This newly renovated 3-bedroom suite is spotless! It comes with a fully equipped kitchen - stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher) and all the cookware you would need. The suite is large - 1100 sq feet - and has an open living area with comfy leather sofas and a 50' TV with HD cable. Bring your own laptop and surf the web on the free wireless internet. There's also an in-suite washer and dryer. The bedrooms come with a king, a queen and a double bed, all with Sealy pillowtop mattresses and warm duvets. But best of all, the location of this property cannot be beat. It's 5 minutes (2.5 km) out of the downtown core, 15 minutes (14 km) from the airport, 2 minutes (1.6 km) from Highway 2 (Deerfoot Trail), 10 minutes (4 km) from the Stampede grounds, 6 minutes (2.8 km) from the Calgary Zoo and the Telus Science Centre. And if you are interested in heading to the mountains, it is just 3 blocks off of Highway 1 (16th Ave).
If your trip to Calgary is not for pleasure and you'll need to be visiting any medical facilities during your stay, this suite is ideally located. It is close to all of the main hospitals - 10 minutes (7.5 km) from the Peter Lougheed Hospital, 10 minutes (8 km) from the Alberta Childrens Hospital, 10 minutes (6.6) km from the Foothills Hospital and 15 minutes (17.2 km) from the Rockyview General Hospital.

I stayed here with my two boys age 10 and 8 in February. We were very close to the science center, zoo and restaurants. The apartment is spacious and super clean. I thoroughly enjoyed the roomy well stocked kitchen. My boys enjoyed the big T.V. And entertainment area. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable and on a side note the art thru out is fun. When we return to Calgary I will definitely stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our stay at the Blue Moose was very enjoyable. The suite was roomy and bright, as well as conveniently located, not far from downtown, close to bus routes and main highways, so very easy to get to and from. I like to cook and bake even when away from home, so we were pleased to find all kitchen items needed to do so, not only utensils but also staple ingredients. The bathroom was spacious, and the bathtub was very clean and relaxing to enjoy after a long day. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. We hope to stay at the Blue Moose the next time we come to Calgary!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed for two weeks, which included Christmas & New Years. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay & we would certainly stay again & recommend it to friends/family. First the Good/Great things: The location was great for our purposes, with a grocery store & pub within easy walking distance. Central Area / Great Road Access for getting all over Calgary. Which was the purpose of our stay - visiting friends & family all over the city. The entire place was very clean & well kept, both inside the unit & outside. The beds & bedding were very comfortable, inviting looking too. Towels & other linens were lovely with plenty available. The artwork, decor & general appearance of the suite was great, talk about an ad for Ikea ;-) Liked the "Hip Cow Town" Art! The entire place seemed spacious & uncrowded. The people upstairs are very friendly & polite without seeming at all nosy. We are not extreme party people (but it WAS the holidays) for our small gatherings it was a comfortable place to host, & as we kept it quiet-ish there were no issues. They had a nice selection of kitchen spices & food basics, which we didn't utilize but we appreciated the thought. We certainly loved having coffee cream there for our first morning & enjoyed the experience of the tassimo. Nice Extra! There is a little stereo set up which we enjoyed being able to slip our Ipods onto. There is a great spot for setting up your laptop & the internet access was great. The two times we had minor requests/issues (needed a roaster for cooking a ham & a later stove malfunction) they handled it very quickly and pleasantly! The rest: (only some people might find these to be issues) it depends on what you need / are looking for / wanting to do! It is a basement suite in a 4plex building, but unless you look out the windows it doesn't feel like a basement suite. It isn't a holiday resort of course, so there is no pool or hot tub, no fireplace (gas or wood) for cozy winter nights, no nice bathtub for soaking, no candles for romance, no balcony or outside seating for suite use or any resort-like extras. There seemed to be an issue with the cable - very few channels available. The kitchen had nice dishes, but seemed a bit sparse for 6 people (we were only two) but we found several things missing we would have liked to have had for cooking meals. Perhaps they haven't been renting long & they seem willing to improve, so issue may be solved soon as we emailed a list of suggestions!Owner response: This guest sent us a list of some things they felt the kitchen could use like a sugar bowl, kitchen scissors, a butter dish etc. We have purchased everything on their list. We have also upgraded the cable as we had not realized that Telus had mistakenly set us up on the lower package. There now is full HD cable with extra sports, news and entertainment channels.

We stayed here for a month and loved it. Every detail has been covered and it has all the expected amenities. The appliances are new, linens and towels are great, it's very clean, the beds are very very comfortable, and the wifi is super fast! As the description states, it's a great location. We were in the downtown in minutes and it has easy access to 16th ave if you are on your way to the mountains. It's a cozy, quiet place... we loved it!Did you find this review helpful?
