We are a UK family and this was our first holiday at the Florida Keys. We had a fantastic week, Mary's home was superb, immaculately clean, and within minutes of the beach and Cabana Club. This was especially important for our sons (5y and 10y old) who enjoyed the pool at the club and managed to quickly find new friends. Communication with the owner has always been straightforward and timely. All in all we had a great time and would be certainly visiting again.

I spent hours researching which house I wanted to rent for our second trip back to Key Colony Beach. I chose this house and am so glad I did. Mary was great to work with before our trip, quickly answering any emails I sent. I had one quick question while we were at the house and she answered the phone right away, answered my question, and then wanted to hear how we were enjoying her house and Key Colony Beach. The photos and description of the house were accurate. The house was a really nice layout for our group. It is an L shaped house with the foyer and lower bedroom on the ground floor of the long part of the L, with the living/dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom above it. There was a covered deck on both levels which connected to the short part of the L, where there was the den on the lower level and the third bedroom with attached bath on the upper level. We had my husband and I and our two younger kids in the long part of the L in the up/downstairs bedrooms, and my sister and brother in law were in the other upstairs bedroom accessed by the deck, and our 18 year old and her friend stayed in the den with the futon, accessed through the lower deck. There was also a side porch, front porch, and backyard seating area overlooking the canal. This was really nice for when we all came back from the Cabana Club and wanted to rest before going out to dinner. Everyone could find their own spot. I liked having the laundry in a little nook off of the upstairs deck, making it easy for everyone to use. The house was very clean and very well stocked. The kitchen was especially well stocked for a vacation rental. We loved eating outside on the upstairs deck, taking a short walk to Inch Beach or Sunset Park. We would walk to the Cabana Club, Leigh Ann's Coffee House, or just to go exploring the island. It gave everyone the flexibility to do their own thing and then meet up with the group when ready. We love Key Colony Beach. We stayed here last year in a two bedroom house and liked it so much we invited family to join us and found this house to rent. We took trips to Key West, Spirit Snorkeling in Marathon (about 15 minutes away), and went back to the Sunset Grille in Marathon a couple of times. We would get there around 4, order drinks and appetizers while the kids swam in the pool at the restaurant, and watched the sun set overlooking 7 Mile Bridge. I would highly recommend Key Colony Beach, and this house in particular, to friends and family.

Relaxing ,clean, comfortable, calming... we enjoyed this rental from day one. It was a pleasure dealing with Mary (the owner) and her husband. If you want to spend quality time in Key Colony look no further, rent this home.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at this home. It is beautiful, clean and looks exactly as the pictures show. This location is perfect for visiting all the Florida keys. It was so relaxing returning to this home after a full day of snorkeling and private beach. We all enjoy our private rooms. We would love to visit this home again and would recommend it to family and friends. Mary was very nice and on top of everything. It was a pleasure dealing with her.

The house is spectacular. It's clean, spacious, well equipped and ready for family fun and relaxation. It was perfect for us. My teenage daughter and cousin stayed in the twin room upstairs, which has it's own bathroom and entrance. They had privacy but close to the rest of the house. My mother-in-law stayed in the twin room downstairs, which also had it's own bathroom. She was able to escape for quiet time there. The master bedroom was great size with PLENTY of storage. My husband and I slept comfortable in the bed. My teenage son stayed in the TV room with the futon downstairs. He thought of it as a bachelor pad. He played his Xbox and enjoyed his nightly quiet time. We had plenty of local wildlife to keep us entertained. The iguanas, anoles, and geckos were abundant. The birds were fun to watch. It was a short drive to the grocery, local restaurants and local fish markets. The drive to Key West was easy. The Cabana Club was awesome. The staff was pleasant and catered to us. Their food was great too. We took great senior pictures at Inch Beach and the park at the end of the street. They turned out wonderful! The home exceeded our expectations. There is nothing I would change. Mary goes above and beyond. She quickly answered any questions we had and we are checking our calendar for next year! Our only complaint is one week is not enough. Next year we shoot for 2 weeks! Thank you Mary! God has blessed you with a wonderful home. We were blessed with the opportunity to stay there and feel so welcomed. We thank you for opening up your home to my family. Your sayings throughout the house not only serve as great decor, but are true expressions that reflected upon our vacation and how we felt! We will definitely be back.

We did enjoy our stay at your very clean, beautifully decorated home and we were able to do a lot of snorkeling during the week at several locations. We love snorkeling and we were able to share the thrill of it with 2 of our grown children and an 8 year-old grandson this time around. The calm weather/winds created perfect conditions for enjoying this adventure. We did not make it to the Cabana pool until the day before we left, but we thought it was great and the beach area in front was also very nice. We wish we had gone there earlier in the week. Inch Beach, unfortunately was full of very smelly seaweed that had washed up from a recent storm and was piled high on the sand. But, we understand the unpredictability of nature and it's effects. Snorkeling Fans

We truly enjoyed our week at this very clean, attractively decorated home! The beds felt very comfortable after long days of sightseeing and snorkeling! The 2 large-screen TV's (with cable) were a hit with our grandson. This rental has a layout that works well for families or couples who like a little privacy while still sharing their vacation time together. The many tropical plantings around the yard were amazingly colorful and there's a fun little path on one side leading down to the canal area where you will see iguanas basking in the sun. We picked a few Key limes off a tree for our drinks! Key Colony Beach is a delightful community where you feel safe and secure. People walk or ride bikes to gather at Sunset Beach Pier for the beautiful sunsets most nights. The Cabana Pool & Beach were wonderful amenities with a clean sandy beach and good ocean water for swimming. We recommend the superb "Early Bird" specials at the KCB Restaurant (price includes wine and dessert). Or, you can cook a nice meal in the large kitchen at the rental property. It is well-stocked with modern appliances, utensils, pots and pans, and dishware. We were pleasantly surprised with how attractive and clean this large unit actually was...the listing description and photos may not do it justice. You are not getting just half of a duplex like many of the homes in KCB. You are getting a 2-story home with 3 BR's and 3 BA's. Key Colony Beach itself is conveniently located in the middle area of the Keys, so you can explore up and down the islands easily. Mary was very attentive to our needs. She was also easy to correspond with concerning our questions about the property and it's amenities. We would definitely return!

What a great vacation

The house was very nice and met everything my large family needed for a vacation. The location is wonderful becayse if the dock on the canal and local restaurants are less than a half mile away. The Cabana club that is included is an excellent local Tiki bar and pool that is great to place to relax in the evening. Plenty of space for two couples as well as the their is some separation between the bedrooms to give it almost a private lodging feel. I would definitely stay here again!

KCB - April week vacation

We had a great time at 201 11th Street. The home is as described, very clean and well kept. The setup of the house is interesting, but works out great...one floor has a huge kitchen and large family area, connected to a full master suite area, downstairs has another bedroom with two twin beds and full bath...the other part of the house is connected via a covered porch overlooking the canal, very nice area with table and chairs...to a third bedroom with twin beds and full bath....underneath has a 4th futon/tv room area. The setup worked out great for us, my wife and kids in the main house, with another couple in the other part of the house...house really sets up well for family, but also for seperate spaces for couples or teenagers. Inch Beach is about 200 yards from the front door, where you can bring a cooler and beach chairs (provided with the house); enjoy a clean sandy beach, which can be hard to find in the Keys. Bikes were really great to use, which we took to some of the local bar/restaurants, as well as the Cabana Club with has a great pool/beach setup, with cocktail servers walking around, bar type food etc...we spent days at both Inch and Cabana. Location worked out really well, with many sites, restaurants within 5-10 minutes outside of KCB...as well as a Supermarket and CVS for essentials. The owners were very responsive when one bike got a flat tire, as well as a few other quick questions. We did not use the canal/boat area, instead chartering with many local options available, large boat or private. Highly recommend this property for rental.

Once again we all had a great vacation in KCB, is an awesome place to stay. My kids, wife and myself along with my sister inlaw and brother inlaw all had privacy. The house is very clean and everything you need is all there. Two fridges & bait freezer, washer, dryer, nice dock for a boat, three bikes. The canal side yard and dock are perfect to sit and hang out in the sun and watch my son fish, and to have a few drinks with friends. Inch beach is close and beautiful. Sunrises are AWESOME, groomed beach easy swimming and sun bathing. Sun set beach is close to. My daughter took her senior pictures there, fantastic sunsets and lots of nice people. Cabana Club pool & Breezes are alot of fun Sparkey's too, Good food and drinks at both. Key West is close and worth the trip, lots to do there, alot of state parks an beaches close too. I wouid recomend this home to everyone. I will be back next yaer only home three day's and kids already making plans for next year. Thanks again for letting me and my family stay at your home. We all enjoyed it very very much.

We enjoyed our stay as well as the 2 couples that joined us. There was a little confusion at the Cabana Club but it was resolved. The weather was great & the kitchen was well equipped. We will consider going again.

Quiet, and convenient

We enjoyed our stay at 201 11st. This was our 4th year staying in the middles keys area, but our first at Key Colony. The photo of the house and canal are a bit deceiving. The canal is larger than it appears, was clean, and the perfect place to keep our boat. We spent many evenings in the back yard area enjoying the weather and a bit of fishing. The house was nice. For us, our older children had their own space on the lower level to stretch out and escape. I found the kitchen large and adequately stocked with cookware and utensils. We had plenty of room to have several cooks in the kitchen simultaneously, and often took advantage of the gas grill for preparing our days catch. If TV is your thing, the flat screen offers cable to catch whatever you feel you can't miss. You couldn't ask for a quieter spot. The outdoor spaces were nice. The lanscaped yard afforded privacy and beauty. We had most of our meals on the back deck as the view was pleasant and the breezes perfect. Wildlife abounds in the area between the igaunas, birds, and fish. Our boys loved trying to outwit the iguanas. The use of Inch Beach was a pleasant experience. There were several times we were the only visitors. In less than a 3 minute walk from the house you were in the ocean. Sunset Park down the block offers beautiful evening vistas-definitely worth the short walk. We saw a manatee under the dock one morning. Key Colony has several restaurants and bars within easy walking (or biking) distance. The bikes were an added bonus at the house that we all enjoyed. While the house itself isn't newly remodeled, it was clean and well tended. We did have a few small issues but found the owner more than happy to remedy any problem ASAP. I've never seen anyone more responsive. All the appliance are brand new! We chose a less expensive property to stay at so we could spend some of our vacation dollars on a few of the many activites in the area. We went out with a charter captain for a super day of fishing. The diving facilities in Key Colony are great. Be sure to take a glass bottom boat ride to the reef. With Key West and the upper keys within an hour drive there was never a time we couldn't get to either end in a resonable time. We loved the glass bottom boat at John Pennencamp Park and spent some time canoeing in Curry Hammock. With fishing and the beach, it's our idea of a perfect vacation. We will likely rent this home again.

First time visitor to the Keys. It was an absolutely enjoyable vacation. Key Colony Beach is one of the nicest communities throughout the entire islands. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, and, of course, all of the historical sites in Key West. Our rental property was clean with all the necessities provided for our stay. We would highly recommend this property for rental.

We had a awesome 2 week vacation. The house fit all our needs, was clean and comfortable. Our 2 grandsons were with us for the 2 weeks, and our daughter, son-in-law and their 21month old were down for 4 days. There was plenty of room for everyone and everyone had privacy. The weather was great. It was the 1st time in 25 years of coming to KCB that we had membership to Inch Beach. We enjoyed the quietness there. Thank you Mary and hope to return next Feb.

A Great Family Getaway

Mary, Thank you for a fabulous vacation. The house was perfect, great location - deep water canal, close to Vaca Cut and convenient to several restaurants on the water! We had plenty of room for the whole family, with each couple having their own private sleeping area and plenty of room for all of our gear with both porches. Inch Beach was gorgeous and very convenient and as always we enjoyed the Cabana Club. We really appreciate you and Ed being so readily and conveniently available. We hope to come back next year for mini-season!

We had such a wonderful time at your home it was very hard to pack up and leave! We truly enjoyed every minute of every day,the locuation was perfect, the Cabana Club was such a great place, the beach was beautiful, the house had everything we needed. You really went out of your way to make everything just right, the beach towels, cooler and wine we can't say enough! Our kids loved the fact they had their own "place" to sleep and could stay up and talk but were still close enough to us. They loved the bikes and ride around the town and check out the fish at the docks. We can't wait to come back to your place and will tell everyone we know about your beautiful home.

Thanks so much-we really had a great time-what a lovely little spot in the world. Everything was very nice-Inch Beach was lovely-a very nice feature to have available as part of the house rental-and the bikes were an awesome throw in-we rode them around a bunch. I suspect we will be back and will want to contact you once we figure our when we are coming back and for how long. Best wishes for great success with your home.
