  I have been to gulf shores the past four years and this is by far the best condo I have stayed in. The location is awesome. The condo has everything you need to cook a great meal and is nicely decorated. I will be returning to this condo! Had a wonderful stay.

  My wife and I have been to Gulf Shores several times. We like the Island Winds property because of it's proximity to downtown and several beach venues. The morning walks along the beach are great. Dolphins can be seen right from your balcony. If you like to golf there are many choices to pick from in a 20 mile radius. Timbercreek was our favorite for price and condition. If you like a great burger and a beer, "After Ours" bar is the place to go. It's a local favorite but you'll have to hunt for it because it's tucked in a couple blocks off of Hwy 59 The condo is well taken care of and you wont find nicer people than Doris and Dwight. All of the details were smoothly handled and renting from the owners is the way to go. We highly recommend this property and plan to come back in the future.

  My husband and I were able to plan a last minute get away to Gulf Shores last week-end. Doris was so helpful and this unit was perfect. The weather was great and we were able to walk the beach many times. This was the first time we have come to the beach in January. Hopefully we can start a tradition of this, and we will definitely look at coming back to this unit.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  My husband and I rented this condo fo a 3 night stay (wish it could have been longer). It is exactly as pictured and the numerous positive reviews are very true. The owner could not have been nicer or more accommodating.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  I was blessed to stay a week at this great condo. This is my second time in this condo. I spent the entire month of November in 2011 in the condo. Had it not been for my health you would have found me there for a month this year! Doris and Dwight are the nicest friendliest folks around. Condo is just as descibed and pictures don't do it justice. Desoto's is still a cheap place for lunch with great food.

  October is a beautiful time to be at the Gulf and is most enjoyable when you stay at the right place. The Wootens are great to rent from and the condo was clean and just the right size for my husband and me. I selected this condo because of the positive reviews - and I can now say, they were true. Highly recommended. :)

  My husband and I stayed in this beautiful 1 bedroom beach front condo from November 16-19, 2012. Our stay was great!! Not only was the condo beautiful, the weather was also perfect!! The unit looks exactly as the pictures show it on VRBO. It's very clean, cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We will be making a return visit in the near future. Doris is very kind and pleasant to speak with. Thanks Dwight and Doris for sharing your beautiful condo with us.

  We tremendously enjoyed our stay here. It was just my husband and I so finding a one bedroom condo was great! It was very clean and well stocked. It is very convenient to restaurants, entertainment, shopping, souvenir stores, etc. Doris was easy to work with and communicate with. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again in the future.

  My wife and I stayed at this great 1 bedroom condo from Sept 15th through the 18th (2012). It was just as described. It was well maintained and had all the amenities of home. The balcony with the beach view was great for relaxing evenings of listening to the sounds of the ocean and drinking wine. The location of the unit right off of the elevator was great. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. Comfortable bed, good shower and stack washer/dryer were also a plus for this unit. We have stayed in many units through VRBO in the past and this was one of the best. I would recommend it to any couple looking for easy access and location. We went to Papa Rocco's and the pizza and saled were great. The Tanger Outlet Mall and Lambert's Restaurant were also close enough to visit.

  We arrived to find a wonderfully decorated condo with magnificent views! The condo was very clean and everything we could have needed was provided for us. Unfornunately, Hurricane Issac was closing in and we only got a few precious hours at the beach before they started calling for evacuations. My husband and I were supposed to get married in the sand on Aug 28th but that didn't happen. I was so upset, knowing our dream wedding was not going to happen. I called Doris to let her know the situation and let me tell you, she was such an angel! She comforted me while I cried and I could tell that she hurt for us. She graciously let us swap our time at the beach for time at one of her cabins in Gatlinburg, just so our vacation wouldn't be completely ruined. We ended up getting married back home in Tennessee on Sept 8th. Thank you Doris for spending all that time on the phone with me while I cried my heart out to you. Most people would not be that caring to someone they don't know. We look forward to coming back in 2013 and having an awesome beach vacation in a fantastic condo. Can't wait!
