  I'm not a person who normally complain about noise. Remember to pack in a pair of ear plugs, you will need it. The noise from the street doesn't stop until 2 AM. The cars are passing by all the time. The Air Conditioning is even louder, unbearable. The view is nice, the location is great. If you don't need sleep and hang out in the bar all night, it's a great choice.

  Owner response: *** The Air Conditioner has been replaced after your stay. We do suggest to our guests who are sensitive to busy city street noise, to sleep with the AC on at night (even if just in fan mode if you don't want the temperature changed). The white noise of the AC muffles the street noise and all guests who have experienced the new AC say they did not have any problem with street noise. I am sorry the inconsistent and loud rumblings of the old AC prevented you from having it on and thus having the same experience that they other guests did. The entire building is scheduled to have all the original trade wind friendly louvered (slat style) windows replaced in the next year or so, which will also help to reduce the sounds you were hearing without the AC running properly. The condo is 150 yds from the Waikiki Beach and surrounded by active people and businesses which, like any tourist and vacation destination in the world, has a drone of city activity noise and I apologize that the AC wasn't in working order during your stay to help muffle city noise like it has for our other guests.
