Park your car - the outlets are only a block away, and you're right next door to grocery store, bank, seafood market and various fast food and sit-down restaurants. Like to golf (like MY husband does?) You're in luck because there are 5+ golf courses within a 5 minute drive. Enjoy walking and bike riding? Nicely paved 10 foot wide bike and walking trail runs right by our property and connects to the beautiful 30-A bike trail.

We are across the street from the beach, so we are able to offer you an affordable vacation get-away for much less $$.
Our condo is large for a 1-bedroom - over 800 square feet of living space in our one-level condo. Tile throughout, windows everywhere for lots of natural light. Living room offers leather sofa that unfolds to queen-size sleeper. Comfy leather chair and 2 ottomans for extra seating or just to prop your feet up and watch the flat screen and relax! Bar height dining table seats 4, and 2 more can sit at the breakfast bar. Kitchen with all the comforts of home - microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher and condo is stocked with initial supply of paper products. Down the hall is a single bed for the kids - with a pull out trundle they will love to sleep on! Large master bedroom with huge closet and washer/dryer queen bed and TV.
Shared balcony with table and chairs - sit outside and enjoy watching the kids play in the pool.
No on-site manager, but no worries - we mail the key to you once payment is received in full, and there is a lock box with a key code access if you lock yourself out during your stay. Check in is 3 pm/check out by 10 am.

We had a wonderful time in Destin & this was the perfect place to stay. You can't beat the price & location. Much better than any hotel. Very clean, well kept, comfortable & nicely decorated. We had a wonderful time here at Poinciana Place. Very quiet! It is a short walk to the beach, but the walk was beautiful. The condo itself was very clean and orderly. We loved it, and would definitely come here again! The condo was just as described, a perfect fit for our family of 5. The kids enjoyed the pool, did say the water was a little cool, but that didn't stop them from jumping right in. The neighbors were super nice and friendly. The beach was a short walk and with the weather as perfect as it was, made for a nice walk. Overall for the price and location, this condo is the best! Thanks Sharon for making the process so easy, we loved our vacation!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at this condo for 5 days. It is very nice, the complex is small and quiet but very close to everything.The beds were very comfortable. It was very clean and we would have had the pool to ourselves if we wanted it. We did our swimming in the ocean. It is a beautiful beach and the water was crystal clear. It is only a block away. The owners were awesome to deal with. The way they do the transaction works very well. I definitely will book this condo again if it is available our next trip. If you like the cheesy tourist thing check out Fudpuckers. It was fun seeing the alligators. I wouldn't recommend the steak dinner I got but the Fudwhacker was very good.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My sister and I loved the location of the condo as it was an easy walk to the beach and shopping. Fairly comfortable although the couch which made into a bed was not good. We were also dissappointed in no beach chairs or beach towels. Quite a few full-time residents also in the complex (younger people and lots of SMOKERS).Did you find this review helpful? We are the repeater and we will stay this place again! This place gives us the opportunity to have a nice vacation with affordable budget. We love this place which has every thing around this area. Very short walk to the beach,food,shopping. Our two teenagers love to move around by themselves at night with safe.The owner is very nice and easy to contact with.Our son wish to buy this condo if he make money.(Smile!) We stayed just shy of a week & it was a great trip. We definately have plans to stay here again. The owners were very easy to work with and the condo was very nice. It was a very short walk to the beach & there is also limited parking available @ beach, which we used to avoid having to carry our 2 yr old back after he wore himself out @ beach. I highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a reasonable get away in the Destin area.Recommended for: Families with young children.

FIRST TIME USING VRBO AND I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. THE OWNER WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING WITH OUR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS. UNIT IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE PICTURES SHOW. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little condo. 5 min walk to the beach, nice little pool, easy access to all sorts of things in the Destin area. We had our 14 month old with us and it worked out great. The condo owners (Sharon and Tom) were wonderful to work with. We had no problems at all. Would recommend this place to others without reservation! Hope to come back someday in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We have always loved the beach and want to share our condo with people who love the white sand and blue waters of the gulf as much as we do. While on our honeymoon, we dreamed of the day when we could have our own place on the gulf, and now, here we are - Dreams do come true! We make the drive down from Birmingham Alabama every chance we get, and hope to retire one day and sell beach umbrellas for our spending money:) Come on down and enjoy our place. Why the Owner Chose Poinciana Place:
Destin is a great place to visit and our condo is close to everything - outlets, beach, bike trail. We used to stay in Gulf Shores, but Hurricane Ivan sent us running to Destin. Wow, we had no idea the water here was SO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL!! The blue-green gulf is just like you see on the postcards! It's a reality in Destin, and beats Gulf Shores hands-down! If you like to ride bikes, the fabulous 30-A bike trail close by, and back-beach road 6-mile bike and walking trail is right outside our front door. Come on down and see if you agree - Destin is THE place to vacation!
