Our family of five had a delightful time at the Cottage. The location was ideal for exploring the North Shore beaches and Haleiwa town. We had better views from our lanai than most places in Haleiwa town. We went to O'ahu with a list of activities and sights we wanted to see. Instead we switched gears and spent most of our time playing on the beaches and surfing close to the Cottage. Our young children loved playing on "their beach" and searching for sea turtles. Rob and Fe treated us like old friends. They were wonderful hosts. The Cottage was simple and comfortable with a small well stocked kitchen, cable TV and wall A/C untis in the bedrooms. There was a nice BBQ so we could prep our own food and enjoy the spectacular sunsets from the comforts of home. Thanks for the memories!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The cottage was as described and very pleasant. :) We had such an amazing and relaxing time there that I hope to go again soon and stay here again. The Waimea Falls are only 5 mins down and most of the time we just stayed and enjoyed the beach there at the house versus driving to Waikiki. The whole island you can view in a day and plenty to do. I loved seeing the turtles swim up and enjoy the sun as I sat at the breakfast nook and enjoyed my breakfast and lunch. My mother and sons loved it soooo much. Super pleasant! Definitely coming back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is close to the perfect holiday spot if you love the beach. We were so impressed to see seals and turtles on the beach each day. The view is outstanding and those living permanently around this location must have constant smiles on their faces knowing how fortunate they really are. We had six in our party and felt quite comfortable. The cottage supplied ample essentials. The owner was friendly and helpful and so to their assistants in making our stay the best experience possible. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting the experience of the laid back North Shore. We planned our vacation to Oahu last minute and was very fortunate to find the cottage available. There were 6 in our party, three of the six being boys 12 and 8 so a place where everyone could stay together was very important for us. It was late when our flight arrived and even in the wee hours of the night the cottage was easily found. The owners, Rob and Fe, were in town and were beyond nice. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. It was a joy to be their guests! Although small, we found the cottage to be very functional and comfortable. More than enough room for the six of us. We couldn't have asked for more for the price, a wonderful value! Although there is no air conditioning in the main part of the cottage, we found it quite acceptable, just open the windows and let nature do it's job, besides coming from 100+ degree weather with 100% humidity it wasn't missed at all! Our boys loved having unlimited access to the beach, snorkeling and swimming with the sea turtles. Rob and Fe were nice enough to let the boys use their boogie and surf boards, even giving the little Georgia boys a few surf lessons! Foodland is just a short drive from the cottage, which was very convenient, as well as plenty of places to eat and shop. Our flight didn't leave Honolulu until 11:30 p.m and Rob and Fe once again extended their gracious hand of hospitality and told us to stay as late as we needed on our last day, since they didn't have anyone coming in for a couple days. We fell in LOVE with Haleiwa and we owe part of that to Rob and Fe. When we return this will be our one and only choice of places to stay, we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and fulfilling experience:) The only downside to our stay was simply we had to leave! Thank you once again for allowing us as your guests, the memories will be cherished forever! Until we meet again....Aloha & Mahalo!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Excellent find on the North Shore. Ideal setting for exploring everything Oahu has to offer. We hired a car which I would say if you are staying at this cottage is essential. Close to town for supplies but far enough away for it to be peaceful - best of both worlds. Special treat was visiting turtles in the afternoon and this gave it a magical feel. Cottage is very well equipped and comfortable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

A wonderful location for a respite from the 12 feet of snow in Anchorage. We were two couples, early 50's, and had a delightful stay. Didn't feel the need to venture too far as the snorkeling was great right out front as long as the water wasn't cloudy. Grab a cup of coffee and watch the turtles ride the surf. Walk down the beach (you do need to crawl over some rocks) for a 2 mile RT saunter. Sunsets were beautiful. All in all a great location. The necessities are provided - coffee pot, blender, beach towels, and a grill. Foodland is a short drive away. We've shared your listing with a few friends already. We hope to be back again. And the rental agent, Jamie, was great too. Thanks all.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We had the pleasure of staying at the Haleiwa Cottage for 5 days in January. We lover every minute of our time there, including walks on the beach and listening to to the surf. The sea turtles didn't seem to mind us at all. The off street parking was a wonderful bonus as was the cottage's proximity to all North Shore attractions. When we get to return to Hawaii (and we will definitely return), we will certainly book the cottage again. Rob and Fe, the owners, were both friendly and informative. Thanks for sharing your vacation property with us!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Often you never know what to expect when you have to depend on an owner's description of their property. Let me assure you that "The Cottage" is undersold. You will not find a more perfect beach for you and your family on the North Shore. The snorkeling is better than any place we've been on Oahu and we practically had the beach to ourselves the entire week we were there. That is except for the frequent sea turtle visits which happen every day -- they literally crawl out of the water and bask in the sun within feet of you. The Cottage itself is very roomy with a great entertainment system and a kitchen that has everything you need to create great meals during your stay. The nearby town of Haleiwa also has amazing restaurants for the times when you just don't feel like cooking. The washer/dryer came in very handy as well. Needless to say, when we're headed back to Oahu, we'll be back to The Cottage.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the great review! We really appreciate you taking care of the property is if it was your own. And we are so glad that you were happy with your stay. We hope that when you return to Oahu, you decide to stay with us again. You and your family are always welcome! Aloha
