Love this place
Love this place
We stayed here a couple weekends ago and loved it enough to book it for this weekend as well. It is very big and well equipped for 6 people. It has two bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom as an extra double bed mattress in an extended room for extra people, it also has a den/bedroom downstairs with a double futon. The table seats 6 which is great. The side yard is HUGE and great for outdoor games and the backyard and covered area are nice for nights outside. They have a bin that has crab pots, clam guns and games. Very close to the market as well as a bar and the beach. Love this place and plan on using it every time we head to Westport. Plus the property manager Darcia is wonderful to work with!

It was a great place and reasonably priced. Nice private back yard, easy walk to a beautiful beach area, and close to the fishing charters! Lots of room and comfortable beds. Laundry facilities were a definite plus!!

Great Place to Stay
Great Place to Stay
This was our third consecutive year. Love the place. Lots of room and plenty of parking. Location is great, beds are comfortable; The house itself is charming and comfortable. Kitchen is big enough for several people to work in. (if you go grabbing and have luck you'll want to have/bring a good size pot to boil them in, otherwise the kitchen is stocked nicely.). The Red Apple market has just about anything you need if you've forgotten it - and its great to support the locals, as well. The fire pit in back makes for a great place to socialize in the evenings. The property manager is excellent to work with and have always been helpful. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach - just right. The nights are quiet and relaxing. OUr favorite restaurant is Bennett's down in Grayland, about 5 minutes south of Wesport. We plan on staying again next year.

Overall, very clean and nice home. Here were some pros and cons: Pro's- very clean inside and out. Back patio area very nice to sit out there. Lots of parking and area to hang outside. Lots of beach toys and crab pots to use. Nice furniture for space allocation. Con's- directions misleading, gps brings you to wrong place...about 5 blocks off so watch side streets. beach not 1 block away. About 2-3 block drive then another 600 ft walk to beach. Living room tv has burned in screen...basically unwatchable, upstairs masters works fine though. Not enough dinnerware. If you have a larger grp then 4-5, you need to get creative with plates...lol. a pot big enough barely to cook 1 crab at a time. We have a 1 yr old and 4 yr old. Stairs upstairs are spiral staircase. Both big bedrooms upstairs. Not the best kid friendliest, but house has lots of charm. And most importantly for us was clean and inviting...and it really was. Overall, i would stay here again and recommend it.

I was very excited about renting this property after reading all review, but quite disappointed with it. Pros: -Fantastic location!!! Close to ocean, restaurants and everything. -Huge house (3+ beds) -kitchen, BBQ, cable TV, board games, outdoor basketball hoop, washer/dryer -Very pretty stained glass window Cons: -Main downstairs bath tub is cracked and chipped, sink is cracked and chipped as well, even toilet seat is badly scratched , windowsill have layer of dust and mold. -Ants, which are ok with me -Downstairs bed could be hard for some people -No window opening downstairs, no screen door,( 2 windows upstairs can be opened) -the stairs are very steep, not suitable for little kids or older adults -upstairs bath has NO lock -one window upstairs has a hole, some windows are cracked and duct-taped. Located in quiet neighborhood, but had police car coming to a neighbor`s house 2 night in a row, not sure why. I wish I could rate this property just based on location, it would be then 5 stars. -dow

Manager response: I am sorry your experience was less than satisfactory. I would like to address your complaints about the property. Thanks for your feedback. Always appreciated. 1) Sugar ants can be a problem at the beach if you leave your kitchen dirty, so please make sure you give the floor a sweep and wipe down the counters if there is food on them. 2) The bathroom sink is chipped and the toilet lid is scratched due to recent guests damaging it, but the bathtub is just fine and all function as they should. It's not a big deal there is no lock on the upstairs bathroom door - just knock before entering. 3) The futon is a nice futon, but by nature they are not soft. I'm sorry you had different expectations. My sincere apologies you found these issues bothersome. Better luck finding suitable accommodations for you and your family next time.
We had a wonderful stay over the weekend. I wish we would have been able to stay longer. The house is very spacious and was perfect for grilling and spending time outside. Very clean and comfortable. The house is close to the beach, and minutes from grocery store/restaurants etc. We will definitely be back!

We had a great weekend at the Lighthouse Inn! Very comfortable and cozy house in a great location for us...love visiting Westport! The owner was great to work with as well and everything went smoothly. I just wish it hadn't been raining so we could have used the great fire pit-hopefully next time!

Great for a small family
Great for a small family
By "small," I mean two things. My family of 5 (great-grandma, spouse, 2 children and myself) very much enjoyed our stay and were comfortable in the house. My two children are also "small" and adored the large closets upstairs, calling them their playrooms. We had a feast of oysters on the barbie one night and gathered around the fire pit. We enjoyed going to the beach, lighthouse, cranberry bogs and marina. We spent most of a day doing activities within walking distance and made short drives to lots of other things. On the down side, the steep stairs to the bedrooms were a bit much for great-grandmother, but I should have realized that beforehand and only want to warn others who may experience a similar lack of forethought. Also, the shower in the tub downstairs was a bit of a squeeze, though the half-bath upstairs has been wonderfully done. I should also note that I took small travel beds for my children; I noticed that there was a spare mattress and an inflatable bed stowed in upstairs closets with plenty of extra linen kept in the laundry room, but we didn't need them. Overall, it is a lovely home being rented at a reasonable price and by nice people, and I was very glad to stay there.

All you need
All you need
The place is comfy, with a old world charm. Fire pit in the back yard, surfboards and boogie boards, walk to the beach, Basketball hoop, football, and board games. Nice TV's and all around a clean house. The beds were the nicest I have slept on out of all the rentals I have slept in. The neighbors are great, friendly and easy to get along with. Dont miss out on this rental, you wont be disappointed.
