We arrived Thanksgiving Day and how awesome! It was our first hawaii vacation and I was nervous about having everything we needed for a complete vacation but Sandi, the manager, assured me all we would need was clothes and food and was she right! Everything I anticipated needing in the condo was there - kudos to the owners! We had the most tranquil vacation - with a high stress job I so appreciated the zen quality of the surroundings and such a quick jaunt to beaches, etd.We will definiently be back and thank you for a great vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The condo was ideal – great location, set-up, and views of golf course, ocean, and sunsets. The location in Waikoloa Village provided a peaceful base from which to explore Kona, Hiwa, Hilo, and surrounding areas. Dave's Coffee Shack next to the post office is fun, and the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi at Banjy's Bar and Grill was delicious (and very modestly priced in a casual atmosphere). The condo is nicely decorated and equipped, and very well maintained . We will definitely return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Just after arrived to our vacation home, that is A205, we applaud very much because your rental rooms are nicely arranged, for instanse, furnitures have all good taste as if you lived here your selves not to rent to someone else. Also kitchen equipments are all perfect so that my wife Yasuyo and my daughter Eiko are cooking with pleasure ! So we deeply impressed with your attitude to guests. Especially my wife is enjoying her staying so she already decided next stay, that is your A205 ! Yesterday evening we went to Merriman's market cafe for dinner and today afternoon my daughter enjoyed swimmng in pool using Jacuzzi. Mahalo, AkimitsuDid you find this review helpful? It was our great luck and pleasure to be the first guests in this lovely, very comfortable condo when my husband and I and our two adult daughters visited in March, 2010. We are a family who enjoys cooking for each other and, as we had other family members also staying in Waikoloa Fairways complex, it was such a delightful experience to have the well appointed kitchen. The condo was spic & span upon our arrival, with a large lovely fruit basket to enjoy during our stay. We had no issues with bugs of any kind. The beds were new and very comfortable, a most appreciated amenity when traveling. Pool/beach towels were also appreciated. While the condo is not real close to any beaches, it is only a short drive to reach them. The pool is only a few steps away for sunbathing and quick dips or time in the hot tub. The lanai overlooks the golf course as described and contributes to the very relaxing atmosphere of the condo. One of our "must visit" restaurants each time we are visiting Kona is Merriman's in Waimea. While rather spendy, the food is marvelous and the service is wonderful. We also enjoy the informality of Humpy's downtown in Kona, as well as the Fish Hopper down on Alii Drive (we had the most incredible Mongchong fish there). If driving over to the Hilo side of the island, be sure and try out the French Creperie, Le Magic Pan. It is most delicious, but be aware that a half order of the main dish crepes is plenty to fill the average person. We had the lemon crepe for dessert and it was out of this world, but wish we had ordered a whole one of those. One of the Kona businesses we found very interesting, but kind of expensive, was the Seahorse Aqua farm - a very interesting and educational tour. We have stayed in other condos in this complex, but this was by far the nicest and we look forward to staying there again on future trips to Kona. Kudos to Roger & Colleen for creating a "home away from home" that they are sharing with others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your review, we really appreciate you taking the time. I just returned from there and made a few other minor improvements. The buildings are currently being painted. Both Sandi and Darrell are doing good, though Sans hasn't slowed down any. Best Regards, Colleen and Roger

About the owner: Between the two of us we have been traveling to the islands for nearly four decades. We were married on the Island of Maui in 2008. My husband, a commercial fisherman, lives to fish. I live and work for retreats to the islands to experience the warmth, tropical breezes and the numerous number of activities that avail themselves in this tropical climate. Aloha and Mahalo for reading...Roger and Colleen, Southeast, Alaska.
Why the Owner Chose Waikoloa Village:
We wanted to invest in an area that was quiet, had trade winds, less VOG, that felt neighborly --where the folks were friendly and inviting. We believe we found it at Waikoloa Fairways and hope you'll agree should you decide to share our home and experience it for yourselves.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Totally relax and enjoy the ocean view while sipping your favorite beverage as you watch golfers stroke on by. Located on Hole 3. We find it very quiet, about five degrees cooler and much less humid than on the beach. Only an easy 10 minute drive to the best beaches on the island. Nearby shopping, nearby restaurants, nearby award winning resorts. Yet, just 30 minutes to the airport and 40 minutes to Costco and Kailua-Kona.
