We came to Israel to visit with family. Families being families, it was also important for us to have a place that we felt was our own. Initially, we took a different property which was more low-end. We didn't feel comfortable inviting people over. We were also bummed by a number of issues. Eventually, we decided that our happiness was more important than the trouble of switching a place. In retrospect, a very good decision! This place is just gorgeous. Keep in mind, this was middle of winter and still the garden was wonderful and we felt very at home. The place itself is an old, converted farmhouse, very good taste in the layout and interior design. The owner was very nice and accommodating as well. The things to know: 1. We couldn't find room to store our many suitcases (there was enough room for the contents). The owner stored them for us at her own office. 2. The shower is a curtained area with a low barrier on the floor. You need to accept that it's not enclosed. Personally, I would have preferred if it was enclosed, but not a big deal. 3. TV is a small CRT. Surprisingly, it was just fine given the layout of the living room. 4. Getting heavy suitcases all the way to the room takes a bit of an effort (need to go up an incline, some stairs and a short gravel walkway). Make sure you're ok with it or plan to have someone help you. Maybe the owner can help find someone if there's a need. Otherwise, they have 3 A/Cs, so everyone can get their way. Furniture is very comfortable and in good taste. Sheets and towels are of very good material. There's a bunch of supplies already there that you can use. Not to mention the fairly short walk to Zichron's midrachov, the touristy center of the town with plenty of shops and places to eat. I recommend the 'HaNadiv', especially because they deliver. There's plenty of parking on the street if you have a car. We had a wonderful time and are set on coming back on our next visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I recently spent two nights at this lovely stone cottage in Zichron Yaakov. The cottage itself was spacious, inviting and well equipped; the beds in particular were quite comfortable. The cottage is surrounded by a peaceful garden that is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. We would definitely return to this property for our next visit to Israel. The hosts were very accommodating to our every needs and eagerly answered our questions about Zichron Yaakov and environs. They suggested a one-day trip of a nearby artist colony, Druze village and the ancient port city of Akko, which was a delightful excursion. Other nearby attractions include the Roman ruins at Caesaria and the gardens at Baron de Rothschild's mausoleum. In all, our stay at the cottage was even better than we imagined. I give it the highest recommendation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Lovely apartment. Exceeded expectations even with all the nice photos on the web. Plenty of room for 7 (myself, spouse, 4 kids, and an infant). The detached structure is elegantly decorated and recently designed. Everything was fresh and modern. The owner was away but a friend of the owner was available and very helpful with local questions . . Owner was very accomodating in terms check-in check-out time to help us address logistical issues with out luggage. Its on a residential street but within walking (5-10 minutes) distance of many attractions (the pedestrian mall, the wineries, stores and restuarants, several local museums, supermarket). We were a bit apprehensive using VRBO (private rental) but had and excellent experience and plan to use this site again when we travel in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were very happy with our stay in Zichron. The cottage is very cute. The cottage is basically a straight line with 3 sections. In the middle is the kitchen/dining/living room. On each end is a bedroom. The bathroom is in the hallway. It is very cute, and the garden is nice, too. The only negative is that you have to drag luggage up the driveway and over some steps.Since we travel with very young children, this was a small inconvenience. With older kids or for a couple, it would not matter. We were there during a heatwave and fortunately the A/C worked well. The walk is short to the main restaurant strip and we had a lovely time using it as a launch pad for day trips.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the cottage for two weeks in April and had a very pleasant experience. Accommodation was excellent, house was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The garden was a joy. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, in proximity to the main street with cafes and shopping. Our special requests were answered immediately, and we would stay there again. Take into account that israeli showers are such that you will need to use the squeegee mop to clear the water that pools on the bathroom floor. Access to cottage includes steps, and steep driveway, difficult for person with walking disability. Bottom line, If you are looking for a quiet, and relaxing experience this is the place.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed in the guesthouse for one week in January. The surrounding area is beautiful and has a great place to walk with shops and restaurants. It is also in a great location for traveling up and down the coast. The house is very clean and very comfortable. We did have a bit of trouble with the washer simply because it was European and we weren't used to it, so beware! Joanna very helpful, offering to dry my sons clothes (uniforms) so he could get back to his base on time. We hope to stay again sometime.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I stayed in the cottage while visiting the town for a family function. The cottage was clean, quiet, had excellent air conditioning, charming ambiance, and a functional kitchen. The property is on a hill and there is an upward sloping driveway plus about seven stairs, but very easy for those hardy enough for this amount of exertion to negotiate. The garden is beautiful, and we could easily walk to the most interesting parts of Zichron. I would stay there again for our next trip. We did not use the second bedroom, but it would be very comfortable for both children or teens.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My husband and I love to stay at this cottage in Zichron. We use it as a restful getaway to relax and recharge. The cottage has everything - its spacious, and clean and its set in a beautiful garden with chairs to sit and enjoy the green. We also like to walk around the neighborhood streets to see the foliage and look at views of the ocean. It is shabbat friendly, so its a nice place to spend a quiet shabbat. Joanna is very organized and friendly and can accomodate different needs. Its centrally located, but removed enough that its quiet. I wish we could go more often! I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This property is a great stone cottage with great hosts. It was everything we could have wanted for our stay in Israel. A beautiful house with a beautiful garden, its location allowed us to easily visit locations all over Israel, yet also find time to enjoy the wonderful historic town of Zichron Yaacov, its cafes and wineries and its lovely local character. It is also just minutes from multiple beaches.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for about a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. The location is very peaceful and quiet, and the sitting area outside has views of the lovely garden. Zichron Yaakov is well-situated to get on to any of the highways, yet is a lovely small town. Would highly recommend this listing.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Wonderful gardens and surroundings. Beautifully appointed, clean and very comfortable. A quiet place to come "home" to after a busy day. It's an easy walk to the center of town, for shops and restaurants. The amenties are great, and the furnishings are lovely. It's very secluded and it's both a romantic environment as well as warm and welcoming for children. It was a delightful place to be. The owners were very hospitable and responsive, and there to help in any way. I would recommend this lovely space to anyone wanting a great experience in a lovely town. In fact, next time I visit Zichron, before I make my travel plans, I'll check to make sure the cottage is available.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed for a week at the cottage. The house is well equipped and well decorated. It's ideally located, close to the city center, to the restaurants and shops ! My husband's children came to eat with us for the shabbat and the 7 of us easily fit around the table lent by Joanna, our very organized and helpful host (who even recommanded a physiotherapist for my back : thank you easyjet :)) The place was clean and well maintained. We will come back in September!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Highly recommended. The cottage is a renovated picturesque stone building with a modern interior, furnishings, and amenities. Comfortable and quiet. It is about 2 1/2 blocks from the central pedestrian street in Zichron. It is situated at the rear of the owners' large backyard, facing a beautifully maintained garden. The owners are available and helpful. We stayed comfortably for a month. While one could walk into central Zichron for restaurants and basic groceries, you would most probably want a car in order to leave Zichron or stock up with groceries. Train to Tel Aviv (and elsewhere) is a 10-15 minute drive away.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Private quarters in modern, well appointed cottage. Walking distance to Zicrhon's main street with cafes' boutiques and historic places of interest. We stayed approximately one week in February and were most comfortable. Very good wireless internet connection and we were able to use a vonage phone (unlike in other locations on our trip). This was a big plus during our working vacation!!! A heated towel rack was being ordered by the owners as bath towels took a bit too long to dry. A clothes dryer would be a helpful addition for the winter months. Owners very responsive to any questions or concerns. And since the cottage is situated behind their main home, (separated by a spice and flower gardern) any of our requests were met timely and cheerfully. Very clean and the owner's pride in the cottage was obvious in the choice of materials and colors used to decorate the rooms. We would certainly return and recommend our little stone cottage to any family looking for a sweet get-a-way while visiting Zichron. We were just a couple, but with that extra bedroom, the cottage would work well for family with tots to teens. (Second bedroom is on the other side of the cottage separated by the living/kitchen area). Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cottage in Zichron is reasonably priced, and is as quaint and lovely as the pictures show. We were 2 adults and 2 grown children and found the place comfortable, clean and well kept. The living room and kitchen areas are more than adequate. The owners provide a TV, DVD and movies to watch. The bedrooms and living room have wall mounted heater/AC so that the cottage is always comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and provide a peaceful small outdoor sitting area. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking, a washer is provided for laundry and a large grocery store is walking distance from the cottage. The town is also walking distance and many different restaurants are available there. The owners live in a house in front of the cottage and are available if needed. They were helpful and accommodating. There are some sites to visit in the area and the city of Haifa is only 30-40 minutes away by car. Even Tel Aviv is accessible by car (about 45-50 minutes) if you are not going during rush hour. I would highly recommend this property to other Israel travelers and would return myself. Visitors will feel "at home" here!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Everything at this cottage is very carefully taken care of, and the owners are always available if there's a problem. The cottage is very near to the lovely village of Zichron Yaacov and all its shops and restaurants--as well as many houses of worship. We were very glad we were able to stay there and only would have liked the bathroom sink to have been less prone to splashing (it's quite a modern sink!).Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Please note: Our cottage is in the very centre of Zichron Yaacov, not 'very near the village of Zichron Yaacov' as suggested by this reviewer!

My husband and I and our infant son stayed in this beautiful cottage for about two weeks last fall. It was so beautiful, very comfortable and quiet. This was an excellent location from which to visit friends throughout the country, while still having a peaceful place to come back to. When travelling with a child, the laundry and the kitchen were a huge help. The only issue is that there is a long walkway and some stairs on the way to the cottage and you can't drive the car closer, so if you have a lot of luggage it is a bit of a shlep. You should also be aware that it is in the backyard of a family home. We were a bit disappointed that the family was not quite as friendly as we may have wished, but perhaps they were trying to give us some privacy. We plan on returning to stay here again when we are next in Israel, and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially with children.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We found our stay in the Wiseman guest-house delightful. The rooms are beautifully appointed and modern (with very good kitchen facilities and excellent air-conditioning – a necessity in the Zikhron climate). The surroundings are absolutely silent – and the ground-level porch looks onto an extraordinary garden, exquisitely landscaped with flowers, shrubs and trees indigenous to the climate. The hosts are efficient and gracious, as well as very respectful of one’s privacy.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Myself and two friends visited Israel this month and as we were aiming to head north on our first morning, I decided to go to Zichron Yaacov for our first night. The hotels we tried (the Maimon etc) were quite a walk from the main thoroughfare of shops and restaurants and its reviews were mixed. By luck, we chanced upon the Loggia, recommended in a review on the internet by a previous guest. I cannot recommend it highly enough for a visitor to the beautiful town of Zichron. It is a (less than) five minute walk from all the restaurants and shops, the facilities are all there - good shower, air con, good beds, tv with every channel under the sun, lots of space, an outdoor area to sit and have wine or breakfast. The owners were there to welcome us and were very helpful. They live on site - about 20 yards from the Loggia - which is perfect - near enough to call in an emergency, far away enough to allow you to enjoy your holiday without feeling you are intruding. In short we loved our stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have stayed at the property more than once and each time have been further impressed. We were in Israel to be in loco parentis for our daughter whilst she was unwell and therefore needed a sanctuary at the end of a busy and tiring day. It proved to be perfect for our needs. Quiet, peaceful, tranquil garden and everything that is required for a stay away from home. Anything which wasn't there we mentioned to the owners and promptly it was sorted. I can think of no better place to stay in Zichron and we have, over the years, experienced other accommodation none of which were such a perfect experience. I wish anyone staying there a wonderful time and the same feeling of home as we had.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
