About this property

CHARM, STYLE, MOUNTAIN VIEWS, NATURE JUST MINS TO DOWNTOWN

Casa De Las Montanas is a truly charming & glamorous townhome w/ vintage appeal in a quiet location. It is a very special place with all kinds of character and great views. The home has just been renovated, is 5 minutes from downtown and convenient to the University of Arizona, but is quiet and private and boasts amazing mountain and desert views. This is a secure and light filled home, with a delightful courtyard with a covered patio. It is not a cookie-cutter, beige box. It has been furnished with a welcoming mix of antiques and art to create a beautiful atmosphere. You are right near downtown, but are on the edge of the Tucson Mountains. Located in a charming neighborhood and a piece of tucson history, it is just west of the downtown area and only a matter of minutes to the Saguaro National Park West. A wide range of great restaurants and shops are on your doorstep, but there is still a sense of space.

The casa has 3 bedrooms & 2 full baths. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with high standard cooking equipment, granite counters and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. The open plan kitchen looks out to the dining area that can seat 8 or more, and the charming, working kiva fireplace. Sliding glass doors lead from the dining area out to the covered patio and enclosed courtyard, encouraging indoor/outdoor living. A unique gated bell tower leads you into the courtyard from the street. You will find the courtyard with its 100 year old saguaro cacti and prickly pear cacti and original mexican saulsolito tiles, is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee, evening margarita or gaze at the star filled night skies.

The bedrooms boast brand new memory foam topped mattresses, fine 100% cotton sheets and lovely furnishings. The master contains a queen and has an en suite bathroom with travertine tiles and plush towels. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and a sweet view of the courtyard, and a travertine tiled bathroom, with a washer/dryer across the hall. The third bedroom has an iron cottage bed with a pull out, pop-up trundle that can be used as two twins or combined together for a king. This room has an absolutely beautiful view to the west of open desert and mountains is a great place to admire the stunning sunsets.

Imagination, style and flare have been used throughout to make our home stand out from the run of the mill, hotel-like settings you find in so much of the Tucson vacation rental market. We independently own and manage the casa, you will not be dealing with an impersonal management company. We have travelled widely and work hard to make sure that all the little details we appreciate in a rental, are available for our guests. We take pride in the place and have many repeat guests, so we must be doing something right!
Broadband wireless and a flat screen HDTV with local and network channels and live streaming Netflix is included. Central air conditioning and tile floors in the main living spaces, will keep you cool and comfy in summer and central heat and the working fireplace will keep you toasty in winter, during our few months when a little heat may be needed. Of course there is a gas grill, so you can barbeque in the courtyard. The house is all on one level and has no steps so it is suitable for all.

There are so many activities on your doorstep. Great golfing, hiking, cultural activities, shopping and dining are all right nearby. There are walking trails through the desert, right across the street. We may be biased, but we think our location is amongst the best in Tucson!

Finding this ‘ gem in the desert ‘ was meant to be. We were right down the road from family members homes and my family loved the condo. The owner was amazing and very prompt in responding. I highly recommend this rental!!!!

Charming, comfortable home
First impression of the property was that it was a welcoming, well-kept home. This impression never changed throughout our stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen adequately stocked with supplies, and the enclosed patio was wonderful for early morning coffee and as it turned out, watching a momma bird and her babies. We appreciated the garage which kept our car out of the hot AZ sun. The location on the western side of town was perfect...close to Gates Pass Road which took us to the Desert Sonara Museum and within a mile of shopping center. The neighborhood was small and quiet with walkable sidewalks.

Charm, Style, Beautiful Mountain Scenery
Lovely home with a stunning Mountain View. Within minutes of downtown, walking trails, and grocery store. Comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen. Large private patio with a lovely pair of morning doves nesting. Jenny the owner is extremely responsive and helpful. If it matters the only TV is located in the master bedroom. Loved our stay!

Great 4 Us!
For many years, our family of four adults (who live in opposite corners of the country) has enjoyed re-connecting in rental homes for a week in winter. Casa de las Montanas provided us with a wonderfully clean, quiet, and comfortable home for our 2018 reunion. And it was convenient! With easy access to stores, restaurants and the varied activities available in downtown Tucson, and the proximity of a neighborhood nature preserve, we always had nearby choices of interesting things to do and places to explore. Our usual preference is to eat in. Jenny's kitchen was absolutely the best-equipped kitchen we have ever encountered in a rental! Like Jenny herself, it was pleasant, efficient, and certainly accommodating. Casa de las Montanas was great for us!
