  Beautiful cottage; beautiful views, without a doubt, the nicest place we have EVER rented. Marilyn and John have thought of EVERYTHING---all the comforts of home. Close to the Pemaquid Lighthouse, the quaint town of Damariscotta, and the freshest lobster from Shaw's Lobster wharf---just around the corner! Can't wait to return---very soon!!

  My husband and I stayed at Suite Thyme for a week's vacation in late July. The carriage house is comfortable, very clean and provides everything needed for a home away from home. The views from the porch are incomparable! I lived in Maine for eight years and I can say unequivocally that the property and views are truly exceptional. The owners are very accommodating, providing us with our own laundry facilities and a grill; not something to be taken for granted as many rentals don't have such options. We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing week at Suite Thyme!

  An excellent place for a vacation in Maine. The cottage has all the needed amenities and is very clean and comfortable. The view from the deck is amazing a great place for morning coffee and evening drinks. The New Harbor area is fun to explore with many activities and great food.

  We had a "sweet time" at the Suite Thyme Carriage House for our first family vacation with our 3-month-old! John and Marilyn were incredibly accommodating -- making sure that we had enough room for our pack-and-play along with all of the comforts of home. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking blueberry pancakes a joy. The view from everywhere on the property (inside and out) was amazing and far exceeded our expectations! Even a rainy day in Maine can be enjoyed from the cozy living space which included many books, puzzles, wifi and even a few DVDs. We highy recommend this lovely property is you are looking to get away from it all and yet still want to be able to walk a mile to the neighborhood market. Thanks for a wonderful memory, John and Marilyn! We hope to return someday soon and look forward to telling others about this rental! As far as restaurants...be sure to check out the Cupboard Cafe and the Anchor Inn.

  My husband and I pulled into the driveway and could not believe the view. The carriage house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Having the use of the washer and dryer eliminated taking home a bunch of dirty clothes. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck and wine in the evenings on the rocks by the ocean. Make sure you go to The Cupboard restaurant for their amazing sticky buns!

  Our week at Sweet Thyme was filled with everything we had hoped and more. The view was breathtaking and I loved watching the sunrise. The kids had a wonderful time exploring the rocks or just sitting and eating a snack watching the waves, birds, or lobstermen. The cottage is quaint, but has everything our family needed. We visited the local ice cream parlor numerous times! We also enjoyed the salt pond, Pemaquid lighthouse, Ft. Henry, and all the different places to eat and shop. Boothbay isn't far away and makes a great day trip for whaling and more. Can't wait to come back and visit some of the places we missed this time. The owners are wonderful and are close by if needed, but not intrusive. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

  From the moment we came in the driveway and saw the expanse of ocean, stepped from the car and heard the crashing waves and entered an immaculate carriage house we knew we were in the right place! Wow! This is a beautiful place. We came quite exhausted from busy days and were looking for a restful place for quiet retreat. We also knew that our spirits our nourished by natural sights and sounds and that we needed that. We found all of that and more at Suite Thyme! Marilyn and John have provided everything that you could possibly need in a comfortable, delightfully decorated, modern, exceptionally clean, cozy carriage house. Every little convenience has been thought of! We kept marveling at that! And, everything works beautifully..from the marvelously functioning wireless internet to a great coffee pot! Within walking distance of the carriage house are beautiful places to explore and these caring owners have left a helpful book to suggest sites to visit, including restaurants and other local attractions. New Harbor is a delightful town. We kept saying that we were going to visit other nearby places but we never really wanted to leave New Harbor and Suite Thyme. Warning! One week was NOT enough! It went by too quickly and we are going to have to stay longer next time. It was just too hard pulling out of the driveway on Saturday morning and watching that rocky shore disappear from sight! We can't wait to come back!

  This was our first visit to Maine. John and Marilyn have done a wonderful job with the Suite-Thyme carriage house by making it your home-away-from-home. It was modern, charming, spotless and equipped with everything you need including internet service and a book of things to do while in New Harbor. The things that make it different from your home-away-from-home are the views – the rocks, the ocean, the sunrise glowing across the sky, the moon glimmering on the water and the lighthouses pronouncing their warning lights in the night; the sounds - the water hitting against the rocks, sea gulls on the rocks and in the air and the lobster boats checking their traps. New Harbor has a grocery, ice-cream shop, craft store, art gallery, restaurant and fishing harbor. We especially liked O’Reilly’s grocery store, Shaw’s Lobster Shack and Hardie Boat Tours. Must do’s while visiting – Pemaquid Lighthouse and Museum, Museum of Transportation, ferry boat ride to Mohegan Island, Botanical Gardens, Acadia National Park and shop at LL Bean and at Boothbay Harbor. The Suite-Thyme is a great place to relax and have fun! We would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a charming, quiet and quaint place to vacation. We are planning on returning.

  There is no place in the world like Suite Thyme. I have been privileged to live there over three winters and I have never tired of the ocean view. My photo library of the ocean's many moods, colors, and textures is in the hundreds and the images fill my mind's gallery with the greatest joy. Marilyn and John work so hard to make sure that everything is convenient, extremely nice, and comfortable and they are the most kind and wonderful people to know as friends. The village of New Harbor is a huge asset, with Reilly's Market, the Samoset Restaurant and Shaw's Lobster Shack overlooking the lobster boats in harbor are just wonderful. There is everything you really need there - food, gas, bank, church, post office, hardware. It is simply wonderful and I highly recommend it as the experience of a life time.
