Keauhou Punahele is located at the very south end of Ali'i Highway, a 5 minute walk to Keauhou Bay and the Sheraton. We are close to shops, restaurants and many of the varied activities this island has to offer.
Our unit is located at a quiet area of this peaceful complex. There is very little traffic. The surrounding grounds are carefully manicured with well established plants. shrubs and trees native to Hawaii.
Our condo is a spacious 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath (1200 sq. ft), 2nd floor unit with a bridge entry from the parking lot. (NO stairs)
The extra large lanai has golf course and ocean views from the living room and the master bedroom. Great for watching the sunsets!!
-Our living room has lots of comfy furniture, a 32' LCD TV and a DVD player.
-The dining area has large glass table and four cushioned chairs.
-The master bedroom has a king size bed with private 2 room bathroom and walk-in closet.
-The second bedroom has a queen bed, entertainment centre with TV, and bathroom, complete with a large washer and dryer.
-The kitchen has all the necessities, stove with oven, microwave, fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, cooking utensils, all pots and pans, dishes, glasses and cutlery. We also include a large spice cupboard, coffee maker, blender and kettle.
-All rooms have ceiling fans.
-On the large lanai, we have a gas BBQ and patio furniture including dining table and lounger.
These buildings are constructed of cement, making it quiet and cool as the gentle breezes sweep through.
We have included cable, wireless internet and free long distance to Canada and the US, to keep in touch with family at home.
This is a NON-SMOKING COMPLEX. Smoking is PROHIBITED within the condominium, on the lanai, in the entryways, on the pathways and in the pool area. Pets are not allowed.
Located only a mile from a shopping centre that includes a grocery store, drug store, restaurants, a post office, a movie theatre and many shops. Also close by is one on the best snorkeling beaches in the area.

Hawaii was never on our "bucket list", but after staying with friends for a week, decided to stay on another 2 weeks in your very lovely and comfortable condo. Have felt right at home from the very start. Since we will be returning to your condo for the month of March next year, the Big Island has risen to the top of of our "bucket list" and will no doubt continue to stay for many years to come. My husband and I and another couple stayed in this condo for a month in November/December 2010. We had stayed in the Keauhou Punahele complex the year before so we knew that the complex itself is quiet and the grounds are well maintained. When we arrived for our stay in this unit we were pleasantly surprised at the obvious thought that had gone into choosing the furniture, cookware, dishes and other amenities. The condo was very clean and well maintained which made us feel right at home. We would definitely rent this condo again. The owner was very helpful and even called to check that we had everything we needed which was a nice touch. The Keauhou area of Kona has everything you need to be comfortable during your vacation on the Big Island as the Keauhou Shopping Center is close by. I definitely recommend kayaking across Kealakekua Bay early in the morning but be sure to take your mask, snorkel and fins that you can rent at Jack's Diving Locker in the Coconut Grove Marketplace in Kona.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: After over 20 years of visiting the Big Island of Hawaii and staying in Kona, I decided it was time to make it my second home. Spending some winter months in this area is a lovely change from Canada's climate. Although I love my home in British Columbia, I also love my new hale in Keauhou. I hope you will, too. I find this area so quiet, but close to everything I need. There is a fantastic view and the having no stairs into the unit is so convenient. It is a great area to walk or jog. The grounds of this property are extremely well maintained, from the trees, shrubs and flowers to the pool and hot tub area.
