The LEDLOW is back at Perdido Key, Pensacola, Fl – First beach house east of Eden - just completed triplex - Each one of 3 units has 1920 sq ft, & 480 sq ft deck – total house has 5800 sq ft & 1400 sq ft deck. On the gulf with fabulous views on a 100 ft Perdido Key lot with approximate 150 ft and 300 ft of open sand on either side. The entire beach house has 12 bedrooms, 12 baths, 3 fabulous kitchens with granite countertops, cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances, washer & dryer, multiple ceiling fans, porcelain tile floor throughout, several bathrooms with marble, Flat screened TVs in every bedroom and living room, wireless Internet throughout. One bedroom and bath has handicap facilities. Sleeps up to 30. Perfect for corporate retreats, destination weddings, family reunions. Available April on. Property was recently constructed in 2010, this is the third season, all appliances, building, are new.
This is one of the largest beach houses on the beach, about 5800 sq ft with approx 1400 sq ft of deck, easily accomodates 30 people. Perfect for destinatiion weddings on the beach, receptions at the house, family special occasions, reunions, or corporate retreats.
The Unique Benefits of this House: Peaceful, enjoyable, but everything you could want is within close proximity yet not next door. Home of the blue Angles is about 20 min by car and they frequently have practice sessions.
Although Perido Key is more open and less crowded than surrounding beaches, it is great restaurants, shopping, miniture golf, Tangers outlet shoping Mall, Water world only 15 - 30 minutes away. Or closer to home dont forget the fishing is great off the beach or deep sea.

My husband and I have been staying at Ledlow since December 16 with our oldest daughter who is in a wheelchair. We wanted a long term stay (over a month) right on the beach to getaway from the Midwest for part of winter and look for a permanent home in the Pensacola area. This has been our home away from home and it has been peaceful and relaxing every day. Our two younger college-age daughters stayed here for the holidays and the boyfriend of one also joined us for a couple of days. There was plenty of room in this one unit for everyone to have their own space a be comfortable. We have had to make some adjustments for our wheelchair bound daughter, since she can get around by herself and she drives, so the gravel in the parking area has been a challenge and we had to build a little ramp over the threshold to the deck. But for most handicapped people who are either in power chairs or have speed chair skills - or for those who are pushed by others and have some ability to walk - there would be no issues. Plus - we have been able to have our two little dogs with us here and have plenty of space to walk them where we can easily pick up after them. The house is very, very family friendly with furnishings and flooring that is easy care. The kitchen is very well equipped - we didn't really need to bring anything with us. There's even a blender and mixer and tupperware! If you have a family reunion coming up - this is the place for you! All three 4 bedroom units can be opened up to join together with connecting doors. Best of all I think is that every bedroom has its own bathroom. It's like having four hotel rooms in one space! We highly recommend!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

Hi, my wife and I, along with 3 more middle aged couples rented the Ledlow #2 for an extended Labor Day getaway. The pictures did not do the house justice. The house was perfect for all 4 couples. We had plenty of space to talk, laugh, and catch-up on old times. Every couple had there own bedroom with bathroom which was great. ( There were no bunkbeds or twin beds.) THAT WAS FANTASTIC!!! Everybody was extremely comfortable. We are seriously talking about repeating every year from now on. Most importantly, the owner made himself available to communicate with. We appreciate Samuel very much. Thank you.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

I have stayed at the pre-Katrina Ledlow and for the first time since 2005, this past August (2010). The Ledlow far exceeded my expectations. We have a family of 30 (10 families) and rent all 3 units. We range from under 1 year of age to 88 years of age and the Ledlow(s) were perfect for all age groups. The sleeping accomodations were great, the description was very accurate and I am very happy that the Ledlow is back. The kitchen accomodations were plenty ample. We will continue to stay at this unit every year. We did not have any maintainence issues but were called a few days into our stay to inquire about the accomodations. I would recommend the Ledlow to any family wanting this type of vacation and actually I have recommended it. I personnally do not take in activities outside of the beach, but my siblings with children did and found easy access to those. A few of my siblings went out to eat and that too was easily accessible. We do go to the grocery every day and those accomodations were nearby (as is mass). I feel that the Ledlow was very reasonble and BEAUTIFUL! I am glad it is back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

About the owner: Semi retired, owned property for almost 30 years, the original Ledlow was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. We live in New Orleans so after Katrina, we dealt with all of the Katrina problems for several years. Finally we could see the light at the end of the tunnel and decided to rebuild the beach house. We purchased our original place over 30 years ago, then Perdido Key was relative undeveloped. Now although there is more development, it is positive - supermarkets, shopping, all near by but not next door. How many beach houses have 300 ft undeveloped beach on one side and 200 ft on the other, not to mention our 100 ft in the center.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We purchased this property because of the pristine nature of its snow white beachs, and low popupation density; the original beach house was destroyed by Ivan. We completed building its replacement which we love. We like the area because it is low key, most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, yet there are shopping, restaurants, supermarkets, entertainment close by. Property has no buildings on either side so you really feel like the beach is yours yet you are not isolated.
