Our family stayed at this beautiful home for five days this Christmas. We ranged in age from five to 65, and it was perfect for all of us. Lisa added Christmas touches, as well as presents for our grandchildren. I would recommend it to any one and every one. THANK YOU, Lisa, for adding beauty, joy and tranquility to our holiday season.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

After an extremely hot summer in TX, we spent 5 heavenly days above Idaho Springs, CO. This property sits above the township and it truly felt like our home away from home. Lisa had everything clean and ready for us. We had three toddlers and this home was spacious and very comfortable for us. We were grateful for the washer and dryer, as well as dishwasher. There were plenty of beds for everyone....it was perfect. Idaho Springs is a great little town, with a Safeway for groceries and two wonderful parks to play with the little ones. We came home rested and relaxed. Thanks, Dentons, for the use of your lovely home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this home for NYE. The first evening there were 5 couples and as many dogs--it did not feel crowded at all! The second night there were only 3 couples. I also had my 17 month old son. The owners were thoughtful and very responsive, the home had nice Christmas accents throughout, and it's very kid and pet friendly. We had an amazing time and would definitely rent again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.

Dear Lisa - my family can not thank you enough for opening your wonderful mountain home to us for the Christmas holiday. We enjoyed the secluded feeling of the cabin. We took day trips to Echo Mountain, Breckenridge and Vale. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all of our traditional favorites. Your hospitality went above and beyond our expectations! The personal touches and your thoughtful attention to detail made our trip one of the most memorable! Our daughter loved every minute of the vacation - particularly because of the ample supply of children's books, toys and games.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-month stay in Idaho Springs! The owners are very accomodating and kind, ready to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The surrounding trees and mountains are breathtaking! It is only a 15-20 minute drive either to Idaho Springs or to nearby Evergreen, close enough to restaurant and shops, but far enough to feel you're right in the midst of the Rockies. We took many hikes around the area, including a hike up Chief Mountain, a clear trail whose summit gives 360 degree views of Pikes Peak & Mount Evans, etc., and only 10 minutes away! We wholeheartedly recommend this property for a weekend family getaway or a long stay like our own.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We are a family of five who enjoys mountain living. Unfortunately, we had to move this past year and miss it terribly.
Why the Owner Chose Idaho Springs:
We designed, built, and lived in the house for 4 yrs. We recently moved due to financial reasons and are renting the house out to pay the mortgage while it is on the market.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love everything about the house. The view, eating all our meals on the deck in the summer time, the great weather, the amazing master bathroom (which we finished of course right when we moved - so haven't been able to enjoy it too much), and just the quietness of the area.
It is so wonderful to take a walk around the 'block' and just be so peaceful.
