    We rented this adorable home from April 25th - May 2nd. We were spending the week in Florida to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday and this place could not have been nicer. Everything we needed and the pool and hot tub were amazing. Very comfortable and exactly as shown in the pictures. Loved being on the waterway and close to everything we needed. Thanks so much John and Becky for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us. Hopefully, we'll be travelling back to New Port Richey next spring... we'll be checking to see if your home is still available.

    My wife and I were really pleased with the house. John was there when we arrived and made us feel extremely welcome. Any time we needed anything or had a question he would return our call immediately, and was always ready to help. The house was as advertised and then some. We are looking forward to returning next year, and would recommend the property to anyone.

    We had a wonderful time while staying at this well maintained, great location home. As in the pictures what you see is what you get! This wa just what the Dr ordered! We spent many hours in the pool and nightly hot tub soaks. The private sandy beach was absolutely breathtaking. We visited nearby Tarpon Springs a number of times, went to the greyhound track near clearwater, and spent several hours just relaxing on the screened in sun porch. I would recommend this home in a heartbeat. Thank you John for your great hospitality! Dana

    My husband and our 6 month old daughter spent the 2nd wk in September at John & Becky's Gulf Harbor's vacation home and had a wonderful time! We were so pleased with the cleanliness of the home, and the house was stocked with everything that we needed to enjoy our vacation with no worries. The neighborhood is quiet and well maintained. We brought our boat with us and enjoyed daily adventures exploring some of the treasures of the Gulf such as Anclote and Three Rooker Island's. We saw dophins on each of our trips out and even had a group of them riding in our boat wake! It was AWESOME! The gulf side of Anclote Island is full of beautiful shells and sand dollars, we found ourselves among a variety of live gigantic shell life-clams, snails, and hermit crabs as we walked along an emerging sandbar one afternoon. The views were breathtaking! We arrived back at the vacation house each day to jump in the refreshing pool and barbeque on the grill. John was a pleasure to work with and was always prompt in returning any of our communications with him. We are already looking into plans to return next year to this beautiful home!

    This home is a beautiful, clean home and the property is as advertised. It exceeded our expectations. We had everything we needed and home is in a great location. John was very helpful and was always available if we had any questions. Quiet neighborhood and very peaceful. Didn't get to use the pool because the weather was a little chilly, but it was very tempting. We will recommend this home to our freinds and hope to return. Thanks John for making our stay so comfortable!

    The property is located close to the beach and RT 19 that runs along the coast. Very nice location for exploring the central part of Florida. The house and pool is kept in good condition.

    I just came back from a Thanksgiving Week visit to my elderly aunt & uncle. My family gathered from around the country and 4 of us stayed at this cottage, and 8 of us spent a lot of time here. The property was just as advertised and the photos accurately describe the place which was in immaculate condition. It's a comfortable, homey place. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and private beach. John was available by phone and very helpful in how to turn the valves and start the heater for the hot tub! All-in -all we were very pleased and agreed we would stay here again.

    My sister and I stayed at this house in August. It was in a great location, had the private beach that you got to use and a boat rental at the end of the canal. We rented a Craig cat one afternoon and a pontoon boat one afternoon to go to Anclote Key. We saw a pod of dolphins frolicking around on our last day out on the water and we were thrilled. We called everbody at work to let them know. We made good use of the pool, the egrets would walk right up the dock and to the pool - we were amazed. We saw some great sunsets and enjoyed sitting out by the pool in the evenings. The house was great, very clean and had everything we needed. It was in a good neigborhood and we had no qualms about staying there. We met John and Becky's neighbors on one side so it is a friendly spot. We loved the poem John's mother did for him and copied it for our use. John was excellent to work with and I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who was considering staying here. It was just as the pictures showed on this website and we were very pleased with our choice. Thanks for letting us stay in your home!

  • GREAT VACATION!!!

    We stayed for 2 weeks, the first with our 14 year old son and his friend, and then the second our 18 year old son and his girlfriend joined us. What a vacation! We had everything we needed, and John was super helpful, even called us when we arrived to make sure we found everything okay. We rented a boat from Windsong Charters, which we kept at the dock right behind the house. We took real advantage of the pool, fished off the seawall when not out on the boat, barbecued several times, and had plenty to do off the water at Tampa and Tarpon Springs. If you like to fish ask John about the best spot for shark fishing--Wow! What an adventure that was! I caught a 4 foot hammerhead shark with my own rod right off our own boat--who needs to pay $800 for a shark fishing trip when you can catch them yourself! The kids had a great time on the boat, on the island, and in the pool, they even rode their bikes to McDonald's a few times. If you are looking for a great family vacation home for an extremely reasonable price, you have found it! This place is for the most part new, nicely decorated, has most everything you will need; not run down and old like many others in this price range. Just be SURE to rent a boat and go to the island--that's something you won't want to miss!

    We had such a great time here! John and Becky were wonderful to rent from. The home was perfect everything we needed!!! We were very pleased and will definatley be coming back!

    You won't go wrong with either the house or the owners! You will undoubtedly find the house very clean, comfortable, and within easy access to many fun and romantic locations just as we did. John and Becky are more than helpful, willing to go above and beyond, and also made some wonderful suggestions for our get-a-way without the kids. Next time, however, they'll be coming along. Great price too for the amenities the house affords (heated pool, hot tub, private dock, private beach access, etc.) as well location. The fresh gulf grouper sandwiches at "Catches" were terrific too!

    Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    My family and I very much enjoyed our vacation stay at this house. The home is clean, well kept and comfortable. It is close to many attractions. My children (7 & 4) loved swimming in the pool and fishing from the dock. The sunsets at the private beach were beautiful. The Smiths were extremely accommodating and made our stay most enjoyable. We hope to visit the property again, and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for the memories!

    We have just experienced three wonderful months at this delightful, clean,bright home in Gulf Harbors. The backyard is truly a paradise, the early morning sun greets you and the gorgeous setting sun, says 'good night'!! We had endless hours of fun either in the pool, or hottub, or watching the birds and changing tides. The owner is honest, helpful and very willing to please, we shall return.     This is one vacation home you don't want to pass up. Our family of 5 had plenty of room. The beautiful furnishings make you feel right at home. Swimming pool, dock, and backyard are such a plus. Extremely clean and well kept. Owner's are wonderful to rent from and go out of their way to make your vacation stay complete.

    This is a beautiful home, my family and I had a wonderful time. It was very nice to have the pool for the kids, and the dock with direct acess to the Gulf. We were able to catch our bait right in the canal. The owners went overboard to make sure we were satisfied. Don't pass this place up!
