We slept 7 very comfortably in this house w/ 2 in each bedroom and 1 in the den. It is well furnished and very clean. We enjoyed both the hot tub and the BBQ. The ocean views from this home are gorgeous and are always available from the deck w/ its lounge chairs/umbrella and the family room w/ its large windows and sliding glass door. It's just two doors from the coastal trail and the ocean, great for walking/jogging. We also found it very easy to get into San Francisco for day trips. Owner was very easy to work with and helpful in planning our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

3 small families stayed last weekend in this home, 2 parents and one toddler per family. There was plenty of space for all of us to feel like we were together, but that we all had places to retreat to as well. The pictures don't do the home, or the view, justice. The view is spectacular, even on a cold and blustery weekend like we had, and the open windows of the house and the big comfortable seating made it lovely to sit and relax. The hot tub on the deck also has a great view, and is big enough for 4. The beach is really just steps away and was great to give the kids a place to play, and the neighborhood is VERY quiet. The home felt very safe for our toddlers, and the home even came equipped with games, crayons, and Duplos for their fun! The owners were very easy to work with, they returned our deposit within a few days, the home was set up for us, and they even left fresh flowers in the rooms, which was a lovely touch. Can't wait to stay there again :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

About the owner: I was raised in the San Francisco Bay area and I visited the Half Moon Bay Area with my family as a child to enjoy the beautiful coast and beaches. As an adult, I bought a home in Half Moon Bay to enjoy vacation living year around and to be near the Pacific Ocean's Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. As a Biologist, I enjoy being close to nature as much as possible in my daily life. As an outdoors person, I enjoy surfing, sailing, golfing, tennis, cycling, hiking, fishing and whale watching. I like to shop at the local produce stands, Cunha's historic market and the Pillar Point Harbor for fresh fish. I enjoy entertaining family and friends at my house. When I eat out, I like to go to the local restaurants, especially the Miramar just down the trail from my house. When it is time to relax, I enjoy sitting on the deck reading a good book, watching sunsets and listening to the sounds of crashing surf and seagulls.
Why the Owner Chose Half Moon Bay:
I chose to buy a house in Half Moon Bay because I like the idea of living near a small historic farming town, Half Moon Bay, beside the ocean. I chose to buy in the Miramar neighborhood because of the proximity to Dunes Beach and the Monterrey National Marine Sanctuary. As a career Biologist, the house's location provided me with an area of great natural beauty and abundant marine life to explore right out my front door. As a surfer and fisherman, the location was ideal. Additionally, I bought here because it is only 25 minutes to San Francisco International Airport and the city of San Francisco and all that it has to offer.

Some of the unique benefits of the house is it's location 100 yards from Dunes Beach on the Monterrey National Marine Sanctuary. The incredible views from the living room and wrap around glass deck makes every moment special. Going for a stroll on the beach early in the morning starts every day perfectly. Sitting in a lounge chair reading, watching pelicans dive or migrating whales is a perfect relaxing afternoon. Soaking in the hot tub watching the sun set caps off a day of relaxation.
