About the owner: Carl and Nessie Zitlau are long-time farmers/ranchers of this property. Carl's grandfather homesteaded on the Granite Creek Ranch, a few miles down the road. Over time, more acreage has been added, and the Aspen Hills Retreat is now a part of the ranch. We have 7 grown children and 7 grandchildren, all of whom love coming to the area to work and play. A few of our children even own their own cattle and run them with ours on the forest for summer pasture.
Why the Owner Chose Swan Valley:
The land adjacent to Granite Creek Ranch became available some years ago and now our cattle herd grazes the fields. We saw an opportunity to share the beauty of this exceptional 'corner of the world' with others, so are opening up the Aspen Hills Retreat to families and other groups for their vacations, retreats and reunions.
