Key West private home right on the water - family owned for three generations. Just a few doors down from Jimmy Buffet's home (on the same street). It is the former home to WWII war hero Admiral Edward McCarthy, the former mayor of Key West (Mayor Alan Cleare), and the former District Attorney (Alan B. Cleare). This home is right on the water directly next to the serene, gorgeous, and undisturbed salt ponds (on the Atlantic Ocean channel). ThIs street offers the only unobstructed view in Key West. Start your morning on one of our sea kayaks drifting through the mangrove tunnels into the salt ponds that house dozens of species of protected birds. Or start it off with a morning swim in the ocean or the pool. Dock your boat (rentals just down the canal) directly behind the home and take in a sunset in the middle of the ocean. Watch the sun rise and set as you sit out back by the new pool looking at the glisten of the sun on the water. Fish directly off the stone deck out back and catch...
...anything from snapper to parrot fish to grouper. Throw them right on the grill and have dinner by the water. While you eat, look out for Manatee that commonly swim by with their babies and like to stop by for lettuce and fresh water. Feel free to jump in and swim with them right in your own backyard. They are extremely docile. You will never feel more relaxed after a few days at the home commonly called the Dragon Fly and you will be counting the days for when you can return.
