Come stay and enjoy this beautiful 1920’s designer owned cottage! This home is about 800 sq. feet of pure beauty and comfort, perfect for a couple or single’s stay in a wonderful Venice neighborhood. The cottage, whose owner has been featured in home and garden magazines and whom has designed for an elite clientèle for over 15 years, is opening her personally designed cottage to the renter who desires to be surrounded by beautiful décor while comfortably staying in an amazing L.A. location! The cottage has an open living room, dining and full kitchen area that includes a microwave and use of all kitchen items. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, flat screen TV and beautiful full bathroom. The second bedroom is a small adorable room with a single bed, dresser and closet. Both beds are of an extremely high quality and there is an abundance of designer linens and towels at your disposal to maximize your comfort! There is the option of setting up a beautiful single day bed in the main living area as well if that is desired.
Beyond the stunning décor and adorable interior of this vintage home, you will experience the luxury of the enormous private back yard. You will be amazed at this private space with its sweeping lawn where antique wicker chaises wait for you to sunbathe and the air is filled with the scent of hundreds of gorgeous roses that surround the yard. Stepping out the back door into this oasis first brings you onto the large deck complete with antique wicker sofas and chairs where you can have your coffee in the morning, take a nap in the afternoon or make your dinner on the gas grill!
This lovely and safe neighborhood is 3 blocks to the famed and trendy Abbot Kinney Blvd (the art hub of Venice) full of shopping, restaurants, cafes, galleries, etc. The short and wonderful walk to Abbot Kinney will expose you to the amazing blend of vintage cottages, craftsman homes and modern Venice architecture, which will only continue as you go slightly further to hit the beach and the Venice Boardwalk. Whatever your reason for stay, you will love coming back to this small oasis whether it be from a laid back day around Venice, a day at the beach, hiking in Malibu or any of the innumerable Los Angeles attractions and areas. The property is 100% dog friendly and with the securely fenced back yard not only are your little ones welcome, but they will appreciate the large outdoor area and can be left outside safely if you choose to go somewhere without them! My wife, two young children and I stayed here for 3 weeks while we were in LA for work. We had a wonderul experience, the house is very well kept and there is an abundance of supplies, it's owner is delightful and very accommadating. The house is a nice pleasant 3 block walk from Abott Kinney and it's a great evening/morning stroll... looking through into some of the venice houses along the streets along the way. The garden is large and has a long sunset, you can sit on the deck and have a few drinks while the sun sets. There are roses everywhere also making the garden very picturesque. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of spending a few weeks in Venice, it's small but bountiful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.
