The Zichron Yaacov Loggia, or lodge, is a beautiful, renovated 100-year old stone cottage, in the heart of the historic centre of Zichron Yaacov. The cottage is set in a tranquil and luxuriant Mediterranean garden, brimming with organically-grown vegetables, herbs, grapes, pomegranates, olives, figs, passion fruit and climbing roses, to name just a few. Guests are invited to sample for themselves any of the garden's produce.
The cottage can accommodate up to six people comfortably: a couple in a Queen-sized bed (plus crib if requested) in the master bedroom, and up to four single beds in the spacious second bedroom. The Loggia is air-conditioned throughout and in addition both bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is a fully-equipped kosher/vegetarian kitchen and special arrangements can be made for shabbat-observant families. A washing machine, ironing facilities and of course free Wi-Fi, are also provided.
Guests may take a gentle 5-minute stroll into town to enjoy Zichron's charming and relaxed atmosphere, with its many cafes, boutiques, restaurants and wine-bars, as well as the historic Aaronson House and Museum, and the First Aliyah Museum. In addition, tours are available in English of the two local wineries - the Carmel Mizrachi Winery and the Tishbi Winery. The glorious beaches of Hof Dor and HaBonim (a Nature Parks Authority nature reserve) are a few minutes drive away. Windsurfing and paragliding are both available and scuba diving can be found among the ancient ruins of Caesarea, 15 minutes south of Zichron.
The train station is an easy 7 minute drive from Zichron, with fast and direct trains to Tel Aviv and Haifa (30 minutes) and Ben Gurion Airport (50 minutes)from Binyamina.
Come and see for yourselves!

We came to Israel to visit with family. Families being families, it was also important for us to have a place that we felt was our own. Initially, we took a different property which was more low-end. We didn't feel comfortable inviting people over. We were also bummed by a number of issues. Eventually, we decided that our happiness was more important than the trouble of switching a place. In retrospect, a very good decision! This place is just gorgeous. Keep in mind, this was middle of winter and still the garden was wonderful and we felt very at home. The place itself is an old, converted farmhouse, very good taste in the layout and interior design. The owner was very nice and accommodating as well. The things to know: 1. We couldn't find room to store our many suitcases (there was enough room for the contents). The owner stored them for us at her own office. 2. The shower is a curtained area with a low barrier on the floor. You need to accept that it's not enclosed. Personally, I would have preferred if it was enclosed, but not a big deal. 3. TV is a small CRT. Surprisingly, it was just fine given the layout of the living room. 4. Getting heavy suitcases all the way to the room takes a bit of an effort (need to go up an incline, some stairs and a short gravel walkway). Make sure you're ok with it or plan to have someone help you. Maybe the owner can help find someone if there's a need. Otherwise, they have 3 A/Cs, so everyone can get their way. Furniture is very comfortable and in good taste. Sheets and towels are of very good material. There's a bunch of supplies already there that you can use. Not to mention the fairly short walk to Zichron's midrachov, the touristy center of the town with plenty of shops and places to eat. I recommend the 'HaNadiv', especially because they deliver. There's plenty of parking on the street if you have a car. We had a wonderful time and are set on coming back on our next visit.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

My family and I recently spent two nights at this lovely stone cottage in Zichron Yaakov. The cottage itself was spacious, inviting and well equipped; the beds in particular were quite comfortable. The cottage is surrounded by a peaceful garden that is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. We would definitely return to this property for our next visit to Israel. The hosts were very accommodating to our every needs and eagerly answered our questions about Zichron Yaakov and environs. They suggested a one-day trip of a nearby artist colony, Druze village and the ancient port city of Akko, which was a delightful excursion. Other nearby attractions include the Roman ruins at Caesaria and the gardens at Baron de Rothschild's mausoleum. In all, our stay at the cottage was even better than we imagined. I give it the highest recommendation.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

We were very happy with our stay in Zichron. The cottage is very cute. The cottage is basically a straight line with 3 sections. In the middle is the kitchen/dining/living room. On each end is a bedroom. The bathroom is in the hallway. It is very cute, and the garden is nice, too. The only negative is that you have to drag luggage up the driveway and over some steps.Since we travel with very young children, this was a small inconvenience. With older kids or for a couple, it would not matter. We were there during a heatwave and fortunately the A/C worked well. The walk is short to the main restaurant strip and we had a lovely time using it as a launch pad for day trips.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Lovely apartment. Exceeded expectations even with all the nice photos on the web. Plenty of room for 7 (myself, spouse, 4 kids, and an infant). The detached structure is elegantly decorated and recently designed. Everything was fresh and modern. The owner was away but a friend of the owner was available and very helpful with local questions . . Owner was very accomodating in terms check-in check-out time to help us address logistical issues with out luggage. Its on a residential street but within walking (5-10 minutes) distance of many attractions (the pedestrian mall, the wineries, stores and restuarants, several local museums, supermarket). We were a bit apprehensive using VRBO (private rental) but had and excellent experience and plan to use this site again when we travel in the future.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

We stayed at the cottage for two weeks in April and had a very pleasant experience. Accommodation was excellent, house was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The garden was a joy. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, in proximity to the main street with cafes and shopping. Our special requests were answered immediately, and we would stay there again. Take into account that israeli showers are such that you will need to use the squeegee mop to clear the water that pools on the bathroom floor. Access to cottage includes steps, and steep driveway, difficult for person with walking disability. Bottom line, If you are looking for a quiet, and relaxing experience this is the place.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I stayed in the guesthouse for one week in January. The surrounding area is beautiful and has a great place to walk with shops and restaurants. It is also in a great location for traveling up and down the coast. The house is very clean and very comfortable. We did have a bit of trouble with the washer simply because it was European and we weren't used to it, so beware! Joanna very helpful, offering to dry my sons clothes (uniforms) so he could get back to his base on time. We hope to stay again sometime.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I and our infant son stayed in this beautiful cottage for about two weeks last fall. It was so beautiful, very comfortable and quiet. This was an excellent location from which to visit friends throughout the country, while still having a peaceful place to come back to. When travelling with a child, the laundry and the kitchen were a huge help. The only issue is that there is a long walkway and some stairs on the way to the cottage and you can't drive the car closer, so if you have a lot of luggage it is a bit of a shlep. You should also be aware that it is in the backyard of a family home. We were a bit disappointed that the family was not quite as friendly as we may have wished, but perhaps they were trying to give us some privacy. We plan on returning to stay here again when we are next in Israel, and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially with children.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband and I stayed in the cottage while visiting the town for a family function. The cottage was clean, quiet, had excellent air conditioning, charming ambiance, and a functional kitchen. The property is on a hill and there is an upward sloping driveway plus about seven stairs, but very easy for those hardy enough for this amount of exertion to negotiate. The garden is beautiful, and we could easily walk to the most interesting parts of Zichron. I would stay there again for our next trip. We did not use the second bedroom, but it would be very comfortable for both children or teens.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.
