Why the Owner Chose Estes Park
Our business has been under the same ownership since 1947. At the time this property was purchased the upstairs was the home of the store owner below. We have rented it out for years on a 1 year lease basis. But, the size worked against us due to the renter always sub renting. In 2007, we did a major renovation. Then we were afraid to rent it because it was so new and wonderful. Eventually after all our friends urged us to turn it into a vacation rental, we furnished it and we found out our friends were right! They kept telling us, "Everyone will love it. Turn it into a vacation rental! People love to stay in downtown lofts. People watch out the windows." etc. They were right. It has been very popular. We have used rental agents in the past but now we are going to manage it ourselves. That is why it is so reasonable and why it is taken care of so well. We developed and discovered a step at a time, that this is the nicest loft in Estes Park, and we never even knew we had it.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
The action and activity out the windows makes this place exciting. The fully furnished open kitchen bar and large beautiful hard wood floors makes the place attractive and warm. The knotty pine also gives you a feeling for the mountains history and an earlier time of the business and town. The convenience can't be understated. All or part of your group may come and go often without needing to start up the car. If you get board or curious look out the window and see what is going on below. It is really fun being up there. It is kind of like you are the privileged to be up there. Like you are from town and maybe own the business below and live up there.

We loved this unit! We have rented over 20 different VRBO properties and although it was not the most luxurious, it was 1 of our very favorites! It was the perfect layout with not a bunch of "knick knacks"!! We are a family of 6, children ranging in age from 15-2. The older kids loved the easy access to all of the shops! The only things we would change is: *put a larger T.V. in the living room, *put a king bed rather than a queen bed in 1 or more bedrooms and *somehow get rid of the lingering smells from the shop downstairs. We truely had a wonderful holiday and I am sure we will return to this unit in the future :-)

We had a great time in Estes Park and enjoyed our stay in the downtown loft. The bedrooms were all nice and there was plenty of room for us. We had 7 people stay and really enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient to stay on the main street through downtwn and having our own paking space was great! I think we lucked out with new towels too - they were nice! We took kids ages 6, 8 and 13. They each enjoyed the RMNP and the hikes we went on. Bear Lake, Alberta Falls and traveling on Trail River Road at sunset were each terrific. Many stores and restaurants are within walking distance - we enjoyed Claires for breakfast one day, Dave's BBQ (not within walking distance) was also good. We took an open ride tour up Fall River Road at sunset that was really enjoyable - our tour guide was knowlegeable and friendly. We also drove to Ft Collins for a rafting trip that was very adventerous. Only complaint - we did need to keep the windows open to keep the place cool - which was great to have the fresh air. However, at night the street traffic is a little noisy for those sleeping on the pull out couch. Grand sceme of things, no big deal.
Owner response:This is a very good review. Regarding the night temperature and noise: All the bedrooms are quiet because they are furthur back from the front. We would suggest closing the front thermo pane windows (thermo panes really block out any noise from the street) and opening the kitchen window (it always has a good cross draft. Then use a fan or two (there are lots of fans available) in the back bedroom/s or hall with the back bedroom windows open. Here are the average monthly temperatures for Estes Parks great weather. June July and Augusts monthly averages are High 73 Low 42 (night), High 79 Low 47 (night), High 77 Low 45 (night), respectively. The temperatures in Estes Park are very low especially at night. The town elevation is 7,500 ft.

Location, location, location. The owner said we would enjoy the property and he was right. Right on the main drag. Shopping and all restaurants right outside your door. Centrally located to RMNP. Unit was very clean and spacious. We had 7 adults and 3 children and had plenty of lounging room and beds to sleep. Plenty of linens and kitchen utensils. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay ! As i WAS GETTING A HAIRCUT NEXT DOOR EVEN THE BARBER SAID THIS PROPERTY WAS THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN eSTES PARK. Thanks Ernie for everything !
Owner response:This is said well, from a guests perspective. We are very happy they are satisfied beyond their expectations. We agree with this entire review.

We had a small family gathering at this condo and absolutely loved the space and comfort it provided. Being so close to town we were able to get everywhere we needed without driving. The big living room and dining room provided great areas for reconnecting and enjoying the summer days in Estes. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I will absolutely try to book this place again next time I head to Estes.
Owner response:We agree with this review. Our square footage size is 1,600 square feet.

This property exceeded our expectations. It is conveniently located in downtown Estes Park, walking distance from any and everything you might want and need. The layout of the rental made for maximum privacy because all the bedrooms are separated. The living/dining area was very spacious with great views of the Rockies. We made good use of the ample kitchen which allowed us to eat in when desired. Plenty of parking, quiet, privacy and convenience.
Owner response:We love guest responses because they describe our property so well and from a guests point of view; mentioning their top priorities. Guest reviews help prospective guests understand what they are about to experience.

I had the pleasure of staying in this loft. It was very modern and clean and overlooks the main street of Estes Park. The bedrooms are situated in the back of the unit so it is very quiet as well.I would stay there again in a "heart beat".
Owner response:Guest responses describe our property better than we do. And, we forgot to think of and mention the quiet bedrooms.

Stayed in the loft for a weekend in May. There were 5 of us and we had so much room. We also didn't hear any street noise. Excellent location for shopping. Everything in it's place when we got there and it was so clean. All we needed to bring was our personal items. Would definetly stay there again..

This unit was very roomy and extremely comfortable. Within minutes I felt at home and at ease. It's great being in the middle of town within walking distance of everything. The people watching is great (and private) from the south windows. We had everything there we needed for our stay. It served just as well as a base or as a place to gather and lounge.
Owner response:Future renters, we agree completely with this review. It is a home away from home with 1,600 square feet. Every guest has loved being at our place.

The place is clean as a whistle and very pleasing (its a bunch of subtle things like the warm wood floors and the original cabinets, and real plants, lack of clutter etc.). The location is excellent with views and convenience. The price is very low. This is a top quality place, well designed and spacious, great location and at a bargain price. The kitchen is very well supplied too. I stayed here while my house was being repaired. I loved staying here.
Owner response:Future renters, here is another review we agree with completely. The kitchen is well supplied with all pans, baking dishes, mixing bowls, plenty of plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses, paper towels, knives and cutting boards, flower vases, and silverware. Every single guest has loved it.
