  This was my family's second stay at "The Cabin" and we expect there will be many more. We have found it to be everything we have wanted: very handicap friendly, clean & well maintained, easy check-in and check-out, excellent value, great location, very comfortable accommodations, friendly/helpful property managers, kid friendly, peaceful/quiet, and supplied with all the necessities. "The Cabin" definitely receives a strong recommendation.

  It is so nice to come into a cabin that is spotlessly clean, and nicely decorated. We have stayed in lots of cabins in the Big Bear area. We will definitely be coming back to this one! This is a great cabin, the owners thought of so many nice conveniences. Each of the 3 bedrooms, has it's own bathroom and the beds are comfy. The owners and property managers are very nice, friendly and easy to work with. We played pool, sat outside on the deck, watched TV and went fishing. Each bedroom has a TV and there was even a Wii. There is plenty of room to park a boat and trailer as well as a couple of cars. The backyard is fenced with a connecting, fenced, dog run on the side of the house. This cabin is accessible & friendly. We have several friends that need wheelchair accessible vacation places and we have contacted them to recommend this cabin. The cabin has primarily hardwood or tile floors making it easy to move around in a wheelchair or with a walker. The roll-in shower is huge and the bathroom large. There are two sinks in the kitchen, one is accessible. There is enough space in the kitchen for someone that uses a wheelchair to be able to move around fairly easily. Like I said, the owners thought of everything. Thank you for the welcome basket and wonderful time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  This cabin is perfect. The location is great, there is a lot to do in the area. The photos don't do this place justice. The common area is a great place to hang out and relax. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The place is clean and maintained very well. Would definitely recommend this place.

  We are grateful to have found a beautiful cabin that will accomodate my 81 year old father who is in a wheelchair. The home is truly accessible - he was able to play pool with his grandson, get in and out of the bathroom with ease, and move around the house. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday there, and look forward to returning. The property managers made the rental process easy, and they made us feel very welcome. Thanks again. Please add a transfer bench in the shower! Thank you!

  We just returned from our trip to "the Cabin" and we had a wonderful time. Michal and Katarina (the property managers) were wonderful to work with! The cabin was clean upon our arrival, and we were even able to get in a little early with a same day change over! The ammenities were as described and for our young family, a fantastic sledding hill was but a five minute walk away! We will be back. Thanks again!

  We have stayed at The Cabin twice in the past two years. Our family has always had a great time making new memories and sharing old ones. The Cabin is perfect for couples, families and anyone else looking to enjoy all the best that Big Bear has to offer. Everything you would want to do is close and easy to get to. You will not be disappointed.

  We just returned from our second stay at "The Cabin". This time we went up with another couple, who also loved their stay. Upon entering the cabin, you can tell how well maintained, roomy and beautiful it is. The cabin has everything you will need in the kitchen. We thank Bob and Donna (owners) for allowing us to bring our dogs. We all enjoy the surrounding areas for morning walks. Also, hiking in the area is perfect. For the gentleman that was concerned about us showering our dogs in the shower on the previous visit, please do not worry. We only rinsed the snow off their legs and we brought our own towels to dry them and wipe down the tile floor afterwards. Also, our dogs are show dogs and have hair that does not shed. We are very responsible pet owners and are very grateful to be able to stay at such an immaculate cabin. Michal and Katerina (managers) were so gracious in letting us check in early. Also, they are close by if we needed anything...which we didn't. We love this centrally located cabin so much, that it will definitely not be our last visit!

  My husband & I stayed at the cabin with my brother, sister in law and there 2 small children. When we first walked into the cabin we were amazed at how beautiful it was. The pictures shown are exactly what you get and more! The accomodations are great & the cabin is well stocked with everyday items that you might need (dishes, extra linens, etc.) Management was very kind and friendly upon arrival and made us feel very welcome! The cabin has a beautiful deck that we spent most of our time on and it is located on a quiet street with freindly neighbors. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is thinking of staying in Big Bear! Absolutely worth it!

  Since sustaining a spinal cord injury and being confined to a wheelchair about a year ago I have not taken my family on an overnight trip,which is something we used to do quite frequently. Three teenagers don't really like to sit around at home much. After a little internet searching on handicap accessible lodging we came across "The Cabin" in Big Bear. We are so thankful that we did! "The Cabin" was absolutely beautiful and perfect for anyone who is considering a mountain trip. It is perfect for anyone with special needs (which is not easy to find in the mountains). For myself everything was very spacious,wide open,and accessible. From the completely roll in shower to the roll under sinks I couldn't have asked for more. "The Cabin" also has many activities to do inside for kids and adults and is centrally located for Big Bear's outdoor activities,shopping, and restaurants. I could go on and on about this place but I would like to close in saying that anyone considering a mountain getaway look no farther,this is the spot.The price is reasonable as well! P.S. I would also like to add a special thanks to Michael(the property manager)and his wife for keeping the place so clean and beautiful and for being so helpful and available to us.We are coming back! Thanks Michael!

  What a beautiful cabin. I am in a wheelchair full time and found the cabin to exceed my expectations for accessibility. The roll in shower was awesome. We had a great time. We had a great time fishing and enjoyed the shops at Big Bear Village. The weather was a bit warm and there was no AC in the cabin, but we just opened the windows and door in the morning and evening to keep the cabin cool (Nothing like the 106 degrees it was in my home in Ripon while we were here). I have searched high and low for a cabin that is wheelchair accessible with little luck. I would recommend this cabin to anyone confined to a wheelchair. I am looking forward to returning in a couple of weeks for a retreat. I will be staying here again. maybe a winter trip next time!!!
