• Montmartre is a village within Paris: it combines the atmosphere of an ancient village with trendy shops and fabulous restaurants. Many artists and movie stars live in the district.
• Avenue Junot is called the 'Champs Elysees of Montmartre' because of its width. It is the place of residence of many of the show-biz, entertainers
• As you walk through Montmartre you will pass many winding and picturesque streets with fascinating houses, stairs and wonderful views over Paris. Look for the Montmartre Vineyard, walk to 'Place du Tertre' where artists will offer to draw your portrait and see Picasso’s house and the Salvador Dali museum. Visit the famous Sacre-Coeur Moorish-looking church.
• On the 'Rue des Abbesses' you will discover shops, cafes and clothing stores and in 'Rue Lepic' you will come across the market, wine shops - the cheese shop was rated n° 3 in France – bakeries and charcuteries. It’ll take a few days to select your preferred “café” !!! Walk down to the Moulin Rouge and experience the Paris nightlife.
• On the north side, close to the “Lamarck” metro station is the famous Rue du Poteau Market as well as quaint antique shops.
• The Champs-Elysees is only a ten-minute Metro ride, the Eiffel Tower, Le Marais, Les Halles, and Saint-Germain are all between 15-20 minutes from Abbesses.

Spacious and Comfortable!
Spacious and Comfortable!
We had a wonderful experience in this beautiful Paris apartment! Here are our positives: *We found it to be a very reasonable cost. *Large, upgraded, airy space. *Clean. *It is beautiful furnished. *Comfortable beds! *This apartment is in a GREAT location- in Montmartre- there are great restaurants and sites within walking distance! *It is only a 5 minute walk to the metro. We had a few concerns (These this not negatively impact our stay): 1. We found the washer/dryer challenging to use (not similar to American type) 2. The pick up and drop off of keys at another location, if you don't have a car, it requires the taxi to stop and as you are arriving and leaving as it is not within walking distance with luggage 3. When we asked for light bulbs to be replaced, they told us we had to bring the keys back to the check in place as they did not have an extra set of keys for maintenance people. 4. Since we do not speak French, we e-mailed the owner to request assistance in arranging for a taxi to the airport. They told us there would be a charge to arrange for the taxi (this was not the case in Rome or Florence where we had just come from and had also stayed in VRBO rentals).

The apartment was just as described. Just before our arrival we received word that the room divider doors had malfunctioned and would not be available for use; a small issue and we appreciated the notice. The apartment was very clean and comfortable (with possibly the best shower in Paris!). The location is perfect for exploring Paris. The neighborhood is mostly residential and just far enough down the hill to avoid the rush of tourists at the top. However, it was fun to walk up the hill in the evening to enjoy the view and crowds of happy visitors (not to mention dessert!). It is really a carnival every night! It's a bit noisy at night due to a small, popular cafe on the next corner..but, in our opinion, typical and to be expected...it is part of the neighborhood (good noise...people having a good time!). Be prepared for some climbing. Montmartre is a fairly large 'hill'. But, buses and the Metro are very close by and the extra effort is great for burning off all of the wonderful food close by (including a bakery that is TOO close...forget your diet!). The apartment was very well equipped and we took full advantage of the kitchen for preparing some meals when we were staying close to "home" after long days exploring. Great to have a full working, well equipped kitchen! If you are worried about the lack of central air during a summer stay, don't be concerned, the apartment is like a wind tunnel! We had to put stoppers against the interior door to keep them from slamming shut! Wonderful to sleep with the windows wide open. So, if you want to feel like you are living in a Paris neighborhood (which is our goal in most cities we visit in Europe), and you want the convenience of a great 'base camp' for your Paris adventure, you cannot go wrong with this property. Lastly, the service from the rental agency was superb...all of the pertinent information was received via email before our travel. Lease documents and payment were seamlessly handled. A sign of a successful vacation lease: we never had a need to speak to the agency during our stay!! Another positive sign: it was soooo difficult to leave! We will always have very fond memories of Montmartre. Thank you, Jean-Noel.

The apartment was wonderful and so very convenient. The beds were fantastic even the pull out, we all slept so well! It was well appointed and had everything we needed. The only inconvenience was the lack of soap and dishwasher capsules. I am sure this would not be a significant cost to yourselves but yet so convenient for guests. I can't say enough about the rain shower I couldn't wait to get up in the morning and enjoy the rain shower head. Unbelievable how hot he water was coming out of the faucet. We loved it! Thanks for the wonderful accommodations.

A wonderful time in a lovely flat
A wonderful time in a lovely flat
Thank you so much--the flat was lovely, and we had a wonderful time. It was comfortable and in a great location. It was walking distance from metros and was fairly close to the famous Montmartre. There were a lot of boulangeries, super markets and restaurants, which made living here very convenient. I will definitely contact you again for next year and have recommended it already to friends traveling to Paris.

Best on the Butte
Best on the Butte
A beautifully updated and freshly decorated apartment on a famous street of Montmartre. The kitchen appliances are excellent and it is well equipped for casual meals or entertaining. The bedroom is very comfortable and the bath is first class. Enjoy a breakfast at home and watch the tourists walk by down in the street as they look at the beautiful architecture of Montmartre. The apartment's furnishings are spartan but sometimes less is more. You will find the manager very helpful and he ensures a quality stay for two or even four persons.

A terrific apartment
A terrific apartment
Simply a terrific apartment! Well-placed, quiet, comfortable, well-appointed, big enough for guests. Two minutes to a grocery store, a bakery a half a minute farther, a café next door, Delphine’s Café de la Butte restaurant half a block up the street. Taxis, buses, and Metro moments away, but not in front of the apartment. The bed is BIG and comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need and very little you don’t need. And possibly the best shower in Paris!

Perfect apartment in a fantastic area
We were very delighted with our stay in Apartment Leandre. The apartment was perfect, your assistance with getting there & leaving was MOST helpful and knowing that you were there should we need anything was very reassuring. Montmartre was a fantastic area and we loved every minute we were there. We hope to stay again during our next visit to Paris.
