A short bike ride to the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge with several hiking trails on the pristine refuge which protects the state's only undeveloped salt pond. See turtles, piping plover, swans, other wild life. Walk to basketball and tennis courts, playground set at the park just up the street.
Take a day trip to Block Island from via the Point Judith Ferry, visit Newport Mansions, See live summer theater at the Matunick's Theatre By The Sea, Visit casino's 35 miles away at Mohegan Sun and Mashuntucket Casino in Southeastern CT or visit Mystic Seaport.
