Can’t wait until next summer we will be back! First time renting in the lake area and have to say we hit a GOLD MINE! Larry & Teresa (owners) were fabulous and did everything in their power to not only make our trip enjoyable but made the rental process simple. The photos don’t do justice to the cabin and area. It really is a beautiful location and cozy cabin, perfect for both families and couples. We had a wonderful fall weekend, BBQ in the evening, relaxing around the fire pit and soaked up the atmosphere. Sunday morning on the open deck was sublime, didn’t want to leave :)

Best Vacation Ever

Wow what a great week we had. Cabin 4 was just perfect. Everything we needed was there for us. We enjoyed swimming and using our canoe on the lake during the day and had relaxing evenings cooking out and building a camp fire. The lake is just beautiful. I really think they have the best spot on the lake with the quiet cove. There is also plenty do do near by if you want to do some day trips. The best part was being able to bring our dog. He loved the ducks at the dock! We have already made plans to come back next summer. Thank you Teresa and Larry! Stacey

Best family vacation in years

This was one of the best family vacations we have had in many years. The cabins were even better than described. We also could not say enough about Teresa and Larry the owners. They were so helpfull with anything you needed and we are very grateful for their hospitality. It was also nice to be able to have our dog with us for the trip, he loved going for walks and taking a swim in the lake. Having a private dock was great for us since we had our boat with us. Our 3 boys had a great time tubing on the lake and swimming from the dock. We also enjoyed the quiet nights sitting around the fire pit. We will defintely be going back to spend more great times at the Hemlock Point Chalets.

We arrived on Friday evening and stayed until Sunday morning...our only regret is that we did not stay all week.. The cabin was exactly as discribed on the website. clean,.cute, felt like home..relaxation at its best.. loved the view of the lake...will definetly be staying again!! Thank you!!

My family and I had just had a great weekend at the cabin, what a wonderful place it is, you will fall in love with it as I did when I walked in. The owners checked in on us making sure all was well. We will def. be booking another weekend for next year. If you go you will not be disappointed!

I've stayed on the lake before, but never at those cabins, and in June 2012 it was my first time. It was beyond amazing. the cabin was very nice and neat, it was so quiet even though the other cabins were rented, they are so spaced out that you dont even hear the neighboors. theresa and larry were extremely nice and made our stay very easy. it was a wonderful vacation, definitively the best place to get away from hard days at work. the dock is very big and good for fishing or just to hang around and read a book. it is amazing how you have your own bonfire and your own grill. i just booked another stay for the summer 2013 and i cannot wait for it!

My husband, our dog and I had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. The cabin was just beautiful; the online pictures do not do it justice. We were in cabin one and we had a very nice view of the lake. I was worried I would be hot but it was nice and cool at night. We went for a nice long walk every day and my husband loved going out fishing. We loved every minute and can't wait to go back with the kids.

We had a wonderful time in this charming cabin! We stayed in # 4 which had a wonderful fire pit and beautiful screened in porch. We enjoy every aspect of the space. The dock location was wonderful. It was great being able to bring the dog with us. He had a great time and was too busy keeping up with the birds and squirrels to be a pest. Everything was awesome. Great Weekend Getaway

Just steps away from the water, this cabin was very clean and well-maintained. The owners were on-site staying in another cabin and were very friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had and offering suggestions on activities and places to eat. They even chopped a pile of firewood and offered to carry chairs down to the dock for us. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay there again in the future.

I stayed here with several friends for a guy's weekend, and we had a great time. The cabin was clean and as advertised, the fire pit came with a bundle of firewood, and it was a short walk to the lake or to hiking in the nearby state parks. The Owners were very friendly and helpful. All in all a great place and a great weekend.

All about relaxing

We wanted to find a place near the water that was quiet where my husband could fish while I read. A nice quiet relaxing experience. We found it here. The first thing I noticed was the birds singing, then I noticed how quiet it was. This place was clean and cozy. We were near several restaurants and Dutches grocery store was great too. Teresa answered any questions we had. We look forward to returning to Cabin 1.

We recently stayed here for our annual ice fishing trip. The cabin is great, well-maintained and has plenty of room! We will book this one again in the future. Amazing company trip

We had a weekend team-building getaway for our company and had a truly special weekend in the Poconos. Most of the time was spent near the awesome fire pit, while grilling steaks and such on the charcoal grill right by the fire. The house was clean and well-kept, with plenty of space for a group of 6 to hang-out and eat together. Thanks Teresa, we'll be back soon!

spent a week at the cabin was close to the water .we are fisherman the fishing was great had some nice cookouts. great sleeping at night the cabin was clean and well maintained.will be back next year.this place rocks.my friends cant wait to come back.if u need grocies go to dutchs. great store.see you next year.oh we took home 40 fish.carl.

Great Summer Vacation on the lake

My husband and I, along with our dogs, spent a week in Cabin #3 for our summer vacation. It was a fantastic week. The Cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed to have a stress-free, fun-filled week. We especially loved the proximity to the lake and the private boat dock right next to the launching area. We spent our days fishing on the lake and spent the nights grilling right outside our cabin & hanging out by the fire pit. You cannot beat the affordability and location of this quaint cottage nestled in the woods next to Lake Wallenpaupack. We will definitely be booking a week for Summer 2012. Thank you!

My family and I (five of us total) as well as our two dogs return each year! The cabins are wonderful. The location is amazing (both to the water as well as other attractions), and we all look forward to our week at the lake! Everyone is very helpful, and we always end up meeting friendly, new families who are also vacationing at the lake! We love that the cabin is so close to the water, and since we always bring the boat, we spend a great deal of time enjoying the fun times on the water (boating, tubing, and skiing)! The cabin provides us all the comforts of home and the outdoor areas are well-equipped to grill and roast smores! Good times are had by all!

Great lakefront getaway...if you like swimming, sun & fun, firepit at night, cooking out on a charcoal grill, enjoying family time...this is perfect! Nights are quiet, dark, starlit, and easy to share with loved ones or a good book. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Accommodations were clean and well equipped. My family had a fantastic time at Hemlock Point Chalet. The cabin is very clean, adorable, and simple. We had friendly neighbors and Teresa was so flexible and quick to answer my questions. My kids LOVED sleeping up in the loft. Teresa provides plenty of movies and games for a rainy day. We will definitely be back to visit!

My husband and I rented cabin 4 and was extremely pleased with the property. Larry and Teresa are wonderful owners to work with and very personable. The cabin has everything one would need during their trip including a coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, etc. It also has a great DVD collection if the weather is bad. The lake is a short distance and the other cabins aren't too close. The grill and fire pit are in a great location and the new grill works great. We are definitely renting this cabin again!

Spent Mother's Day Weekend in Cabin 1 and I have to say we had an amazing time at the cabin. Everything was beautiful! Cabin was clean and very cute! Perfect area for campfires and spending time outdoors. The area surrounding the cabin was very well taken care of and so relaxing! It was very hard to leave. My husband and I spent the long Easter weekend at this property. It was clean and well maintained. The cabin has everything you'd need for a weekend getaway including a current and diverse DVD collection, which was a nice surprise. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots/pans/dishes. No need to pack any additional items. The water is hot and the shower didn't run cold once during our stay. The other cabins on the property are far enough away that you don't feel like you're sharing your vacation with strangers. It was a great experience and we'll definitely be back for more relaxation this summer.

My husband and I, along with our dog, stayed in Cabin 3 for the weekend. We also invited our best friends from NY to join us, and they brought their dog, too. Everyone had a wonderful time! The cabin was clean and very cute. I loved the open layout because it provided lots of time to talk, even when some of us were in the kitchen area preparing meals. The best part of the cabin was the closeness to the lake... all of us loved getting outdoors and going for walks across the frozen lake! Teresa and Larry were so nice to work with and answered all our questions about the cabin prior to our arrival. It was a great cabin and a great price! We hope to make our weekend to the Poconos a yearly event, and we will definitely rent this cabin again!

My husband and I, along with our two dogs, stayed in Cabin 3 for New Year's weekend. The cabin was cute and very clean and the proximity to the lake cannot be beat! We loved being able to get away for a quiet weekend, but still close to grocery stores and restaurants. The cabins are extremely charming and contain everything you need for a relaxing, care free vacation. The setting is idyllic, as the beautiful lake and the lush forests make for a truly peaceful experience. My family recently spent the weekend and it was everything we could have asked for. Cabins are well maintained, cozy, and plenty warm - and if your around good people, you'll never want to leave. Additionally, there's a ton to do in the area if you love the outdoors, and there's a bunch of great restaurants on the lake if your looking for a quality meal. Ownership is incredibly kind, helpful, and accomodating. They were more than willing to answer any question we had and always wore a smile. It's a true bargain for the price - we'll be going back soon!

Quaint and Memorable

The overall experience in cabin 4 was a very positive one. The house was clean and simple. Dealing with the landlords was nothing but helpful and positive and I felt very welcomed and at home. The cabin sleeps 7 in close quarters, so needless to say it was a very intimate family experience! It's a short walk to the lake and the view in the fall is beautiful! There is a lot to do nearby, but we chose to just stay in and near the cabin and had a great time. We went fishing on the dock and caught lots of them, cooked dinner on the fire and played board games. It was so nice to be in one room together, enjoying each other's company and away from technology. I would love to come back again next year.

My fiance's family books the same week here every year. They rent all 4 cabins. My fiance and I stay in cabin 2 but we have stayed in cabin 4 in the past. We look forward to this vacation every year. The dock is great! We swim for hours and lay out in the sun. At night we go fishing and enjoy the incredible view of the stars. It can be a little scary at night with all of the wild animals roaming around but it is exciting. The cabins are super clean and very comfy. The kitchens are well equiped and the bathrooms are clean and modern. The owners are very friendly. They make sure your stay is super enjoyable. I am overly excited about returning in July.

We stayed in cabin 4 during the week of July 4th and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and well stocked with all necessary household items. Teresa and her husband were great to deal with. The shared dock gave us the opportunity to meet the other families there at the time, which was an added plus because we made new friends. We also were able to bring our dog and he also loved the trip

Great place! Highly recommended! Having it's own boat dock makes it so much better to enjoy your Jet Skis, Canoes, Kayak, etc. The price is accurate and the owners are very helpful and easy to get in contact with. Most likely be back next year!!

Our family rented 3 of the cabins for Father's Day weekend and it was perfect! The cabins are cute, very clean, well maintained and nestled in the hemlocks. They have an open floor plan, a large screened in porch and deck. There is no air conditioning, but fans are available. They are across from a community road but an easy walk to a private dock. The dock itself was a great place to hang out and the shore has plenty of room for chairs to take in the view or watch children play in the water, which is shallow enough to do so. We also enjoyed the firepit by the lake in the evenings. The price was right, we were able to bring our dog, and dock our boat. These features alone make it a unique find. The owners and caretakers are hands on and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend it and will definitely visit here again!

Wonderful weekend on the Lake!!!!

The cabin was clean and comfortable! The dock was easily accesible with the launch just yards away! Great location on Lake Walenpaupack, with the cove. The kids were able to swim and fish right at the dock. It was great to keep our boat at the dock without worry. There is a fire ring for those late night marshmallow roast, as well as a charcoal grill for cooking out! We spent most of our time either on the boat or on the dock!. The setting is very woodsy and serene. Plenty of beds for everyone as well as tv/dvd player for the kids when they get bored as well as a several card and board games, not to mention exploring the grounds. Great deal for what's available on the lake. Grocery store, bait and more within 10 minute drive of the cabin. We will definitely rent this cabin again!

I stayed at Hemlock the weekend of 6/12/10 w/ my wife and children (age 8 & 12). What an enjoyable and relaxing time. The cottages are adorable, and are set on a beautiful piece of property. It's maybe 200' to the lake. The dock, which I used for my boat and jet ski, was also a wonderful place to relax during the early evening and morning. The lake is huge, and fishing was great. The owners personally came to greet us upon arrival, and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I will be coming back here without a doubt.
