We love our home and it means a lot to us to read that our guests appreciate it. All the planning and hard work we have put into our home over the years is worth it when we receive these excellent reports. It is a pleasure to have such wonderful guests.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Everything was perfect for our stay. We are women of all ages, most of whom are related. We rent a house every year and this house received a perfect recommendation from all of us. We loved the house, the studio, and the "small house". The pool was the right temperature st all times. The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. You will enjoy every part of your vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

Friends and I rented this house for a long wedding weekend. None of us had been to Sonoma before so of course we were excited to visit the wineries and enjoy the wedding festivities. Turns out we had a very hard time leaving the property. Toughest decision of the day was choosing to either relax in the sunny front yard’s lavender garden by the fountain (not pictured) or in the huge tree covered backyard by the pool. You are truly in your own secluded fantasyland as you pass through the front gate. The owners welcomed us into their home with a bottle of wine and were more than helpful before and during our stay. Stop looking at other properties and call to see if this one is available ASAP!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are always pleased when guests enjoy our home. We have been fortunate to have lovely guests. Many of them have complained that our pictures do not do our property justice. I guess we will have to add some more pictures one of these days. We have recently redone a one room cabin on the property which everyone loves. Folks should remember that September and October are perfect months in Sonoma.

We spent the holiday weekend here with our children and grandchildren celebrating a 60th birthday. This home truly is even more wonderful than the photos depict! Spacious and welcoming, private and serene, beautifully designed and maintained, we could not have envisioned a more perfect setting to gather together with family. Everything about the property worked to make this happen--the openness of the living areas, the comfortable and well provisioned kitchen, the many lovely outdoor spaces (pool, hottub, front and back yards, firepit). The owners were responsive and helpful. The location is perfect in relation to acitivities in the wine country, though we rarely left since we were so happy luxuriating at what felt immediately like home. We look forward to returning.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We are building on outdoor, custom, gas fire pit on the deck outside the family room/kitchen. This element will bring a coziness to the evenings: sit outside and look at the stars. No need to hassle with a log. Just push a switch. Will be finished by May. We know our guests will enjoy it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We rented this house for a long weekend with two other couples. The property is fantastic and the pictures do not do it justice. It’s situated at the end of a cul de sac behind a gated entrance. Once you enter the property, you will immediately feel private and secluded. The back of the property is on a ravine with distant views of the hills. The house is very nicely set up for three couples and has all of the amenities for a wine country vacation including a great hot tub and back yard fire pit. We will definitely stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family stayed here over a long weekend. It is a comfortable house at the end of a cul-de-sac about 10 min drive from Sonoma Square. The guest house is particularly nice. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The back yard is quite lush and a nice place to lounge as well as to view through the house's large windows.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

I think the Owners purposefully dull the pictures to make sure that they are not inundated with requests! The minute you walk onto the Property -- you just laugh to yourself and say, this is perfection. The lawns and grounds are manicured, the layout of the home is spacious yet, allows for privacy, the pool, jacuzzi, art installations -- a true paradise. Look forward to the next trip!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We loved our week at this beautiful property. Totally relaxing and a great location, only 15 minutes from town square in Sonoma, but worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The studio is especially nice, with a great selection of books -- a perfect place to sip a glass of wine and read a classic with a wonderful view. Don't miss the new Olive & Vine restaurant just up the road in Glen Ellen!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a truly amazing property. The photos do not do it justice. The home itself is lovely and very comfortable. The guest house is extremely charming. However, the yard is paradise. The pool is lovely surrounded by grass and lush trees. The jacuzzi is very private, even from the rest of the yard. The house was so nice that we did not want to leave it for a moment. I highly recommend this property and can not wait to visit again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Renters! this property is quite amazing. The pictures actually don't do enough. The property is surrounded by gorgeous greens at the end of a private road. Homeowners, reply/respond quick. Property is very kid friendly. If you like vacationing and prefer to relax in one place over running around shopping and sight seeing, this is your rental. It truly is a get away. At the same time close enough to all the good restaurants and town square.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented this house last weekend for my best friend's bachelorette party. Despite the fact that it was raining all weekend long, there was something magical about this house. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine by the owners. The wood fireplace, hot tub & beautiful cozy backyard made it even more special. The owners were very helpful with tips on where to eat, shop & ect. I would highly recommend this place. I would love to go back & stay in this BEAUTIFUL house!!! simply lovely!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just returned from spending the 4th of July weekend at this house, and it was wonderful. The pictures on VRBO do not do this house justice. It is completely updated. It was extremely clean. The pool is a perfect size and was a great temperature. The hot tub is brand new. The owners were very helpful and provided citronella candles, toys for the pool, and even a bottle of wine. Our kids loved the pool, hot tub, grounds, and the paved, quiet street leading up to the house--great place for scooters and roller blades. The grounds are large and mostly flat--great for games of tag, football, or just finding a quiet space to relax. There are plenty of full-sun and full-shade spots, so guests could enjoy the temperatures of their choice. We really enjoyed the fact that the pool was shaded in the late afternoon so we didn't have to worry as much about sunburns. It gets plenty of sun in the middle of the day! The front yard has a large fountain and comfortable lounge chairs and is very warm. The back yard is mostly grass, has a small fountain, and provides plenty of shade from all the trees. It was a very nice combination. When we did venture out, we were minutes to the Sonoma square, supermarkets and other conveniences.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are thrilled when guests enjoy our home as much as we do. Even during the off-season, the grounds are beautiful. We included a picture of one of our Japanese maples changing colors during the autumn. We are always thinking of ways to increase our guests' enjoyment. After travelling (especially with kids), what could be more relaxing than having a fridge filled with your needs? We are now offering that complimentary service. We do the shopping and you just pay for the groceries. But if you like to pick out groceries yourself, we have excellent markets in addition to an organic farm near by. Let us know any special requests and we will do our best.

We rented this house for a week in the spring- it was magical: cottage for our guests, pool, serene location. The serenity was just what we needed as a contrast to waking up in downtown Manhattan (NY); we woke to birds, the smell of grass and sunshine instead of the rumble of trucks and loud sidewalk conversations. It's a pity this beautiful home is in the wine country- that meant we had to leave it for a few hours each day to tour wineries, have coffee on the square in Sonoma, dinner or lunch at restaurants that never failed to please, and, of course, a bit of shopping! Owners were extremely helpful with their tips on where to go, what to see, and answers to questions. Would definitely recommendRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for your belated review. Never to late to hear good things. We put a lot into making our home welcoming to out guests. It is extremely satisfying to learn that you had a wondefful time.

I rented the house for my 65th birthday weekend along with my two children and there spouses and three grandchildren there was more then enough room. When we walked thru the front gate we were in another world. The owner(they were extremley easy to deal with) met us for a quik tour including a bottle of wine and from there it was relaxation time. The children used the pool all weekend as well as the jacuzzi. The grounds were magnificent. The kitchen had everything we needed for a barbeque that evening and breakfast each day. The house was appointed with beautiful artwork and very well maintained. Great location short drive to Sonoma town square as well as several wineries. We will be back and I would recomend anyone going to this area try to use this property. By the way the photos don't do justice to the house.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.
