  What a quaint little hideaway! After battling Nor'easter Nemo up in Boston, this was the perfect getaway spot. The property is beautifully maintained, the cottage is clean, bright, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and adorned with quality appliances and fixtures. The pool is steps from your door and refreshing. The property is perfectly located close enough to the popular Duval Street yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle where you can completely relax. You are a short walk to the excellently eclectic Flaming Buoy Filet Co. and El Siboney Restaurants. Sushi lovers do not miss Ambrosia on Simonton Street (near Duval) and Thai Island on Palm Avenue. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that Kari is the perfect host! We will be back! Paul & Fran

  We had an absolutely awesome trip. The accomodations were wonderful. The place was clean and extremely comfortable. Kari was great and extremely helpful. We felt safe, sound and very welcome. The apt. was a 10 minute walk to everything...Duval, beaches, Hemingway house. The deck and pool are great additions to the studio apt. She provided a list of restuarants close by that were favorites of hers and "off the beaten" path which were great. We went parasailing in the morning and did a sunset sail using Sebago tours and it was terrific and affordable. I will definitely look Kari up to do another trip which I hope will be in 2013. I miss the Keys and Kari's place already, this was truly a place I want to return to and a trip to remember. Thanks Kari...wishing you a very Happly Holiday from PA!

  We stayed for jut a few days in February. It was lovely, close to all old town has in store. Updated everything. great outdoor space. Lovely hostess. We plan to come back fir a week as soon as we can.

  Whenever I long for the perfect place to leave behind the stress of modern day life, a spot to relax and still have access to charming cafes, plays, quiet walks through quaint streets and high adventure on the sea, I come back here again and again. Tucked away in old town Key West, this cottage offers the best of authentic Key West living. With an up-to-date spotless kitchen and huge beautiful bathroom, there is ample room for two people. I love the table on the deck where I can write or read, and the adjacent dip pool for cooling off, especially at night while gazing at the stars. One can walk or bike to nearly everything including my favorite restuarant, "Salute," at Higgs Beach, the main drag Duval Street and Historic Harbor for art gallaries, bars and restuarants. I love the Schooner Wharf Bar, Hogs Breath Saloon, the Red Barn Theater, and the performances and artist booths on Mallory Square during the nightly Sunset Celebrations...For special excursions I recommend scuba trips, kayaking in the mangrove back country, or taking the Freedom Ferry or sea plane to Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas National Park, and for the best beach in town, Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. If you are not a walker or biker, there is a space for parking in front of the cottage. I strongly recommend purchasing a local artist-made item for a momento of your stay. Owner Kari, makes my stay the best.. She continues to improve, update, prune, plant, grow, build and welcome her guests with enthusiasm and grace....I have traveled in the Keys for more than 20 years and would always choose this place first as it represents the true spirit of the Key West community.

  The space was exactly as advertised. The cottage in the back of the property was like an oasis. It was quiet and a perfect place to relax. The deck is quite large and you could get the sun all afternoon for lounging on very comfortable chairs. The pool looks small on the photos but is actually very spacious. The outside table was a perfect place to have coffee or eat a dinner in. The cottage felt much larger than 300 square feet. There was everything in the cottage that we needed to either cook a meal " at home" or just hang out by the pool. Kari lives in the front of the property and was extremely respectful of our privacy. We had rented a car and drove from Miami and we did use it most of the time. There was off street parking. Kari was very helpful with suggestions and a lot of fun. It was a perfect vacation and we hope to go back soon.

  We stayed there in January, and could not find another place to stay, and were going to need to stay 2 miles outside of Old Town. Instead, we were so glad to find this place. The place was immaculate, very nicely detailed - with a travertine bathroom and granite countertop kitchen. It was very spacious for my husband and me. We rode our bikes all over town, ate each type of food fare, and stopped at a few bars along the way. Kari, who owns the place, was so sweet and easy to work with. We now keep in touch with her and are glad to have had the opportunity to stay at her beautiful cottage.
