Crosswinds Villa is awesome The view is breathtaking. The villa and pool was just what I needed to totally relax. Gena met our party at airport and escorted us to villa. St Thomas is great. Meagan`s Beach is the most beautiful I have been to. The villa had all the essentials and more for an enjoyable vacation. There were times I stayed alone and I felt perfectly safe Plenty of linens and other essentials were provided. The management were the best. Gena and her husband were there if there were a question about anything. I will be returning to Crosswinds againRecommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I recently stayed at Crosswinds and absolutely loved it! The house is amazing and the views truly breathtaking. It sits on a cliff overlooking the atlantic and over the course of our stay we saw 4 whales breaching right in front of the villa! The mstr bdrm is very large and has 2 sliding glass doors facing the water (every room in the house has sliders facing the water). There was nothing better than lying in bed at night listening to the waves crashing below, or waking up in the morning to the sun rising over nearby islands. There were also so many great “viewing” spots that we developed a routine of coffee in one spot each morning, lunch in another and dinner on the upper deck. Oh, and evening cocktails in yet another spot! The yard is equally as breathtaking – fruit trees, hummingbirds, all kinds of tropical plants and flowers. The stairway leading down through the property was lit up each night when we’d arrive home from our travels making us feel like we were in a tropical paradise. I must admit that we found it hard to leave the villa. While we did try to get out to sight-see most mornings, our afternoons were typically spent in and around the pool area. The Peterborg area is extremely quiet and a great place for morning or early evening walks. We took several walks out to the point where you can watch the waves crashing over the rocks, or along Magen’s Bay where the water is quite peaceful (though this side can get quite warm starting early as there isn’t usually the breeze you get on the atlantic side.). Magen’s Beach is a short drive from the villa and is quite beautiful. It has a beach bar and rentals (chairs, kayaks, etc.). Our favorite beaches were Secret Harbour (great snorkeling), Sapphire, Lindquist and, of course, Platform Beach which is a small, fairly secluded beach close to the villa that Crosswinds has access to. We did the day trip (car ferry) to St. John one day as well. It was super easy and just a short 20 minute ride on the ferry. If you go, leave via Red Hook. Restaurants we enjoyed were Caribbean Fish Market, Oceana, Old Stone Farmhouse, Northside Bistro (great live piano and/or jazz music), and Island Time Pub which has great pizza. Fun night spots: Duffy’s Love Shack and Iggie’s Beach Bar but, again, we mostly enjoyed going back to the villa at night, looking up at the stars from the deck and listening to the sounds of the waves below us. I can’t wait to get back to this property!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed at Crosswinds in July and loved the property. There are picture-perfect views of the ocean from every room in the house. The decks located around the house provide unlimited places to sunbathe, have a meal, enjoy a drink or just relax and listen to the waves. While the house has air-conditioning in every room, we left the doors open to the master suite every night so that we could hear the waves crashing below and there was always a breeze to keep the house comfortable. We spent a great deal of time in the pool enjoying views of the ocean during the day and stargazing at night. The property behind the house is a beautiful tropical garden with fruit trees, many kinds of flowers and cute cottage with the third bedroom. We loved the outdoor shower off the master suites which provides a great view to the end of Peterborg point. The kitchen is beautiful and complete with everything you need. The dining area has a large table for a nice meal. While we rarely used them, there are flat screen TVs and DVD players with Dish Network in the living room and each bedroom. The wireless internet also made it easy to search dining and entertainment options when we needed to. We would get up most mornings, make coffee and take a walk through the neighborhood to Peterborg Point. Most afternoons we would go to Platform Beach which is a beautiful nieghborhood beach on Magens Bay less than 5 minutes from the house. Charlotte Amaille is a 10 minute drive away for great shopping and food options. Rd Hook also provides great options for a fun night out with many bars and restaurants. We also really enjoyed the Old Stone Farmhouse which provides a 5-star dining experience just a few minutes from the house. A day trip to St John is a must (Trunk Bay is beautiful). We will definitely return.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
