  This condo was everything my husband and I could have wanted for our honeymoon. The view was spectacular, the furniture was comfortable, the unit was clean, the kitchen items were practical, and the A/C worked perfectly (which was important for two Alaskans). This condo is so comfortable and has a homey feel. My husband is an early riser, so every morning he would open the linai doors so that I would wake up to the sound of the ocean crashing right below the window. The bed and couch are very comfortable. The location of this condo couldn't be better. You can walk right from the condo lobby into the ocean. Snorkeling out front was good, but there are many great locations only a ten minute drive from the condo. Front street and all the Lahaina attractions are only minutes away. There is a grocery story within walking distance and a beach side bar at the resort next door. Working with the owner of this wonderful unit was a pleasure and before arriving we already felt very confident we chose the right unit for our first trip to Hawaii. You can't go wrong with this unit!

  Our family still dreams about our visit to the Maui Kai in June 2010. One of the major plus' about this unit is its location to the ocean. I felt like I was on a cruise ship sitting on the lanai! We loved watching the turtles while we ate our meals. My son and daughter still talk about how cozy they slept in the punees. It was perfect for two kids (12 and 15) who don't like to sleep with one another. The tempurapedic beds are what set this condo apart from all of the others for us since that is what we sleep on at home. We loved being on the 2nd floor and having the choice of running down only one flight of stairs (elevator is kind of slow). We rarely saw any other guests so we felt like we nearly had the place to ourselves. Our daughter who needed a little more action at times used the pool at the resort next door once or twice. It had lots of action and loud music by the poolside too! We prepared most of our meals in the condo, but had dessert "Hula Pie" at Dukes just down the beach several times. (It is a don't miss!) The grocery store was very convenient and only a short walk or drive from the condo. The condo had everything we needed. We used the small ice chest provided to pack sandwiches for our day trips. We even left our boogie boards we purchased to share with other guests. We enjoyed the path that goes along Kaanapali beach several times in the morning and evening. We loved the ping pong table and even came home and got our own. My son and husband enjoyed Kaanapali's golf course several times during the week giving my son a very reasonable junior rate. The owner John was extremely helpful and great to work with. I followed his advice and got the book "Maui Revealed" which was extremely helpful. To sum it up, we are big fans and would not travel to Maui and stay anywhere else. Thank you, John and Janet, for sharing this condo with us! Over a year later I am still feeling like it is also my home away from home!

  Stayed here with my wife and two teen age kids. Well equipped condo with a very nice Tempurpedic matteress. The door has a large vent that can be opened along with the lanai which gives a great breeze, we never really needed the AC (in July). The condo is very well equipped, there was nothing we needed that wasn't there. There is a nice pool/cabana/grill area with a ping pong table, lots of board games and books. Laundry room across the hall was convenient as well.

  We feel so fortunate to have booked your condo for this visit to Maui –– it has been everything our family could hope for. The views are incredible and the location is great. We saw whales and some honu playing in the ocean, and we enjoyed the quick access to the beach. Our daughters (4.5 and 2) really loved the heated pool, too. The condo truly felt like a home away from home. It was furnished with everything we needed for our stay. There were so many thoughtful touches for the kids –– from the step stool in the bathroom to the extra mattress "play mat" to the punee beds to the block-out curtain to allow the kids to sleep before sunset, everything was very much appreciated. We won't hesitate to book this unit on our next trip to Kaanapali. Thank you again for sharing your home with us!

  I just returned from 10 very relaxing days at this property.The unit was clean, well maintained and the bed comfortable. I especially liked the fact that it is located on the second floor and that the lanai is not separate from the living area. It was very nice to be able to have the sliding doors open for the cooling trade winds and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves; which are literally just below you. Good privacy for reading your favorite book or staring out to sea with your morning coffee; or a sunset and a Mai Tai. It is an easy walk down the beach to some good eateries. Also convenient to a market for groceries if you want to use the kitchen; which I did and found it well equipped. If you have a car it is a short drive to some very nice bays and snorkel spots. If you prefer to walk there is a family friendly beach just a few steps away with excellent snorkeling and boogie boarding. Photos depict the property accurately and I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing a nice, private, relaxing stay.

  Completely beyond satisfied with my stay at this Maui Kai condo. Great ocean views, just a few steps to the sand, and the condo is immaculately clean, open, and comfortable. The beds are grea,t the kitchen is stocked for cooking, roomy closet space. Great location! I will come back to stay here. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a perfect Hawaiian vacation escape.

  We are regular renters of this condo. We go every year. It's very comfortable for two couples. We like it because it's close to stores and fun places to snorkel. We even snorkel out front with the turtles. Our last trip was in February and the whales were visiting. What a great show. You can sit in the room with the window open and watch them jump for hours. We also snorkeled and you could hear the whales talking under water. Very cool. The condo is well maintained and the beds are comfortable. There's great views of the ocean and the islands near by. We love the pool and especially the friendly people at the pool. They have a couple of barbeques down at the pool that everyone shares. We would highly recommend this nice condo. It's a great place to get away from it all. Jeff & Donna

  This place is simply awesome. You are ON the water. I've been here in February, June, August, and each time has been just perfect. The whale show in February is unbelievable. Spring break in June was fantastic for the kids. And when I thought it would be to hot in August, it wasn't at all. There just isn't a bad time of year to come here. The town of Lahaina is minutes away in your car if you want to do some shopping. The morning runs (or walk) on the walkway down to Black Rock are a great way to start any day. Or you can walk a short distance north to start your day with a "Bad Ass" (It's a great little coffee shop) coffee, while sampling the fresh fruit from the outdoor market. Simply put, this place is the perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation.
