We have recently upgraded things with new linens, 55' LED TV and additional kitchen items!! All new mattresses for additional comfort. We have also upgraded the master bedroom from a queen bed to a king bed.

Nestled in the maritime forest, but only one minute to East Beach and the Shoals Club, this recently constructed home offers the respite couples and small families welcome. Enjoy the quiet or the fun activities on the Common at Cape Fear Station.

The house is brightly and professionally decorated and features an adjacent crofter with a queen bed for a separate couple or teens. In the house, two large bedrooms are upstairs, the master with a king bed, small deck, adjoining full bath with walk-in shower, and flat screen TV; and the kids' room with 2 twin beds and adjoining full bath. Relax on the large front porch and eat outside on the screened-in porch in back.

Renters have loved staying at our home because of its proximity to the beach, Shoals Club, the Bald Head Island Conservancy, and Turtle Central, and also because it's in the kid-friendly Cape Fear Station area. We will accept up to two well trained dogs (additional $200 fee required for first dog, additional $50 for the second dog). Sorry no cats. Optional weekly memberships to the Shoals Club and Bald Head Island Club are available. The golf course is spectacular and, as one would expect, features many holes where water comes into play.

There is high-speed internet with wifi throughout the house as well as free and unlimited long distance domestic calling. A gas grill and beach chairs are included. 7-day Saturday to Saturday rental required in summer. Minimum 3-days in other seasons.

                    Had a great week on BHI, staying at Sweet16, which is located towards the East end of the island. The house was nicely decorated and clean. The separate crofter suite provided an excellent and *separate* space for the kids. It's a pet friendly rental, so we were able to bring our two dogs. The location is very convenient to Conservatory and is within walking distance from beach access, as well as to the hiking trails.

                    Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, tourists without a car.

                    This house was so perfect for us with our two little kids and my mother coming with us (she was able to stay in the crofter). It's so convenient to get to the Shoals Club where we could all play in the pool. And the special events on the Common in Cape Fear Station around the July 4th holiday were loads of fun. And we were just a short walk. Everything was new and clean and the price very affordable. We've already booked our return trip for this spring.

                    Great location, beautifully kept house, and it was so relaxing knowing the kids were safe playing in front. Being able to take our dog was really wonderful. She loved running around on the beach. Bald Head Island is a very special place and we look forward to going back and staying in Sweet 16 again.

                  Summer rentals are Saturday (4PM) to Saturday (10AM). Other seasons are minimum 3 night stays. Club membership available as separate purchase: Bald Head Island Club Sports Membership $170/week. Shoals Club $175/week.                   Cancellation policy:

                  RENTAL RULES 1. RENTAL PAYMENT: After making your reservation, you will receive a Vacation Rental Agreement. Please check all of the information for accuracy, sign, and return it along with payment of one half the gross rents and a $30 non-refundable administration fee. This fee covers additional guest services and administrative costs. This must be done within 14 days of making your reservation. Unconfirmed reservations will be cancelled without notice after the due date. Personal checks or credit cards are acceptable. Balance of your rental payment must be received 30 days in advance of your check-in date. Personal checks are also acceptable for the final payment if received 30 days in advance of arrival. If a reservation is made 30 days prior to check-in date or less, this will require credit card confirmation until certified funds are received. Credit cards are accepted for a security deposit. Taxes are 6.75% State and 6% Bald Head Accommodation for a total tax of 12.75%. 2. PARTIAL WEEK/HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS: Call for prices on partial week rentals. Partial weeks with 3-night minimum will require 12.75% tax, $30 non-refundable reservation fee, and travel insurance (if applicable) to be added to rental rate. Credit card confirmation is required when booking your reservation. Reservations made 2 weeks or less prior to arrival will result in automatic charge to your MasterCard or Visa. After confirmation is made, all nightly cancellation procedures apply with receipt of a signed contract. 3. DAMAGE/CLEANING DEPOSIT: A credit card number and signed affidavit is required on all reservations for a damage/cleaning deposit. In event of a violation of our rules and regulations, Homeowner will process the credit card number furnished and debit tenants account for the necessary charges. In the event you do not have a credit card, a $500.00 refundable cash deposit will be required upon check-in. If the unit is left clean and damage free the cash deposit will be returned within 45 days from your departure date. We ask our guests to report any breakage or damages upon occurrence and settle the matter before departure. All rental units are carefully checked for damages after guest departure. 4. Smoking is NOT allowed within the home or adjacent building. Smoking is only allowed outside. Guest must property dispose of smoking materials. 5. OCCUPANCY: Restricted to the number of occupants (2 per bedroom) as described for that home per the NC Septic Law. We maintain a family atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of our guests. We rent only to family groups, married couples and responsible adults over the age of 21. Absolutely no house parties allowed! Occasions such as weddings, receptions, and family gatherings must be requested in writing and approved by the Homeowner prior to the execution of a lease. Every effort is made to see that our property are adequately equipped and properly portrayed in the brochure. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 6. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 7. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Under no circumstances are items to be removed from the property other than the following designated items which can only be borrowed until the end of this agreement period: 1) Golf carts 2) Bicycles 3) Beach chairs 4) Beach gaming equipment. We ask that these items be returned in good working order. Guest is responsible for all damages incurred on these items while in Guest’s use. 8. EQUIPMENT & FURNISHINGS: The Property has a fully-equipped kitchen, coffee maker, dishwasher, washer and dryer, vacuum cleaner, 55” LED TV, microwave oven, HVAC, telephones, bath towels and bed linen. Cribs and crib linens must be requested when reservation is made. The Property has two four-passenger electric golf carts. Complimentary initial supplies of cleaning products, paper towels, bath tissue and soap are provided at check-in. Additional supplies can be purchased at the Maritime Market. Locked closets are maintained by homeowners for personal use. Please respect these areas. Only use appliances for their intended uses 9. PETS are permitted only with prior approval and the Pet Addendum must be completed. Only dogs will be permitted under this addendum and additional fees apply. 10. GOLF CARTS/BIKES: Electric golf carts are subject to all laws applicable to operation of a motor vehicle on a public road, including the requirement that operators must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid driver's license. All traffic ordinances are enforced by the Police Department of the Village of Bald Head Island, and violators will be fined. Rental guests will be responsible for any damages caused to an electric vehicle or caused by an electric vehicle, which they or any member of their party is operating. Under the age of 16, bike helmets are required. Please do not leave a stranded cart without notifying the Homeowner immediately of the problem. 11. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. All of our homes include departure maid service as part of the rental price. We ask that you put your dishes in the dishwasher and take the trash out. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. 12. Fireplace: Please obtain prior approval for useage of fireplace. 13. ON ARRIVAL: When guests arrive at the Deepoint Ferry Terminal, they should place their luggage on the baggage racks and make sure an outfitter is aware that their luggage needs to be loaded on the ferry. Guests are asked to put their names on all luggage and boxes. There is no extra charge for up to four items per guest (subject to change); luggage, sealed boxes or golf clubs. Large, bulky items such as bicycles, cribs and high chairs will require special handling and a cargo ticket at an additional fee. Larger items such as windsurfers may require more than one special cargo ticket depending upon size. Surfboards do not require a special cargo ticket, but must be hand carried aboard the ferry. Loose items such as open-top bags or boxes, grocery bags, styrofoam coolers, jackets, shoes, tennis rackets, or fragile items such as video cameras must be hand carried. Remember to pack helmets and pads if you will be biking or skating on the island. Pets are not allowed inside the ferry cabins. 14. Check in is at 4:00PM and check out is no later than 10:00AM (strictly enforced). All checkouts should leave keys in the unit. Don’t forget to make Tram reservations! 15. Fireworks of any kind are not permitted on Property. 16. SMOKE DETECTORS: Please check smoke detector operation upon arrival and notify us of any malfunction.

                  About the owner: We've been visiting Bald Head Island for 10 years and can't think of anyplace we like better. When you leave your car on the mainland and hop onto the ferry, you feel the stresses of work and home slip away. Our two chocolate labs can never get enough of running on the beach. But they also love sitting in the golf cart as we drive to and from the stores and restaurants. We love to sit by the pool at the clubs or play Bocci Ball on the beach. We live in Wilmington and get over as often as we can.

                  Why the Owner Chose Bald Head Island:
                  We have recently purchased this property and want to share its comforts with your family. It's location is terrific since it's in Cape Fear Station, just a minute or so from East Beach, and a short walk to Turtle Central and the Cape Fear Village Green. So it's particularly good for families.
