This was by far the best VRBO experience we ever had. Jacky was the most wonderful and thoughtful person I ever dealt with . She has thought of everything for the vacationer that's packing light. The villa was clean, neat, decorated tastefully, and stocked with food and drinks per my request. Jacky bent over backwards to much sure our stay was perfect and it was. She also pre-rented a open air taxi for me and my 5 travelers. It was perfect. The snorkeling was great off the deck and we could walk to Leverick Bay to swim in the freshwater pool anytime. Walking the island does require some stamina.Not for those out of shape. Great place to vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

The villa was super nice and clean and a wonderful place for our family with kids. Jacky went out of her way to pre-load the fridge with some food. It was so nice being right on the water. We spent countless hours on the upper deck and on the dock, catching hermit crabs in the rocks, and snorkeling right out front. The location was conveniently close to the resort/marina, but yet had plenty of privacy. Besides just hanging out at the villa, a couple of our favorite things on Virgin Gorda were renting a dingy at the resort to tool around north sound, and visiting saba rock for happy hour and burgers.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This place was fantastic! You couldn't ask for a better location... beautiful water views from every angle of the house, a large deck, walking distance to the harbor, bars and restaurants, and it's own private dock. We snorkeled right there and saw all kinds of colorful fish! The interior was also immaculate with every amenity you could ask for. The owners have thought of everything and provided us with detailed information about local attractions, things to prepare for and everything we would need to make the most of our vacation.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

I left Oregon January 1Oth, knew I was heading to tropical paradise and expected to unwind and escape the winter. What I didn't expect was how completely I would sink into the native culture and how quickly I would succumb to the charms of Chai Light and of my hosts. I normally want to see every sight, do every activity, sample every restaurant---new adventure is my definition of travel and I often find myself actually a bit exhausted when I come home. This trip was different. My friends and I didn't crack any of the books we intended to read, nor did we play any games, turn on the tv or watch any movies. What did we do? Evenings found us on the dock with happy hour drinks watching "boat t.v." enjoying the amazing parade of sailboats, yachts, and charters making their way to safe harbor. Mornings found us with coffee on the beautiful water view deck watching them all leave again. We'd often amble down to the dock and jump in with our snorkels and fins to visit our favorite fish and marvel at the brain coral. Or we'd walk down the hill to Leverick Bay Resort for a leisurely diner and hanging with the locals (and the sailors!) at the bar..several times partying with the Jumbies when they performed. Not that there weren't other options. What I loved about this location and the home was that it was close to "action" but set apart from a typical tourist environment--truly perfect for me and my friends who didn't want a 24/7 commercial vacation. Highlights when we ventured: Anagada was a great charter right from Leverick, good snorkeling and the most amazing lobster lunch ever. The Baths were serene and dramatic simultaneously and we spent several afternoons swimming through the caves then enjoying sunset from the restaurant up top. Spanish Town had a few nice shops and the nights there were live bands were just amazing simple safe rowdy fun. I guess for me the best part is that I didn't feel a need to plan any activity, we just did it when we felt like it, but spent whole days at Chai Light just "being". A new experience and one I'll want to repeat again soon. The hosts are knowledge and helpful. The island is calm and inviting. The water is as blue as any Chamber of Commerce postcard I've ever seen. The waves lapping on the shore cooing me to sleep were better than any "mood" CD I've ever tried. Spoiled and loving it!! I'll be back.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
