenities like his and her robes, cooler, beach chairs, etc. made the trip just more perfect. Thank you so much Steve and Karen for your professionalism and opening up your beautiful condo for us. We are already planning our 1st year anniversary back to Maui and look forward to staying here again.

This was a wonderful condo - extremely clean and organized and well stocked. The communication was very good between the owners and me and we checked in with no problems. The upper floor was great because we got the evening breeze, and the murphy bed is a good alternative to the sofa bed. It is nicely furnished and very close to dining and the beach.

We had a wonderful time exploring Maui and the comforts of your condo enhanced our experience. Snorkeling @ Honolua Bay & the 5 Caves were both amazing, great sea life to be found! Eating in Lahaina @ Honu & @ Mama's in Paia were definitely with our while. The feast @ Lele was a nice experience, tho way too much food! :) But the dancing was fabulous! It's great that we can create our adventure every day and amenities along the coast are easily found.

We so enjoyed our stay here in your lovely condo. It was our long awaited honeymoon/first big trip together and it could not have gone smoother. We had fabulous daily adventures and enough memories to last us a lifetime! We loved every minute of our stay here and thank your for providing such a great base! This was my husband's first true vacation - he has never come close to visiting a place like Maui and now - he is officially hooked! We love it here and will be back someday!

What a great base to explore Maui from, shore diving at White Rock & Makena Landing (great service @ Maui Dreams), fantastic dinner @ Mama's Fish House ($$$). Tiki Lounge is a great place, affordable & much better than lousy Lulu's. The walk 1.5 blocks North for sunset is really worth it. We kept the bedroom window & back sliding door open for our stay and it created a really nice breeze, plus we got to wake up to the birds each morning! You have an awesome place here - we hope others enjoy it as much as we have!

Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your home away from home. The condo is beautiful and we felt right at home during our stay. We enjoyed many mornings on the lanai eating breakfast, listening to the birds, and relaxing as we looked at the great view. Kihei was a prime location! Very close to the beaches and a central point when driving to other areas of the island. Once again thank you for your wonderful attention to detail and opening up your home to us! We had an amazing honeymoon in Maui! Your condo is just beautiful & was a fantastic "home" to come back to after checking everything off our list. We drove the road to Hana, swam in one of the seven sacred pools, watched the sunrise from the crater, enjoyed paddle boarding & so much more. Mahalo for such a lovely place to stay.

We loved everything about this condo and had a wonderful, wonderful stay. Extremly clean, well kept and the condo buildings itself were very well maitained. This was our 3rd trip to Maui and we will for sure be back to this condo, it was our favourite one yet! Highly recommend it to anyone!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in this lovely one bedroom condo. The location was perfect, across the street from the beach and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and a large grocery store. The condo itself was clean and comfortable and it came with a number of perks such as an in-suite washer and dryer, wireless internet, step stool and a number of pantry items. From the lovely granite counter-tops in the kitchen and bathroom to the extensive collection of dishes, pots and pans, utensils and knives, this condo surpassed our expectations. Steve and Karen were a pleasure to deal with as they were not only knowledgeable, but also well-organized and responsive to any questions. Mahalo for a most enjoyable stay.

Everything at Maui Vista was great - the proximity to the beach, it was clean and well appointed with higher end finishings. I received answers to all my questions prior to our stay - which I really appreciated. My only comment would be that the unit is ideally suited for only 2 adults. Our 18 year old daughter came with us and it was a bit crowded, especially since there is only one bathroom. However, it still was a great condo with all the amenities. The balcony is a perfect spot for a morning coffee or to relax after lunch. The condo location is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops in the area. It was truly an enjoyable stay at Steve and Karen's condo!! Mahalo!

Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Karen and Stephen were absolutely wonderful from the first time we enquired about their condo, a real pleasure to deal with. The condo is just like the pictures. The beach across the street is great for just relaxing or having fun boogy boarding. Great place would definetly stay there again. The condo has everything you need from cooking to having fun at the beach. I would recommend this condo to anyone who loves luxury.

Hello! Our stay was great. Your condo was perfect and a great place to retire to! Although an ocean view would have been nice, we were actually happy to be off S Kihei road as it's pretty busy. We were amazed how quiet it was even though the condo was maybe a block back. I can definitely see us coming back in the future!

This condo is a great value in the heart of Kihei. We had 5 couples staying in different units at Maui Vista, and they were all stunned at how nice this unit was. Exactly as pictured and sparkling clean, with extremely friendly and responsive owners. Would definitely stay again!

Maui Vista is a great building. The building is close to everything. There is a Beach right across the street. You could not rent a car and have everything you need right there. The grounds are clean. The room was very clean and up to date. It has everything you would need.(cooking,beach,ect..)Thank you for letting us enjoy your second home..

We enjoyed our time in Maui, and your condo as well. The place is redone very nicely, and well kept (better than many I've stayed at on island). And we enjoyed the beach right across the street. So I'll definitely keep it in mind for my future travels to Maui.

Our trip to Maui was to meet my very first grandchild. She arrived on Oct 25th & she couldn't be more special & precious adding another great part to our lives. We crammed as much as possible in this trip - Big Beach, Makena Golf, Merriman's for nice dinner - all recommended. This condo is awesome & beautiful & we are spreading the word about it. Thank you Steve and Karen for the use of your condo! We had a wonderful time on Maui, seven days was too short, wished it could have been longer. The condo was beautifully decorated, extremely clean, quiet and well organized, a pleasure to stay in. Centrally located on Maui, easy access to everything! My wife and I spent 10 very enjoyable days in this condo. The listing description and photos are completely accurate. The location is both quiet and very conveient to the beach, shops and restaurants. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. I wouldn't hestitate to stay there again!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I had a wonderful time during our stay in this condo. Super comfortable with all the amenities you need...really nice kitchen, ac, comfortable bed...and for the beach you have beach chairs, cooler, body boards, etc.... Also, you have access to pools as well as tennis courts although we didn't get a chance to use them....too much time at the beach I guess. :) Location was great...just a short walk to (the uncrowded) Charley Young Beach. Other necessities such as grocery stores, restaurants and shopping are just a walk or short drive away. (I would highly suggest renting a car for any Maui vacation....) Thanks again Steve and Karen! We hope to be back soon! Mahalo!

We have been visiting Maui for a number of years now always staying at the Maui Vista. We have rented a number of differant units in the past. I have to say this is far and away the nicest unit of all that we have rented. The unit underwent a first class major renovation a couple of years ago. It would appear that no costs were spared during the renovation. The unit is very clean throughout. Stephen and Karen were amazing to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the unit to anyone.

This was a wonderful condo - extremely clean and organized and well stocked. The communication was very good between the owners and me and we checked in with no problems. The upper floor was great because we got the evening breeze, and the murphy bed is a good alternative to the sofa bed. It is nicely furnished and very close to dining and the beach.

We had a wonderful time. The condo was terrific...loved the location in Kihei, everything was just as expected and very comfortable. We hope to visit again some day and become among the ranks of people who have fallen in love with Maui!

The condo is beautifully furnished. It has been updated. Has marble floors and stainless appliances. The grounds and pool were well kept. The location is great. The beach is across the street. Shops and restaurants all with in walking distance. Me and my wife had a great time and plan to visit Maui and plan to stay here again.

Hi Steve & Karen, My family had a great time staying at your Maui Vista Condo. It was extremely well furnished and we liked all the small touches that showed the effort you put in. Steve and Karen's condo in Maui was beautiful! I stayed 10 days in their condo. It felt like a home away from home. It was clean, bright, comfortable and inviting. This is a great space for a couple or a couple with kids. The murphy bed was so comfortable! I hardly ever used the air conditioner. Just open up the bedroom window and the sliding door and enjoy the great cross breeze in the afternoon. It was so convenient to grab a beach chair, a towel and walk to Charley Young Beach which is right across the street from Maui Vista. It was such a nice space to relax in after a day of beaching it or exploring the island. It was so nice to come 'home' to the condo and fall asleep on the couch, drink in hand. Kihei is such a great little town in a perfect central location. When I go back to Maui I'm going back to Steve and Karen's!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
